- This video provides a hands-on view of how to initially set up your Android device to be mirrored via a USB connection to the display of the JVC KW-M150BT Digital Multimedia Receiver.
Important:
*Android device must be connected via Bluetooth to the Receiver.
*Android device must have OS7.0 or higher.
*Must install “Mirroring OB for JVC” from the Google Play Store onto Android device.
*Most content from phone will be mirrored to receiver, but certain apps currently limit output of video, such as Netflix and Amazon video.
*The vehicle must be parked with the parking brake engaged to use this feature.
*Operation will vary by Android device.
This doesnt work
one design oversight I have discovered is the controls are not able to be seen at night. all you get is 5 blue dots on the left side. fine of you remember the order they are in.
So how do you stop your phone going blank while you're using maps or music etc? Or does it being connected to usb stop that happening? I'm unsure whether to go with this or an Android Audio type of head unit.
What wire do you need to ground so it works all the time it was the brown wire on one i did before
I tried this but my headunit go to parking off how to do that . I have lancer evo 7
So it is the same as kw-m24bt and kw-m25bt just better firmware?
I've a oneplus3t phone.when I play a RUclips video while d phone is connected to the same music player via USB,the video just plays for about 4minutes and then it goes back to the home menu of the music system.thats very annoying and I've to click on the mirroring again to continue for another 4minutes.pls help

What phones are supported on screen mirroring, i have a Moto z3 with Android 9 update and i have already updated the head unit with the firmware update and still can't use screen mirroring.
Also try multiple cables, what's else I can do to make it work ?

JVC!!! I just bought this. Do me well! Not even worried about if the mirroring function works. Just play flac, and sound good on the rca preouts. Pioneer wants more than 200$ for a screen unit that supports flac. The 300ex, does not.
How do you calibrate the touch screen so that where I'm touching on the radio is touching the same place on the phone?

So I got iPhone did all u said mine comes up as sound only no pictures or videos I have same head unit exactly the same I downloaded it but how when u stick the wire in an that pops up mine don’t it’s only the sound

If you're experiencing a black screen it's due to copyright restrictions from the app your using to view the video. That's why it works for RUclips in this case, but not Netflix.
If i left conected my android phone and i turn off the phone screen i can till see my gps on the car radio screen?

What happens if your using google maps via mirrorring then the phone screen goes standby mode (screen turns off either automatically or intentionally), will the jvc unit continue to show the map?
Typically it would have to be on, but it's possible this will vary by phone.
No it will not they sold this by false advertising the GPS feature. You can only mirror in park!!!

Are you referring to the KW-M865BW? How do I connect my note 10? I downloaded the app and followed each step but nothing happens
I have a Note 10 as well. Download the JVC OB screen mirror app. Then hit wireless screen mirror on the JVC. Then go to your Note 10 and drop down the menu on the top where the notification bar is and look for "Smart view." Then it should ask you to connect to a nearby device. Select your JVC and it should work.
How to access to reverse camera while driving forward?
For this model, the rear camera is only activate in reverse when trigged by the reverse wire. Thanks!
Does the phone screen have to be on all the time or can you put it on standby and can use the mirroring at the same time?
Typically it would have to be on, but it's possible this will vary by phone.

@@reng.5934 I'm not sure with Waze but it works good with google maps and my spotify.
Just fyi, I switched with my kid's Samsung A8 because it's home screen can go landscape mode unlike my g6, so the jvc unit can show a full (landscape) home screen too
@@jamdbtv8784 I had a G6 before the G7, the phone can go landscape, just can't remember how off the top of my head, but there's an option in the menu somewhere.

This receiver allows you to USB mirror your apps to the touch screen from supported android phones while the parking brake is engaged. @@alfinputra5772 Only if you install the stereo as intended by the manufacturer. You can install a parking brake bypass kit when you install the stereo that will make it think that the parking brake is applied at all times. Then you can use screen mirroring and other functions whenever you want. The whole thing is stupid when you consider that stand alone GPS units allow you to enter info while driving but aftermarket and OEM stereos won't allow it. This even bars a passenger from entering the info for you.

Make sure the receiver is up to date as well, sometimes the connection cable itself can be an issue. Try multiple cables. Thanks

How can you get Netflix to mirror on this head unit?
Netflix has restrictions on video output through a digital source. You can use the analog video input with a video output adaptor for your phone, mirroring is not allowed with digital copyrights. Thanks!

Hey Jackie! The USB's come out of the back and come with extensions allowing you to route them wherever the preferred location in the vehicle may be!
get a cut in or oem panel usb jack and install it then plug the stereos usb into the back of that.
The jvc mirroring app doesnt work it just says connecting how to fix this

Hey JVC, I'm looking at purchasing one of these units. At 2:00 the presenter was saying that park brake has to be engaged for screen mirroring to work. So I wont be able to use google maps on the screen for nav is that correct?
Use a bypass bro. It's like 3 wires and super easy to do. Check ebay or Amazon for the bypass. I have this radio and for some reason it didn't need a bypass. I still ordered one for like 10 bucks.

I have a galaxy A20 and it works perfectly but when I flip the phone to go on portrait mode it does it but it looks as small as my phone it doesn't cover all the stereo screen ! Why is that
@@danielthebarber2532 There is a size difference in the screens themselves. Your phone is a different aspect size in comparison to the receiver display.
Because you are in all, the literal definition "Mirroring" the screen does not change the format shape to fit the larger screen dimensions resulting in black bars in the empty space. Thanks

there is a difference in the Receiver displayed screen size ratios and the smartphone screen aspect ratios , this method allows for the full view at the maximum ratio without cropping or loosing some of the image being displayed. Basically, the screen is a different shape than the phone broadcast image so so it has some border where the phone image cant fill to the edge (stretching the image will distort the original image, so not a good alternative) Thanks

I just installed the stereo last night. Everything works great except Mirroring. I contacted technical support this morning and they advised to update the firmware. I tried everything using their instructions they emailed to me. I tried with a 16 GB Kinston USB drive formated fat32 and 3 files on the root drive. Also tried with my One Plus 5T phone and doesn't work. Lastly I tried with my Samsung Tablet and same thing searches and comes back with "No USB!". Samsung level 2 technician said they another USB. What a joke. This stereo will likely be replaced with an Alpine as JVC is lacking bigtime.

@@JVCMobileEntertainment With the new firmware I am now experiencing freezing of the unit. Only fix is to power cycle the stereo. Please advise as I am not impressed.

You may try using an alternate cable if there is an issue with the video signal, often times that will resolve the issue!

Wait... so I have access to Waze but can't drive with it because the vehicle has to be "parked"??? that's kinda lame. Glad I didn't buy this unit yet, will definitely go to Android Auto instead if this is the case, I was buying it mainly for the Waze display on the unit, don't care much about video as I don't want my data wasted.

If the screen displays Parking off you may not have the correct connection setup for the brake wire required signal. Thanks!
the biggest advertisement on JVC's page is showing maps being mirrored. I fell like I got bait and switched
With supported android phones the JVC KW-M150BT can certainly mirror, even map applications as well. This is not available with iOS or Apple Smartphones. Thank you
@@JVCMobileEntertainment is there going to be a firmware update or software update on the app to allow maps to be displayed while driving? That's where I fell like I got ripped off. The mirroring works great on my Samsung S10e when the emergency brake is on.

Google how to bypass, u can install a relay and it will give u a slight delay thinking the handbrake is wired into it.

Wire parking brake wire to switch. Wire a powered ground to other prong on switch. Flip switch on, off, and on to work. Easy, simple. Can even get a relay to do the same thing.
