- Join me as I head to Parque de Atracciones de Madrid in the final vlog from my August 2021 trip to Spain! Shawn: Tarantula probably has got the most unique layout out of all of the ones (Mauhrer spinning coasters) that i've done.

Most of the layout on Winja is basic just the end is unique in my opinion!
@@tomkolos1896 I'd say they both have pretty unique layouts with the elevator lifts, the two different topple/tilt tracks and the little drop tracks at the end. Then also considering the "dualing" aspect and the fact that they are both indoors i'd say they are really unique rides!

All that water splashed up by the shoot-the-chutes boat, ricocheted back INTO the boat by the pedestrian bridge 😄

Love a wild mouse. My first coaster wasn't particularly mild though? My Dad took me on the Wild Mouse at Weymouth in '67 when I was eight, wasn't the only one that year, as for my ninth birthday he took me on the coaster and water chute at Battersea. Shame they're both gone.

Love this video, I went to this park with my mates back in june 05, and id forgotten almost everything about it, so it was nice to remember some of the things I did and see the new stuff added. I've said it before, you are living a life I started to live myself, and life got in the way for me and I had to give it up in 2005. Don't stop mate, you are making a lot of people happy on here. I actually feel like I've been to some of these parks that id love to go to, but I can no longer even dream of it, such is the style you have, it makes you feel we are there with you, and when I started CF back in 2001 and then my CFTV videos with Carl and Matt - I wanted to do something like this, to make people feel they were there too, that was my dream, youtube wasnt around then (and before that i remember the only way I was able to see footage of US coasters was to mail a rather feisty Robb Alvey a fistfull of dollars for an NTSC VHS like some sort of coaster porn ring! Still I'll always love Video Kill the Radio Star from the video of Apollo's Chariot I got from him in 2001), and the tech was awful back then, took people a day and a half to download a low res video.... I'm so glad people have this channel now that the technology supports it! Anyone can do POV and off-ride, its the personality you can't fake - I think you and Charlotte are the only people in 20 plus years of internet-based coaster interest, that make me feel like I'm there with you - and I've met and seen so many less than friendly/accommodating people in this business !! Really some TV show should hire you, seriously I watch a lot of youtube presenters and you are among the best in front of the camera. (no bad habits as Simon Cowell may say!) - Dan

Hi shawn I have to say I have loved this trip . Fantastic parks great fun a bit of everything really enjoyed it. That 1st coaster you went on the lift Hill would freak me out going so slowly upside down. Thankyou so much for sharing this wonderful trip with us I've loved every minute of it. I feel the deal for Abismo is similar to Dragstar, they threw in a second ride to open first (Tarantula and Wicked Twister) because the more stand out addition required more tech put in to it (could say the same with Xcelarator and Dragstar since Cedar Fair owned Knott's at the time. Who knows?)
Love the Tournado ride looks awesome. What a pity Charlotte wasn’t with you on the water rides especially those rapids. It was so funny at Energylandia. Anyway really enjoyed watching your Spanish vlogs and just a shame it’s come to an end. Safe journey 👍👍👍

Absolutely a beautiful park! The Palm trees and Pine trees, all the pretty landscaping, make it, as you said, a country park. The "Dry Hotdog" makes me laugh every time!!!!! 🥰🥰

Ive just been here. Really enjoyed plus got on everything really quickly. Ive found out madrid is usually really quite in august due to the weather making most tourist and locals go to barcelona and the coast more.

That wildmouse used to be the other half of the speedy Bob in Bobbejaanland (the remaining half is mirrored) parque reunidos moved it to this park when they took over. The track, trains, etc still look exactly the same and haven't even been painted after the move

Vertigo was first in Bobbejaanland. They had two Wild Mouse coasters side by side. Now Speedy Bob is still there. But again a good video .

Shawn, there's not 2 Intamin Suspendeds anymore. You forgot Dueling Dragons in China! So now there's three! (One dragon is a regular sitdown)
I mean there are a good amount of Intamin inverted coasters (all of the impulse coasters, their Interted family coasters plus Euro Coaster in Russia) but what he meant was the model "Suspended Looping Coaster" that Intamin only made two of.
There’s only the two of this exact model (Intamin SLC) The others are a different design!

Nice vlog! I like less known parks to get exposed. You should do a euro trip of the less known parks as they seem to have a charm and more unique rides :)
I would love to see Charlotte on that Los Fiordos water ride...Watching her getting soaked is so much fun...It is her reaction after that cracks me up...I have never seen such a soaker has that ride before...Looks like you need putting through a wringer after coming of it.

Top spin brings back memories of Ripsaw from Alton Towers I believe, that ride used to terrify me as a child haha. Sad that it had to leave though, I thought it was a great addition to the park.

You should travel with fit-dry type clothes. They're my park go-to's when I'm in Florida, as they keep you more comfy in the heat, and dry quickly. Quick to wash and dry too, if you're not taking much! 🏴

Definitely recommend going to Särkänniemi in Finland to experience Tornado there and many other coasters! :) As a kid i loved going there every single summer.

I visited this park in 2012 and loved it. Abismo scared the bejesus out of me. 😂 I’m a little sad to see their two dark rides are gone. They used to have a shooting dark ride beneath Tarantula where you would shoot at spiders, and a rip-off It’s a Small World. Love quirky rides like that. The shooting ride was just awful 😂

For next time: there is a cable car going into the Casa de Campo. (Starting near Templo de Debod.) The station in Casa de Campo is near the Themepark.

Beautiful park. I wish Drayton Manor bring back the Jungle Cruise, really went with the zoo! Went on a Huss Condor in Funderland Belfast, King's Hall years ago, the views over the city at night were awesome!

Vertigo is one of the 2 "speedy bob" wild mouse coasters from Bobbejaanland Belgium! It got replaced from Bobbejaanland to sister parc "Parque de attraciones" ... i've done this coaster in both parcs, so no extra credit here for me! 😏

I think someone else has mentioned this in the comments but Madrid is usually empty in the summer so that's probably the reason the park wasn't busy at all.

Great series Shawn, thanks! This park has a very industrial look for a mature area. Noticed a lot of primer orange and silver/grey, was this done by design? Also, the Intamin soaker was priceless and where is Charlotte when you need her? LOL!

Having spent a year at Uni in Madrid I can confirm that people from the area aren't into theme parks like they in and around Barcelona in Cataluna. Such a shame as both parks that serve the city are of good quality.
