I don't care what anyone says. Ray lifting the Cup with the Aves is one of the greatest moments in NHL history.

I friggen cried when Joe handed him the Cup to hoist. Ray, you DESERVED a Cup Run, I'm just glad it was to our team.

As a lifelong Bruins fan, it was so very sad to see Ray depart. Though I worked right across the way from City Hall and did go over to see him when he brought the Cup to town for a day. Great person and he earned that opportunity to play for a contender and win it all. Certainly Pierre built an amazing team, Sakic, Hejduk, Forsberg, Foote, Roy, Ray what a team. Took every last one of them to beat NJ.

Ray deserved this trade. As a lifelong Bruins fan, he had done everything and more for the Bruins franchise…he deserved this last shot at the Cup as the Bs floundered. Was so happy to see him get it, although a year later.

As a Hockey fan since the late 70's in Colorado, it was most definitely a special time to see Ray come to the Avalanche. And seeing him hoist the cup was the BEST, for arguably the best D'man in the league for many years on a Boston team that wasn't going anywhere.

I thought he was going to Detroit for sure. Then come to find out-not only do they not get him-but we do!

He had a great long career. Hard to believe that exactly as much time has passed since his retirement as he enjoyed being an active NHL player making a legendary career.

im glad he didn't waste his time coming to philly. there would've been no cup to be had, except for the broken one from kicking himself in the balls for coming here. ironically tho he's starting to look like Eric Lindros in his older age. or maybe lindros is starting to look like him.
