A new video - a smile on my face, oh yeah. Good to see u back in ur tropical paradise, I'm learning a lot listening and watching you, thank you brother
Living the Dream mate! Just incredible what a few seeds and a fair bit of work can do, good work on the Broll, edit and value your giving! It all takes time but completely worth it, I would add more of the sound effects of the local fauna, animals and ambience. Cheers to more abundance!
You need some KNF, check out Chris Trump on RUclips, or Jadam (a simpler, cheaper version). You’re already using some good materials (fish waste, amazing) those pits will become amazing planting holes for bananas or papaya etc. by fermenting your plant waste, not just chopping and dropping you can increase the fertility faster, but you can do both. Can you find a source of chicken manure or horse manure nearby? The fungi are a great sign, wish you a lot of luck. Love to hear a grower waiting to build up soil first before pumping it for crops 👌🦠💚🙏
Great shout, really appreciate the message :) Love me some KNF and JADAM! both big inspirations for me. Still trying to figure out IMO but I do JMS every 2-3 weeks and made some banana FPJ, also got some FAA fermenting away. Still working on all the other inputs. So cool how much you can do with fermentation
What an amazing place you live....wish i had a brother living in Costa rica;)) I use my own urine a lot in the garden, if you ad a lot of carbon to the soil, it will take away all the nitrogen and to fix this you can use the urine. But you have to dilute it, about 1 to 1,5 ltr of urine and 9 or 8,5 ltr of water and your plants will go grow like an idiot and will also got a deeper green color. And if you have woodash, what is a good source of potasium and dilute this with water, about 3 hands in 10 ltr water, mix it well and give this to the fruiting crops it will help to grow bigger fruits. Also works good with rootcrops, like union, beets etc to get bigger roots/ bulbs. I am using this already for many years in my garden en really helps me to have more harvest;))
Awesome advice!! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. Gonna be putting these great ideas to the test :) how far do these solutions go? Are you just watering a bit per plant or can you really soak the soil without any issues?
@@FarmerNateCR depends on the plants, small crops like lettuce will have enough with 1 ltr orso, and maybe 2 or 3 times. And bigger ones like banana you can give like 5 ltr at 1 time and repeat this a few times. I do this mostly like 1 or 2 times a week, dont have enough pee to do this more often.....or maybe i have to much plants;)) But use your eyes and observation, every soil is different, dont know how much nitrogen there is in your soil. If the plants start to have Brown edges they have to much, than you better stop the peewatering. And ill guess you have a lot of banana peels also in the tropics? Just throw them in some water for a few days and you will have a good source of phosfor, also good for fruits and roots/bulbs like the woodash. And if you really wanna know what you are doing with this self made fertilizers you can buy an EC meter, costs about 50 bucks and than you can see how much nutrients there is in the water, for me 1 of the best investments i made last year, saves me so much money on fertilizers, plus its nice to use all this stuff what most people see as waist;)) have a good time playing in the jungle:))
