3 YEARS IN! 🥰 Our Tropical Homestead!!! 🌴🤠🐔

🌴We have been living at Vintage Food Farm on our tropical homestead for three years!
We left our expensive, exhausting hustle & bustle life in the big city to be more self-sufficient in beautiful, tropical, Far North Queensland, Australia.
🦘We have a 3.2 acre block, 40 mins from Cairns, an old 1980's house, big shed, rainwater tanks, bore water and it changed our lives!
🐔We raise chickens for farm fresh (super) eggs🥚, guinea fowl, grow tropical herbs, vegetables and fruit trees to produce a heap of yummy, fresh, healthy food from our property.

We knew absolutely nothing about producing our own food and living this life, so we just started and learnt what we needed to along the way.

🌀Far North Queensland has had a tough time in the wake of X Tropical Cyclone Jasper which caused a lot of rain and flood damage. The region received up to 2 meters of rain over a week.
Many people had significant damage to their homes and businesses.
⛈️The rain only took its toll on our garden and we lost some trees and a lot of the veggie garden. In the last couple of weeks it has started to recover which is fantastic!
