ALREADY done and accelerating. Asia today has 60% of the global population, 70% of the real global economy PPP, 80% of the world's resources, and produces 83% of all the stuff in the world.

@@xomox5316and a certain amount will be consumed just for someone's basic needs; Asia will not be expected to dominate the global millionaire population. It will dominate climate-related refugees / other climate panic (food shortages, panic buying, etc.)

I'm not chinese but in my experience there & here and same for many others, there's more censorship in US in 2024 than in China in 2024. Sad but true.
To say Asia dominate the west is misleading. Asia was always the centre of commerce and economy. China was called empire of silver during enlightenment era for a reason.
Guess what India was called ?
In olden times it's called Golden bird 🕊️🕊️🕊️
India was biggest economy for 2 millennia
Ancient Chinese travellers were surprised by the prosperity and culture of India. They have written detailed description of ancient India.

Thanks Andrew. I’d love to see a video about India. It’s always missing from your discussions about Asia.
Not speaking for him, but I used to wonder the same thing. I figured it's probably because India does not have golden passports nor allow dual/ multiple citizenships for foreigners who want to live in India...which is the main service Andrew provides for his clients.
If you have at least $1.2 million US dollars to invest you might be eligible for an investor visa. But the visa comes with restrictions and India is very strict about enforcing them.
IMO India is a good place to invest. Lots of opportunities there, but many Westerners won't venture there because they don't understand the culture, the dialects, the politics, or the corruption. And it can be a lot.
@@FallacyAsPraxisyes. I love India and Indians are beautiful people. But. You’ve got to know what you’re doing in India. They’re clever sharp and ruthless and as a westerner you’re fair game.
13:45 Saxo Bank (Denmark) has access to Malaysian stocks. Not sure if it's all stocks, but I recall hundreds showing up in a search.
I dont know Andrew. Inflation in the US is picking up again. Which means more USD will be sucked back to the US, and US is trying to block "Chinese related investments". We'll see though
Would love your view on Myanmar ongoing revolution on the dictatorship military junta and the implications of investing once they are overthrown

The Malaysian currency has fallen considerably YoY against their peers in the region and against most of the world throughout the years. It may be a great place to live but I wouldn't be betting on that economy with long term investments like property.

After watching many of your videos I'm surprised that you never mention Luxembourg and rarely mention Belgium as European tax-friendly countries.
Is there a particular reason for this? They seem to have a close to zero (or zero) taxation for capital gains meaning that they can be perfect for crypto and stocks investors. Belgium is not so great for bond investors as they have a special tax for bonds.
Is there anything I'm missing? Both countries (especially Belgium) have accessible residence and citizenship.
Inheritance taxation is also great.
And Belgium stands out for tax on selling "substantial shareholdings" meaning selling your own business.
@@RyolithRandil and your point is? It is a tax haven for anyone who can structure their income so that their gains are predominantly capital gains. It is not for those who can't. This is the case for literally any tax haven: it works for some, it doesn't work for others. Even for UAE
@@RyolithRandil Ireland that Nomad Capitalist promotes (and it seems to be a good one) has a very high capital gains tax, decently high personal dividend tax, high income tax. It doesn't work for everyone. But it doesn't mean that Nomad Capitalist is wrong when saying it can be a fantastic tax heaven for some people (mostly if they can avoid remitting)
I'd never pick any of EU countries as businessmen 😂 Too much bureaucracy and high prices, plus shady migrants and nuggets from Africa/Syria 💀

Asia is pretty fractured with different interests and alignment thus it has a hard time to challenge the US led camp. ASEAN is the most promising grouping but I do not think progress to unite with India and/or China into something similar to EU.
Andrew
I have family ties to Vietnam and to India, along with my own tie to the USA (US citizen by birth). While neither India nor Vietnam have anything like a Golden Visa or related, both are potentially great places to live or invest in.
While I know you mentioned Vietnam, what is your take on India, the most populous country in Asia if not the world. It is growing like wildfire.
I have no desire to get an Indian passport, primarily because India forbids dual citizenship. Also, for me, though nice, I seem to like Vietnam more so. Perhaps in my future I will be residing in Vietnam as a foreigner. Both the Vietnam and India passports are not worth it as far as me surrendering my US passport. Both forbid dual citizenship for those who naturalize.
Still India is worth mentioning...it's the more populous country in Asia.
You can get oci card which is pretty much citizenship without voting rights
Get a clue. US passport is an enormous liability. People like myself and others have literally spent millions to unload that albatross. From the worst country in the world, even in world history.
And ofd the US is now complicit in genocide per the UN Int'l Court of Justice, and opposed by the nations comprising about 90% of humanity. Not good.
@@montakute1328 how is it that bad? I mean you have to pay taxes even while abroad, but other than that you get access to many countries

Whether Asia can over take western world economically is not just down to China. Europe and America do enough damage to their own economies to solidify the projectory
Asia is already the economic center of the world.

Question: Will Asia Dominate the West?
Hmmmm
That is the wishful thinking for those who suffers inferiority complex and also a false cause for those who suffers superiority complex.
As an Asian I do not wish to dominate anyone in any parts of the world. I just wish people of all colour and ethnicity view each other as a normal person or a fellow human and not being judgemental to each other.
I think Andrew brings up many good points about investing in markets that are unfamiliar to a Western audience. Great video as usual!
However, just to play the devil's advocate, I think many people need to do their due dilligence and be aware of the risks.
I think many people will remember the CLOB saga in 1998 (aftected many Singaporean investors). This was during the Asian financial crisis in 1997.
I have read that recently, condominiums in Bangkok are becoming not as attractive due to over-supply. There are also various operational issues if people want to use it as rental property.
In addition, investors who are looking for higher returns also need to factor in currency exposure risks. If you have high returns, but you lose due to the currency depreciating and other associated costs, the returns in the end may not make sense or be that attractive.
Just my 2 cents 😅
*Thanks to Russia, Asia already dominating the West. Lets humour them just a little bit more time until they wake up from their cadtles and beautiful garden and realise its all but a joke*

Do not buy SEA stocks if you dont understand some of its accounting policy. Even so, the pump-and-dump is so rampant here, to the point that index is useless. In USA they dump on pension fund to eat the trash, in SEA (especially Indonesia) they dump it on index fund. Above? I've given PH too many chances it's a dump. The men are lazy, women wear the pants and there is little to no infrastructure. No thanks.
I hope Philippines succeeds, it has a lot of potential, but the Chinese threat is now looming. We need to keep the Communist Party away from free societies like Philippines. Everyone's talking about Taiwan but in reality the CCP is going to go for 'weaker' targets first & PH has been their enemy of choice recently. Everything hinges on whether we tolerate Chinese imperialism or not. I hope not.
