We always forget until we have got to our destination lol. I will try and remember when we go places for you. Have a very merry and happy Christmas. Thank you for watching and commenting 😁
I lived in Belfast Northern Ireland from 1999 till 2001. I met my husband there and Irishman, married him and brought him home to Oklahoma almost 24 years ago. I love Ireland but I missed home and my boys, too much. I've been over to Europe when I was married before about six times and absolutely love the UK I wish I would have ventured out to France and Italy. Much love from Oklahoma USA Jackie 🇺🇸 💖
When I grew up there was no washer, no dryer; well, there was a wringer washer. Anyway, all my adult life I have loved my washer and dryer. I'm sure you are thrilled to get yours going!!! I would be over the moon if I were you. Nice drive; thanks for taking me along, albeit on the wrong side of the road (smile).
Oh yes I remember my mum boiling washing on the cooker in a big pot with wooden tongs, I think that was nappies! And there was a twin tub…and little spin dryer I remember vaguely 🤔 yes I must admit that was a very nice appliance to have back! We could try the other side of the road…but I’m not sure it would go down well with the police!
It really is a stunning part of the world, we absolutely love it, can’t imagine ever tiring of it! I have Irish ancestors on my mums side…long time ago but they came from Waterford.
This is Gerry and Michelle here. Your friends from Colorado. We stop and chat to you when we are in Leitrim. We have a house nearby. The lake you mentioned was Castlefore lake. Just to let you know how much we enjoy your stuff.
Hi Gerald. Castlefore lake is beautiful, we love passing it in the car, maybe one day I will stop and do some fishing there. See you when you next come over and you are walking past :-) All the best.
Plenty of comments about the rain but give me the rain any day of the week over the dangerous shorching heat that people are suffering right now in Europe,we are blessed at the moment with all the rain keeping the gardens nice and green,i actually bought some sprinklers off Amazon a few weeks back as the grass in the garden was turning brown but now i dont need to😊we are due some hot weather which will probably come 2nd week in August 😮 and then we will say its too hot
Oh yes most definitely! I lost count of the times I reseeded our lawn back in England for the heat to arrive and a hosepipe ban to come in and stop the watering of it! From about April the lawn would start to turn brown. I’m quite liking the rain, especially when you can see how green everything is because of it! Sounds great at night in the tent too!
@@thecornerhouseproject Not necessary, but if I ever visit Ireland (where my father's ancestors are from) I'll hire you to drive me around. Would not be wise for me to be turned loose on the roads over there.
Haha…you’re more than welcome to be chauffeured! Such a beautiful country to drive around and the traffic level is pretty acceptable after living in England and the increase in traffic there!
You live in lovely wee town, I am so jealous of your rural property, I live in New Zealand and I noticed you drive same side of road as us, really enjoying your videos, I started watching from the beginning
Hi Sharon, thank you for being brave and going back to watch some poor sound and video quality early videos, it does improve though. Yes, drive on the left in Ireland which made it easy to drive over here having the same layout we are used to. As you can see in this video it was raining.... we don't think it has stopped yet haha. Thank you so much again :-) Have I said thank you for subscribing yet? If not.... THANK YOU very very much :-)
Oh yes--so lovely to see the surroundings--please show more. Am thoroughly enjoying watching someone else work LOL and what a lot of work! Looking forward to following your progress. Greetings from sunny British Columbia.
Oh what beautiful countryside it reminds me of England when I was young. Did you resist telling them what was wrong with their computer at the licence centre Ben?
Isn’t it beautiful. Lots of beautiful countryside in England too….they just keep building on it all! 🙄🤯 He was very good in not saying anything about the computer…I’m sure he was itching to though!
We were a few video uploads behind so I sat and edited each day so we could catch up. We have yesterday's one to edit and put up, but today is a big day pulling up floor boards so not sure we will get it done. Oh we love the washer and dryer, and like you say, a bodged bit of plumbing isn't an issue, even if the cold feed does come in through the window 😉
Yeah it is here Pa…rained all day long! Yeah, it was a little strange to be honest, especially as it’s something that you are desperate to get when you are a teenager and then you have to hand it over! 😳 xx
Yeah always seems to go that way doesn’t it! The kids break up in June over here, which is probably when England should do it because the weather always seems to turn when the kids pack up in July!
Now we just need a pot o gold to slide down a rainbow into your yard. Hard to spot a Leprechaun in all that greenery, gotta be quick or he'll be off with it before ye see it lol
I thought it rained a lot when i lived in the Pacific NW of the US, but it seems to rain more often where you live. We got used to the rain & i didnt mind running & doing things in it. The farmers know what theyre doing cutting the fields when they can.
Yeah they make a mad dash for it when the weather is good. I don’t mind a bit of rain, which I suppose is good really. The farmer said the other day that this is the worst summer they’ve had in a couple of years.
We’re about 20 mins from Carrick and about the same from Drumkeeran. We’re not far really from anywhere with shops. We’ve got used to it now and it’s not too far for us if we need anything. It means we’ve gotten a bit more organised than we were in the beginning though so we don’t have to keep going out to get stuff! 😂
Please do show us your outings away from the house. I find the scenery and the towns, culture, etc very interesting.
We always forget until we have got to our destination lol. I will try and remember when we go places for you.
Have a very merry and happy Christmas. Thank you for watching and commenting 😁
Dawn and Ben your surroundings are just lovely!
Your home is coming along, slowly but coming along just the same!
Yes, more videos are welcome!
It is a beautiful place to be living. It's a joy every day to see it all! 😊 lots of work to do...so there will be lots more videos 😆
Thanks Dawnie and Ben for taking us along.-so to speak.we enjoyed seeing the Irish countryside.Take care. Love Aunty Chrissie and uncle Dave xxx
You are both very welcome and feel free to come next time 😉

Loved seeing the country. I have always felt drawn to Ireland. My Irish ancestors lived in Tyrone.

Beautiful 😍 Thank You for sharing

"Hot weather" is called SUMMER!
Well it was what it was , a work free day and a chance to see the sights.
Thank you for the tour; very lovely despite the rain. Disorienting to experience the perspective from the left side of the road :)
Lol, Ben said he can flip it for you if it makes you feel more comfortable 😉

In the US we call it DMV. Drivers bureau
Nice to get away.
Thanks for watching and commenting Ronald :-)
Only two seasons in Ireland....winter and June
Haha yes, we’re finding that out….and when we moved over June was nearly over! 🫣🤯
Lovely spin in the car Dawn and Ben in lovely leitrim
It’s a beautiful place to be. Nearly a year later and we are still in awe of the beauty all around us! 🍀❤️

It really is a beautiful place to live. We will make sure to fit it a little more of it in. Get the drone up some more too!

The town looks lovely, despite the rain.
It really is. We haven't had a proper chance to wander all along the high street yet, but hopefully soon.
Doing well to get your vids out. Wowzer! Washer and dryer so soon, who cares if it’s a bodged job, bring it on.😀

The weather here is terrible today, 22/7/23, that;s another milestone giving up your uk licence, bet that felt a bit strange. xx

@@thecornerhouseproject The start of the holidays, typical weather. Dawn. Xx

How far are you from Carrick on Shannon? I am looking at a place further up near Drumkeeran but it does look remote and miles from any shopping areas.
