Been using mine in my 2015 Pro4X for years with different packs and accessories attached - love it, but my bolts kept loosening. Didn’t want to use lock nuts or anything permanent to attach them to the hardware, then it came to me: Zip ties. Quiet, secure, and easily clipped to make the panels free for easy reorganization of the gear load , and easily reattached with fresh ties 👍🏼
To solve your wingnut problem, if you have enough screw length, remove the wingnut, remove the piece, install a nut behind so the screw now becomes a stationary stud. Then reassemble and the screw won't turn when you oput on the wingnut.
We’ve used ours for many years and Heps has a killer design. We did “upgrade” the hardware but for a couple dollars it wasn’t a big deal for us. Nice review
I've had one of the MOLLE panels about a year and it's pretty cool. One problem I had was that a couple weeks ago one of my pouches fell off. The edges of the holes in the panel cut through the straps. Other pouch straps are showing similar wear. Maybe do a pouch layout before you install, then put elliptical rubber grommets in the holes you plan to use.
Love my panels! One thing instead of using a paint can opener to feed the strap through, I use a pair of needle nose pliars to grab onto the strap and pull through the hole to button it down
It seems like it would work. The weight is being held by the overhead cargo hooks. The bottom screw are not holding much weight, more keeping the molle panel from swinging out.
Only here to say that if you choose a product that you know will cover the window then you can’t complain or call it a con when you then can’t see out of said window. That’s like complaining that you have less blood flow after using a tourniquet.
Why add a molle solution that you have to drill into the interior panel? Orange boxx offers a NO drill solution. 11 ga Panel that does not sit so close to your windows. Also is completely removable for loading and unloading your equipment.
Anyone else find it weird that he didn't weave the molle strap through the holster? I mean, I get that it's a holster, but seems like people who haven't ever used molle before are going to be strapping bags to these panels incorrectly..

Alexander Flores That’s a great idea! Thanks for watching.

Nissan Nation Podcast Agreed! Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the feedback. That is interesting as we have run them for years without that issue. Maybe you received a defective panel??

Ya buddy! Thank you for the suggestion.
@@RogueOverland no just strap things on it before installing it
I can use 1 word to replace the paint can opener technique: needle nose plyers.
Thanks for watching and for the tip!
But... that's three 3 words
Multitool...
Love my Heps Molle panels and love those Xterra’s!
Xterra Overland Ya buddy! Thanks for the comment.
Does it fit in pathfinder 2006 ?
Just ordered one today
You will like it!
Where from ?
Do you thing using drywall anchor would work to screw the mount to the plastic? I just don't want to mess with nuts in behind plastic etc?

Good point. Thanks for watching.

Never heard of them before. Sounds like something we should look into doing a review on. Thanks!
Really love the idea of the molle panel but cost, weight and blind spot to = a positive for storage. Wanna try the rear doors first and go from there
You can get a panel just for the driver's side rear window (which I'm not looking out when I'm driving anyways).
That’s what we did on our other xterra.
Good point. Hope it all worked out for you.
Do the sunglasses come with the kit?
😂….. you know it!
Hello there. I was wondering how you kept those bags in the headliner.
Just using the straps that come with the bags and wrapping them around the headliner poles. You can find the bag here:

Thanks for the advice.
Is your dogs name “Koa”? It means warrior in Hawaiian! Aloha and Mahalo from Hawaii!
Yes it is! Thank you for the information. It is also a type of wood from the region correct?
Rogue Overland..... yes, it’s also a type of Tree.

Here's the comment I was looking for 👍🏻
That's right Support your Country Made Brand Products. 💯👍 & #NoToMadeInChinaKnockOffFakePRODUCTS. 👎
We love to support made in the USA products where ever possible!
Not a huge fan of having to drill directly into your trim to mount. Seems tacky and just lazy.
We were a little hesitant and first but haven’t had any problems. Thanks for the input.
Definitely an extra owner. Lol
Thanks for watching.
Designed in USA built in China made on earth. Lol
