This is cool! I'm a salmon farmer so I can't pluck out an individual specimen out of the half a million we have out in sea pens to save but I wish I could. I see the odd one a couple times a year during the daily mortality collection, they look like salmon balloons.
I think he had air bladder disease not Malawi bloat. Malawi bloat is not characterized with air in the digestive tract, but bacterial fluid and inflammation.
Came home to 3 of my big sliver dollars bloated like balloons, I've delt with mild cases before without this but the poor babies where massive and couldn't even swim. Made the decision to risk trying this and it worked! I'd personally reserve it for really bad cases where they are floating out of the water, not able to move at all or so bloated they might permanently damage their body.
I want to ask u, My two Gold Fish effected of swim bladder disease.. and unfortunately 1 of them was dead..Their is the risk this kind of treatment and it is not good to see but we have to do to save fish life...tell me is it effective treatment and where to puncher by Needle ( I can see some extended area from stomach..)
@nauman mehdi honestly, there are many different causes for swim blattwr issues, so I can't say this would be effective. Goldfish are known to have issues controlling their swim bladder, so if you just deflate it they might not be able to refill it and control it. If they got it from gulping air, it would work. For goldfish I'd continue with caution. Make sure to try other treatments before this one
I know controversial but I have tried salts and diet with my frontosa. Think it might be down to this.. my fish has given itself a head wound trying to stay under water by keeping itself under the filter or a log.
I lost one of my frontosa but when another started swimming funny I found that methylene blue cured it, almost instantly started swimming normal and using all its fins instead of just side fins . Anyone that had a fish with float knows it started out swimming like it was paddling a boat ; using mostly side fins in a stroke stroke stroke kind of way. When you see that dip it in methylene blue for 10 seconds then dip in clean water then put back in tank and it will swim normal and not get to floating stage.its been over a week and no relapse at all. Who knows about future but I feel confident that I have found a cure if treated early . I don't know if it will work for fully floating fish but it should since my fish hasn't progressed further and went back to normal. It might take several dips to cure full on float; 1 dip every 24 hours.
Is methylene blue safe to use? I have a fish that is swimming upside down, and I was thinking of using the syringe to extract air. Do you think this would work on my fish? Please I’m desperate, I don’t want to loose my goldfish.
I have found that a 10 second dip in methylene blue can fix or help fix float at least in my frontosa if noticed early, before my fish float they start to swim using mostly just their side fins and move like a stutter for lack of better word (go stop go stop go stop with not much tail movement). One 10 second dip and fish swims normal within a few minutes afterwards and float is avoided. Anyways anyone that has a fish start swimming weird should give it a 10 second dip in 1 gallon of tank water with 2 teaspoons of Kordon methylene blue then dip in some clean tank water then back into tank. This can be repeated once every 24 hours until fish problem is fixed. It can keep fish from ever starting to float . The dip also helps with fin rott, hole in head ,scrapes ,ich , fungus, white spot, and many other problems. I have tried a lot of expensive fish medications and this $5 on amazon.com methylene blue worked better ,faster, and far cheaper. Worked for my Frontosa and plecostomus . Not bloat. Wrong title. Bloat is when fish doesn't eat or keeps spitting food out, sulks in the corner and takes no interest in food. Swelling of the stomach occurs after a while and this is when death normally occurs. Normally caused by stress or wrong foods but also you can get a parasite bloat. Treatment in the uk is done by using waterlife octozin using a 6x or more times dose.

SERIOUSLY my fish has been by itself eating mainly shelled peas cut up small in a hospital 20 gallon. I put another small frontosa in there now for some company and fish moves around more now chasing after the tank mate I added for it.
I kind of thought it would be chased being weaker but not the case.
what happens when it was pregnant
With goats it's a completely different area and as long as you just hit the bulge...you can see when he hit the air....it shouldn't affect babies when used on other kinds of fish.
Cichlids hold their fry in their mouths
My fish is not able to swim uup.

Try this if not too late
did this to one of my peacocks, fixed him and is going strong a month later
Glad I can help with the videos
Did the air pocket come back ever?
Is fish still alive ?
I save my fish thank you
How? Which disease of yours fishes was infected?
Thanks, Thanks, Thanks - Problem fish fixed !!!
How long did fish live after?
Why no anesthesia they feel pain you know
ReecePocock VLOGS it didn't hurt it at all.
Methylene blue dip works with no pain . My fish will swim into the net if they are injured or problems swimming. They know some how that going into the net is the way to get to medicine ; method blue.
can this methode work for discus?
The First don't know. This is a temporary solution not a fix to the real problem
Very Fishe i try epsom salt for about 2 week ,dosage 50L/1tbs +heater set at 33°c but the belly still big ,do you have any solution?
How to fix bloating: Just cut it out 😂
Yeah, wished that I could fix my bloating that way. Just use a needle and poke the belly. So simple 😁
"So this is going to be a bit controversial" ......yeah, possibly because you didn't give the fish the proper anesthetic?
I did this and sadly my fish died it pissed me off I’m so upset
It's not a cure but a temporary fix
That is called a sub cut needle
I did that to my goldfish he died I thing I hit enternal organ....😔
Feed ur fish pees u can watch videos on RUclips on how to prepare it (it prevents bloat)
Actually peas help to push things like blockages or air out of the fish digestive system and Epsom salt is a laxative that helps too pass it all out too.
puncturing the swim bladder is NOT a good idea.
You didn't anesthitize the fish...
i dont think this is contra versial..oops..u were trying to save a fish that every fish owner struggles with this dang disease...i dont think they feel it...if anything he probably felt some release...like a mom that finally gives birth...its like yeah...its out ...or a day of bad gas...i just wish there was a cure for it...

What is waterlife octozin ? Also what is price?
I have a fish with the same symptoms , never fed her anything besides flakes pellets, and freeze dried shrimp , maybe try a live feeder fish , in trouble already , thank you .
@@edippoliti4531 live feeder fish have air in them and would cause more air to be trapped . I have heard that is one of the ways air gets into digestive tract.
@@donjrkocielko9295 , thank you for that info , she just passed away , good news, is 1- she is not suffering anymore , 2-the male is doing great , eating like a champ , 3 I've already found a new female , 4- I've learned alot from all of this , keep up the great work , thank you !
Fuck that im not do that my fish....
"I'm not hurting him". So poking a needle into his side isn't painful? Okay...
If it helped him live a few months longer without being in misery, then it seems like it was worth it.
People are going to do this method and potentially kill there fish. Should take this video down.
Idk man. Overthinking it?
It still teaches what NOT to do and offers some useful comments .
Methylene Blue cures float and bloat among other fish problems like hole in head disease ,ich ,fin rott, and many more even a bad scrape or battle wound
just force feed a pinch of some Epsom salt with metronidazole solution mixed with soaked pellets in garlic juice everyday until bloat if fixed. And also keep the worming p with kursui wormer every month. Problem fixed. Usually....
Please don't try this , it's fake 😭😭😭😭mera fish mr gaya bhai yahi chiz krne se please mth krna bhai bohat badha scam h 😭😭😭😭mera fish
