Thank you for taking the time to make this video - very helpful in understanding how to test the a/c valve. One minor point, the valve is a voltage-controlled pulse width modulated actuator. The control voltage would vary between 0.4 and 0.8 volts DC, not amps. Thanks again.
My compressor clutch spins. Gas at 115psi. But low and high wont differ. I can only think control valve is shut. So if shut is 12v and open is 0v? Problem started after replacing bat. Maybe climate control settings in cpu need resetting. Ill play with voltage on valve. See if i can over ride valve control.
I have two solenoids one from an old compressor I changed out and I can blow through it and it closes off when I put power to it The current compressor I'm working on I can't blow through it at all do you know what that means
Full current to a PWM electronic control solenoid is a poor life decision.. this is not how you test these valves.. this is how one can be confident in knowing that applying un-modulated current to this bi-directional bi-polar valve will cease to work again... just replace/refresh with an upgraded design
short , immediately to the point
that's what RUclips should be
thank you
I agree

0~12 Volts 0.4~0.8Ampere
Thank you for making this video
So if I back probé it with a power probe and provide battery voltaje while connected will it activate?
Thanks, that was very helpful!
Recomended for you

i want to ask..if i want just to replace valve sensor..need to remove gas aircond or not?
Yes
Thank you very much.

Thank you very nice
tnx for video
Where did i get this testing tool

Why doesn't the Mercedes compressor work even though the compressor sensor is good?
good👍
PWM signal , not current

I did this with my compressor and a ballon.
