Kent is my by far the most
favorite fingerstyle guitarist.
Fyi- Chet Atkins was the originator of fingerstyle playing. Back in the 1950s. He was grouped in with country. Different era of music then, but you would notice his skillset. Kent is an advanced scholar of this style and the feature focus on the guitar up close. Check him out
More Kent Nishimura. Especially Chicago's "25 or 6 to 4"
I like his style because of how he balances all different aspects of the band instruments - percussion, bass, melody, etc. I am most impressed by his cover of Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, including all of the iconic guitar solos. Careless Whisper is also impressive.
Comfortably Numb is my favorite Kent cover too. I can listen to the solo over and over again.

Yes I believe too. There is also alexndr misko's version but still. Kent has done the justice. but Alexndr in my opinion is more like to technical skills.

Misko is just showman while Kent is an artist playing guitar with soul. Most of fingerstyele play songs souless including Misko, this is the main difference between Kent and others.

Kent tunes each individual string based on the song he is playing based on his fingerstyle and the ability to keep all the sounds for a given song (melody, rithym, and chorus) within reach of all the fingers on a single hand. Unless you know his exact tuning , it would be hard to follow along on a standard tuned guitar. Fortunately, he tells his tuning in the description of each of his many videos. P.S. ... he's only 17 years old... :P
