The major microbiologists that I have seen on my exams were Alexander Fleming=Penicillin, Robert Koch=discovered that bacteria cause diseases, Robert Hooke=discover cells, Louis Pasteur=know for vaccination/microbial fermentation/pasteurization, Edward Jenner=known for immunity/vaccination, and Joseph Lister=antiseptic surgery
I think the scholar mentioned at 4:50 might be Joseph Lister, not Listen. Still many thanks to the wonderfully illustrated pictures in the video. A great lecture!
