I can't speak for the world because I haven't been to nearly as many places as you, but Northern Spain (Pais Vasco, Asturias, Galicia, the "end of the world" in Finisterre is so underrated and beautiful with the combination of mountainous, coastal (beaches and cliffs), and a temperate rainforest ecosystem and climate. Definitely among the most beautiful places in Europe, depending on who you ask. I hope you can come here one day and try the Camino de Santiago, I think you'd really enjoy it. I did a 300 km section for a 10-day hike this summer and got some great footage. As I edit the videos from they journey I often draw inspiration from your trekking adventures. Take it easy, Gabe!
I watch most of your videos and enjoy them immensely. I am a senior citizen and they enable me to travel and see parts of the world that I could never hope to see in person. Thank you very much. Keep on travelling. I am at your side.
Amazing that you were able to see the Horsetail Fall Firefall. Took the family there in 2004 and it was the most awe inspiring place we have ever seen. Also check out Sequoia National Park for more epic moments. When we first entered the park and saw the first trees we had to pull over and take photos... then we realized down the road those were the little Sequoias 😲
Super intense documentary! The guys down below filming the climb could hardly watch him. They were sure he was going to fall. Even knowing the outcome I could hardly watch him!
I still get chills thinking about it. Imagine the mental toughness the guy must have had, not to mention the physical. One of the most incredible things I'll ever see in my life.
Yosemite is on my bucket list! We were going a few years ago incorporating a trip to Monterey bay to see the Steinbeck museum and go whale watching too but we ended up in New York as it was our last big holiday with our son before he didn't want to come with us anymore and he preferred NYC. Still had an amazing time but would still love to get out there too! One day 🤞🏻💕
I love story time with Gabriel... So happy you didn't cut the stories out of your video entirely... in fact, I request more stories, you are an amazing story teller, I could listen to them all day... don't ever change Gab, love you bro...
Enjoying your treck today and your vids for awhile. Thanks to your sharing your writing post with Medium. I had posted a few things last year thick in quarantine days. And hope post my writing in the future. Nate and Kara are great and I remember when they had issues regarding filming in Nat Parks. So glad to hear things have lifted. It is important now to virtually see where we want to go in the future when covid is a memory and more exploring days are the norm. Thanks for all your posting. Cheers, Meg
Gabriel is less than 50 years old but I see him as The Godfather of travel bloggers. I don’t care what equipment he uses but he always shows the best scenery as he could. He shares his previous experience with the viewers, too.
Been to Yosemite a few times now. My longest trip there was for nearly 2 weeks. I cant imagine going there for 8 hrs like you did. Awesome energy for you. I still cant wait for covid to end to walk in your footsteps down in Machu Picchu.
This is excellent. Watching your videos always give us piece and like the way you present it. Gives us the feeling of vast wildness and how small we are inside. Not overwhelming drone shots or making it dramatic. Viewing this is no exception.
Hell yeah!! That intro song is back & absolutely perfect for this video! I love Yosemite! Went for my first time back in August & fell in love. 2nd time was in November & the snow made it magical. Going for 3rd time in April & cannot wait!
We stayed in the same place, Yosemite Bug, last summer and took YARTS into the park too. I highly recommend it to anyone who is planning on going but is unable to get a day pass. The resort has cabins for families/couples as well that are very comfortable. Gabe - my husband and I got hooked watching your channel a couple of years back with your Nepal series. As he is from Kathmandu, we really enjoyed both the city and the trekking vids. I’m from San Francisco so I love seeing the CA content too! Thanks to your recent Alaskan adventures, Juneau is definitely on our bucket list now. Cheers and keep on keeping us on our toes!
Absolutely beautiful camera work and place. Thank you for this incredible escape from reality, which is quite boring at the moment. I will watch this a few times.
Right when I was thinking about the Kara and Nate situation you brought it up. Glad the parks made the change! Love seeing you trekking around Nor Cal!!!
i live in phoenix az and have always wanted to go to yosemite but never have been able to. so thank you for this great video! i enjoy all your videos. safe travels...
I've been afraid of being caught in lines at Yosemite but you really picked a great time to go. And, those fiery waterfall shots you got were really the best. I've always wanted to see that. Thx
Thanks Gabriel, one of your best videos so far for this year ;-) . Brings back a lot of memories Also thanks for the info on lodging and transportation
Really beautiful indeed 😍What a lovely hike! It was really shitty what happened to Kara & Nate and I'm glad its sorted out 👌 ...Rude awaken in the usa 🇺🇸 but now at least you can share with all your audience without any worry. I'm glad😊 SabrinaFromLondon 🇬🇧
Hey Gabe, Don't know if you knew how rare a sight you filmed as you were leaving on the bus at sunset. Horse's Tail "firefall" can only be seen 2-3 days a year and only when there are no clouds. You captured it perfectly!! Cheers from Sonoma County.
Great video! Glad you used Yarts. I love taking it and have gone several times to go hiking.in Yosemite. I went on 2/20/2021 to see Firefall. I hope you get to go back and climb Half Dome.
Been to Yosemite 3x myself. Without doubt one of my favorite places in the world. I usually do the Nevada Falls hike toward the direction of Half Dome. You can swim in the pond below the falls. It's ice cold water even in summer but still feels so refreshing when it's hot with the mist blowing. Only issue is the crowds in summer make it feel more like Disneyland than a retreat into nature. And the entrance fee into the park is becoming obscene.
The parks are the best in the world in usa that ive seen as far as camping , hiking, trail marking, varied climates and landscapes and acessability . Thats what i miss the most :-(
amazing the deer was so happy to see a human friend :D !! In the UK this cannot happen! they run away and you can't ever get too close! I love their big eyes!
Went to Yosemite as a child and I am 59, I would have to say Olympic National Park or Banff area are some of my favorites. Living in the PNW we are surrounded by beauty, hard to choose. Been to the Lake District in England that had a charming beauty to it.
Thank you for the video, remind me of the time I was there in October 2016. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling well so I didn't do much hiking and there wasn't much water going over Yosemite Falls so I didn't go see it. Oh and I saw deer near the Visitors Centre. Would love to go there to Yosemite National park again one day.
Just got that bus..wheew! Be safe my friend! I did a little winter hiking in some winter Oregon backwoods and it's sketchy. Sometimes getting in is ok, but getting back can be worse and if you get tired ,more dangerous with bad terrain. I have never been to Yosemite, looks beautiful thanks for the vid, one day ;) Oh sleeping bears..uhh huh!
I had to stop watching this video to watch the film The Dawn Wall by Tommy and Kevin on Netflix. True story. Just amazing. Well done Gabriel for this piece of history.
I was there for one day on a coach trip in September 1999. I remember cycling around the valley. Yes it's a fantastic place. Would love to visit it again. Lucky you, doing your own thing.
Anytime I see or hear the word 'yosemite' I instantly think of Alex honnold. If you've never seen the docufilm free solo you should watch it it's amazing... Good stuff Gabe 👍🙏
Now that's one beautiful place to visit! Also your bed looks bigger than Bald and Bankrupt's tiny little bed at the worst hotel! haha....Great video Gabe!
Omg I can’t believe I didn’t make the trip to Yosemite back when I was in the States for summer school. 🥲 looking forward to when international travel is possible again. Till then, I’ll be exploring my own backyard and practice vlogging 👍
I knew, Gabriel, that you would find Yosemite in the winter (early spring) to be wonderful. If the trail up the backside of Half Dome is open it is a wonderful hike, but be very careful when you reach the top. Because of the extreme vastness of that view it is the only place experienced acrophobia, and had to leave immediately.
Fantastic video and place! Some future inspo: For Europe: The Ionian islands of Greece (next summer), the Italian lakes and Dolomites (most unbelievable scenery), hiking in Corsica (canyons, rivers, beaches) and northern Spain (search: Picos de Europa). AND THEN COME TO AUSTRALIA 😎
Gabriel, I've been following you for so long (since 2015) and had watched majority of all of your videos that I remember you mentioning about your "coincidental" camping trip before in another video
Where do you think is the most beautiful place in the world? I'd love to hear some more suggestions for epic places to visit.
Glacier National Park
Yeah it's gorgeous as well.
Banff and Jasper national Park
Faroe Islands 🇫🇴 is supposed to be very beautiful. Similar to Iceland 🇮🇸 and equally as expensive or more 😮
I can't speak for the world because I haven't been to nearly as many places as you, but Northern Spain (Pais Vasco, Asturias, Galicia, the "end of the world" in Finisterre is so underrated and beautiful with the combination of mountainous, coastal (beaches and cliffs), and a temperate rainforest ecosystem and climate. that guy is a freak
Wonderful scenery especially the sunset on the falls and cliff faces towards the end. Thank you.

No half dome hike? Yosemite is definitely one of the most epic places on earth. Enjoy dude!
