  • Farming enterprise Stam-Schaap Agro BV harvests and processes around 150 hectares of beetroot every year. The harvesting is done with two Asa-Lift elevator harvesters. One is from 2004, and the other from 2014. these harvesters lift the beetroot from the soil on the foliage and store it in a bunker. The transporting is done with three John Deere 7530 tractors with Beco Super 2400 tipper trailers. The crop is transported to the yard where it is stored in a heap and under straw to sell during the winter. The crop is piled up with a custom build machine that can hold a load of a tipper trailer, roughly 20 tons, clean the crop and gently place the beetroot on the pile.
