Thank you. This is definitely Americana music. Of course, I love British music too, particularly The Kinks. (The Beatles are obvious, but the Kinks really embraced English living) Oddly enough, Ray Davies eventually moved to New Orleans. Unfortunately, he got mugged and was shot. He has since left. New Orleans is a great town, but not very safe.

What's interesting about this two artists is, they're south, but not really. Sam Beam is from Miami and Calexico is from Tucson, AZ. There's no deep south here, just Folk/Americana.

Saw them in Mannheim a few days ago! It was great. Their opener was pretty good, too (Adia Victoria, check her out). Like a dork, though, I wore my "In the Reins" t-shirt from the last time I saw them together, in the same venue 14 years ago!

Andrew Bird is good. Highly recommend Jason Isbell, he is genius. Check out "St. Peter's Autograph" by him, The Brothers Comatose, Gibson Brothers, some Wilco songs, dEUS has some nice ones also.
