Must be the cold and flu season. I'll bet the smell inside this car is wonderful. I remember in the 60's my Dad bought a 48 Dodge or Plymouth convertible as a second car for my Mom. I use to love sitting in it and smell that old car smell. Good luck in fixing her up. It will be worth it!
In 1973 my college friend got married and drove his '48 Dodge in the wedding. I drove my '52 Plymouth. We are friends and car nuts to this day. The '48 Dodge was a beautiful car; I loved the egg-crate grille.
I never could understand why they call those doors suicide doors. If a person opens up any door in traffic,no matter which way it swings, the outcome probably won't be good.Well anyway that's a nice car.Im a collector as well.Ive always wanted a Chrysler product from the 40s.Ive never been able to find a good one like that one.If I do find one,it would be important to me that the clock and radio worked. That would be the first thing I'd fiix. Its also amazing how much room is those cars. Its also nice that people take the time to preserve these old cars and put them on RUclips so we can all see them.Thank you!
brings back old memories, especially that little switch on top of the dash, i think it was for the windshield wipers. My dad had a 48 dodge sedan from 1954-1961.
bob medford it's a wonderful car, very confortable, dependable and easy to drive ! the dodge and other mopar of this era are my favorits cars, driving this kind of cars in the late 50's, early 60's was probably and completly old fashion but except for the power brakes and power steering, this old car have nothing to envy to the late 50's cars.
Correct about wipers switch. Of all things, I still have the hammer which was part of the tool kit! It was my mother's car imported into South Africa, with right hand drive for our road system. It had leather upholstery not cloth.
Hi yes the dodge is already sold but i have a 1942 chrysler windsor sedan for sale if you want in good running condition all original very good shape for her age with vacamatic transmission
Adrien Rébillout I have a 1948 like that one that needs some work and I was hoping to get another one that I could have for a parts car or vice versa. Email me the price and some pictures if you have any of the other car if you will. It's smithmarshallml1@gmail.com I may be able to get it. Thank you.
I'm sorry man, but you can't make a video with your RUNNING NOSE ans aspiring your nose fluids and recording those noises. That's crap. You should be more respectful

What a beautiful car ! Just like my grandfather's, he was a taxi driver in Rio de Janeiro by the early 60's.
Such cars were built to last a lifetime.

I you don’t like the videos cause of stupide things like this. just go to another one and shut up, this is useless.
Your behaviour is proportional to your education and running nose
Sounds like a sold door close.
