I've owed you my skincare routine for what feels like forever. I've been dealing with hormonal acne for over a year now, unfortunately since I changed my birth control (super sucks I know).
Since then I feel like tried everything, but at least now things are really starting to improve, and hey I've learnt a heck of a lot on the way. I have combination skin and this routine is aimed at dealing within acne scarring and discolouration (PIE) rather than prevention, which I'm addressing with my diet - EA x
ps. ignore the sound and the colour grade it's total poo

As someone who has struggled really badly with acne since I was 13 (c. 2009 - wow I'm old), I've recently taken an interest in skincare and I have also found that my diet really impacts my skin too, so for me minimising sugar and dairy has really helped!

not quite sure how it is in the uk, but going to a dermatologist and getting a prescription for tretinoin has been long term cheaper than buying otc stuff and so much more beneficial than commercial stuff, def recommend that over more expensive stuff that can't use quite the good stuff

The tinted la roche provides almost no coverage just fyi! I bought the it cosmetics tinted cc cream instead and it has high spf. Hormonal acne is a b but it gets better esp with diet changes. Best of luck and also you’re gorg! :))

I have over 30 strands of white hair and I am 23. 😂 Skincare has been such a revelation for me. I thought it would be a waste of time but it feels so soothing.

Dear Emma, what is your take on leather bound books? You like them, hate them? What is your take? Please make a video on this. Thank you.

As a skin specialist I must say that the routine is pretty good. When it comes to ingredients look out for glycerine and vaseline. It is are ground fats and makes the product ''safer'', but it mostly makes it cheaper. When it is the fourth or fifth ingredient on the list it's fine, but when it is the first or second ingredient, don''t buy it. You can not cleanse it of good because it's so fat, so it will only give you more acne. (sorry for bad grammar)

You said that you were allergic to fragrances. Look out for non-fabric in gredients like ''bergamot'' and ''citrus''. They are both pretty aggresive and there is a correlation between parfume and those ingredients and the effects on skin. Especially when you have hypo- or hyper pigmentation they are pretty dangerous.

Make sure you're getting enough vitamin B-12 as a deficiency is one of the most common causes of premature grey hairs.

Constant washing, obsessive, compulsive washing with hand soap controlled my acne. I stopped buying all this stuff and I've seen you like eating chocolates ( mega no no) and if you cook with butter or mayonnaise it doesn't help. Oily skin is your worst enemy so try as much as possible to keep it dry.

Constantly washing your skin will just disrupt your skin barrier and leave you with dehidrated skin. Also chocolate causing acne is a myth. There's absolutely no evidence that sugests it.

@@lavacaqueri5454 Chocolate in pure form no, fatty milk chocolate or variants that involve saturated fats tend to be very bad for acne. Dehydrated skin is a price to pay in order to keep the oils that block your pores in the first place. Infections etc.
