Amazing video, glad I found your channel! I love the soundscapes you explore here. This little mixer just rocketed to the top of my 'want' list, this little bestie is a beastie!
I learned a lot with your video to tame my own fresh bought Bestie. I'm still asking me questions about which cables I have to buy to maximize the possibilities. I'm a sort of noob when come the questions which cables to buy 🤣
It's what I will do for sure@@Stazma My problem is still to connect more than 2 mono sources (3 or 4 max). In fact I need only one stereo input for my actuel setup.
Yeah, it can handle it and won’t damage it. ☺️ Just the volume (=gain) pot needs to be set lower than when using a line-level input if you want a clean-not overdriven-input. On Bastl’s RUclips channel there is actually an older video called “LUNCH BREAK - Top Secret Banger”, where Bestie is used directly with eurorack modules (one as stereo, second as mono).
Very cool. When you say the feedback can act as a type of glue or compression...in your opinion is it enough for a live rig without any other type of front of house mixing? And do you know if the channel distortion is the same as on the Dude or different?
Going to be a Merry Christmas this year!
Came back to say that I still use the heck out of this mixer in live situations, and I love the overdrive feedback possibilities as well.
Lovely little box indeed!
I'm glad i have my studio monitors hooked up to this, the panning action is great.
Staying til end. Bravo.

This video got me to preorder. Excellent demo and great little mixer.
Nice one !
je vais l'acheter!
Thanks for the demo, Stazma.
Great sounds! ❤️🔥
Well done… instant subscribe… great channel can’t wait too see where you go
Doooope video and explanations as always 🔥🔥🔥
Merci pote ;-)
This sounds like a mixer Petr Válek would make.
Haha yes indeed! It does look to normal tho ;-)
All the cool kids are hanging out with their bestie :)
Nice video! Looks like fun :)
It is indeed !
So if you can’t afford a Murf, what do you buy?
Amazing demo too!!
Hard question, I don’t think there is any pedal format fixed filter bank other than this one :-(
There’s plenty of options in eurorack tho.
So rad!

It depends on wich things you connect to the Beastie. One advice, buy more cables than you think you need, you’ll need them at some point hahaha.

@@noiseentropy easy trick is to use stereo pedals if you any, so they make your mono signal stereo even if you don’t use them.
hey there too. can it handle signal straight from eurorack moduls like for example mackie mixers can? what do you think?
I havn't tried yet as I was too busy making horrible noises with it hahaha. But I will and report back ;-)
@@Stazma i hope, you will not harm it though. but ye...im curious. i want to purchase one in any case.

Does the Bestie make any noise or hum when there's no distortion?
A very gentle noise in the background but I haven’t really checked with different USB cables or with battery.

Hey there! No idea how similar it is to Dude circuit but yes I think it can do a nice little mixer for a small hardware based setup.
only wish they added a cv for the feedback
So dope
Thanks!
That feedback loop is sexy
Just the right amount of horrible screaming noises, thank you 😁
👍
Hello Everyone
