Rengoku is Mitsuri's mentor. And Love breathing derived from Flame Breathing.
Mitsuri was Rengoku's Tsuguko. That's likely why she reminds you so much of Rengoku. Love breathing is a shoot off from flame breathing as well. So there are plenty of reasons why she gives off the same vibes as Rengoku.
Gyokko's Backstory does not exist in the original story but was revealed later and is as follows:
Gyokko when he was human was called Managy, he lived in a village that lived off fishing, one day his parents went fishing, hours passed and they did not return, Managy notified the townspeople to search. After a day, Gyokko's parents were found drowned and floating on the seashore.
When Managy saw the bodies of his parents, he did not feel Horror, sadness or any other bad feeling, he felt fascinated by how his parents' bodies looked and called it art.
One day, Managy killed a village boy who was making fun of him and put him in a pot. The parents took revenge and pierced Managy's body with two huge fishing spears.
I don't remember this part very well but I don't remember if the parents in revenge also put his body a little in a vessel and it remained like that for almost a full day until at that moment Muzan passed by and he saw him, he transformed him into a demon, Gyokko as a demon would have a taste for children

Muichiro makes Gyokko look like sad shit, but Gyokkos va killing it. Gyokko isn’t even all that weak, he’s got several blood arts and then fish touch is an instant kill if it lands, but Muichiro is just too good.

Yeah, memory recovered Muichiro is amazing.
People underrate gyokko like he's weak af but he's strong, But as upper one acknowledged in a databook I believe it was, "gyokko relies to much on his blood art"
