I have the zontes 125U and i can assure you in grey and blue u wouldn’t be thinking that the 125 U1 is better looking! As well as performance based aswell🔥

Straight too the point,I had mine delivered last tuesday,£2600 only 1100 miles on the clock,from sovereign motor company derby,nice people,great service,happy me,(back too the bike),I feel you described it perfectly,after riding a keeway superlight for the past year I wanted a bit more speed and acceleration so I bouhgt the zt 125 -u1, I agree with everything you said about the bike,I am 68 yrs old and only been riding again after 43 yrs(last bike was a suzuki hustler 250 on l plates)I have still got my keeway but it doesn't get a look in now,I have 90% spondulosis and still feel ok after all day on the bikes and after getting used to the riding position on the zontes I love it,I find the only issue for me is the lack of pannier options because I do carry a fair bit of gear,(tools and everyday shopping),any ideas. Great and honest video well done boys,keep it going please,you where a great help.

How can a bike at that price have tubeless spoked wheels, Upside down forks, Full LED lighting with back lite switches? Being an old git that rides larger bikes i really like this bike. I like the colours and with that headlight unit, it looks like a Hornet from the front. One minus, That the cog shaped fuel cap looks cheap. A nice flat blended in one would look better.
The type of bike isn't my cup of tea, but it looks good. Not a fancy of the loud stickers. I agree about the angular styling at the front, but it sounds great.
Subscribed. I like the fact you are reviewing these bikes, seems to be too many vloggers with brand snobbery these days. There is some nice, well put together stuff coming from China recently.

i like the u1. saw those bikes just hit the german market. guess its a good thing beta does the import. but while you probally get all the parts from them, if you want to get cheap parts straight from china that could be an issue.if it was avaible when i bought my bike last year, i probally had still decided the same because all bikes with the m545m engine are more common. but if that doesnt matter to you, i think you get a nice bike lookwise and specwise.
I can see where Malcom is going with his G 1 fetish, I can agree with him. but looking at ZT 1 Zontes really are throwing down the gauntlet in 125 market with the looks and designs. PS I'm so happy that you've got on top of the wetness.

I love the look of all of them. I went to see the streetfighter style today, at 6ft hight the bike looks like a bit of a mini bike. Unfortunately the other 2 models are sold out so I couldn't see myself on top of them. Do you think the U1 or G1 would be more suitable for my hight or they are the same size?
@@motorsforthemasses I ended up buying the G1 but got my full license a few months later and bought a Varadero 1000. G1 is a fantastic 125, I would recommend it to anyone.
My guess about most Mirrors on most Asian bikes is that they don't have to be as wide as generally they are of a smaller stature than Europeans, Therefore they don't really need to stick out as far to cover their body width.... I actually like it , It would suit somebody that has a £10k + Bike as a Winter only bike to keep their pride & joy nicely covered up in a garage during the "Salty Season" .
Brought the Zontes ZT125 U1 as a first bike riding on a CBT whilst waiting to get my direct access (after lockdown). My purchase was based on a lot of research and sealed by this review, Orange and Grey all day long. I am looking at the ZT310-T (17") once I have a full licence due to being a shorter rider, any recommendations (Or do they exist) on ADV bikes with a seat hight up to 800mm?
Some of the expensive models such as Triumph Tiger have low seat models. Or, what about the CFMoto GT650 or GT400. More of a tourer, but only 795 mm seat height

A break in the weather this weekend allowed me to lay down 80 miles round trip and the more my confidence grows and the dryer the roads the U1 gets better and better. I love this bike and I think its a great first bike, something that everyone stops and looks at asking what it is; seeming surprised its a not KTM or another high end brand. When I started looking it really was a toss up between the U1 and G1 which my son is now looking at so I will be able to compare the 2 if he goes that route... Hopefully I can get my full access done this year and if the Mrs refreshes her CBT this will move on to her with the ZT310-T (17') on the radar also in Orange and Grey. I have little experience with different brands and models however I am pleased I went with the Zontes as I feel that I have a bike that feels solid and looks great for not a lot of money compared to other brands. The first service is Due in a month and I am genuinely expecting this bike to take a step up again, keep you posted.
Can the electronic fuel cap release and seat release be bypassed and operated manually? Be a nightmare if battery went flat and had no trickle charger cables added to battery lol
That is also the main problem they are encountering so far in greece. I have to say other than that (which is rather frustrating) there have been no major problems what so ever.
I know it's a year late, but there's a release under the rear fender where the number plate holder attaches to. It releases the pillion seat, which you can release the main seat from. When I bought the bike, he showed me, I haven't used it yet though lol. *Even though it's a year late I posted for anyone else scrolling*
I can buy the ZT125 U1, ZT125 U and G1-155. Which is better for a first time rider? I am from Peru and we can do lane splitting here. I will use it mainly on the city .

Befor i take the plunge and buy one! Has there been any faults with this bike? I have heard a few people having problems with engine warning light, and bike loosing power due to the fault. Has it been resolved? Many thanks..
First generation had a temp sensor fault in the ECU that threw a light on. Zontes swapped the ECUs for a flashed one, problem solved. Other than that I know of nothing else.
@@youraveragejoe1 had the bike nearly 3 years, easy to ride, breaks and suspension are good, engine is strong. Bought aftermarket exhaust which now sounds brilliant and tail tidy as original sticks out too far. I’ve only done around 2k on bike but has always put a big smile on my face, the only issue I’ve found is the 1st-2nd gear can be a bit clunky. I’m gonna sell mine soon as to lack of use, best bike I’ve owned so far.
@@youraveragejoe1 before I bought mine, I looked at the Yamaha mt125 and ktm duke, which is the same style of bike and ride position. It’s a fun bike and the 150 back wheel gives you a bit more confidence then a skinny tyre bike.
@@jasoncharlton oh okay nice, I’m also looking into the Suzuki GSX-S125 - some well priced used (but not too old) ones on the market, as I’m probably looked at used instead of brand new. I’ll see how I go, but I’ll keep the CB125R in mind

Yes, sadly it seems every video has 2 ads before the actual video starts these days. I think YT puts one in the middle too. I watched a 20 min video the other day that had an ad every 2 mins. I even had time to make tea on one of them!
The thunder flash zig zag pattern design, yeahh..it will not make the the bike to go any faster! Kind of redicilous in my mind, blitz zig zag yes go! go! very fast! I got almost the same front mudgard on my scooter and it have to go, those asians seems to love fallos and spearheads. One this one theyve took it to the top, the bike is dam uggly.

I'll be honest I thought that on initially seeing it...but when I saw the quality of it, I accepted it.

Sorry for late reply. I would say G1 would be more comfortable as you are quite close to the tank on the U1 so legs may be cramped.

Yes they are limited to fall in line with A1 15bhp limit. They can be detuned by zontes to make 18bhp

Depends how tall. Is it quite a tall bike. You may find your shins hit the crash bars, I am 5ft 10& half with 31 inside leg if that helps?

Depending on weight. 65 to 70 ish. A customer says he has had 76 showing but he was only 11 stone.

Yes, sadly it seems every video has 2 ads before the actual video starts these days. I think YT puts one in the middle too. I watched a 20 min video the other day that had an ad every 2 mins. I even had time to make tea on one of them!

I got almost the same front mudgard on my scooter and it have to go, those asians seems to love fallos and spearheads.
