I absolutely love the Rengoku love here. That even in his death... he is still saving lives. The moment the hilt appeared, it made me tear up knowing he was still there to help others. I definitely appreciated it giving Muichiro a flashback of a time he could remember of his former Hashira, showing the kindness and support that Rengoku gave him even when he couldn't give it back. Such a touching way of showing his influence even so long after he passed on.

Even if it isn't about the poison, he's human so he has limited stamina and fighting an UM is not a child's play. He's not superman you know. Uzui and Inosuke has ability to decrease the poison's effects but they still almost die because of it in the end.

The fact that no hashira has killed an upper moon for 113 years meaning that they're really strong and powerful. Gyokko was also strong and powerful but he was underestimating Muichiro the whole fight, that was his mistake. Also Muichiro could have drowned to death if it wasn't for Kotetsu and if Muichiro hadn't awaken his mark, he would have been dead. If it wasn't for Tanjiro, Genya and Nezuko, Mitsuri can't solo upper 4, even when she already awakened her mark, she still struggled fighting UMP and if Tanjiro didn't behead Hantengu on time, Mitsuri would be dead by now since she was shallowed. That goes to show how powerful the Upper Moons.

It will kill you if it lands on the skin, if treatment isn't available. His other OP ability let's him turn you into a fish if he touches you with his fists. In short, you DIE. Not only does he have those abilities at his disposal, but he has his tentacles, needle fish, killer fish scales ability, water prison, water bullets, and the ability to move to other pots almost instantaneously. Compare ALL of that to Gyutaro's poisonous Blood Sickle ability.
The whole point was to show how strong the slayers become with the mark! muichiro would’ve lost if he hadn’t awaken his mark! after the mark he made a easy work of upper 5 so you get the point
