I used to own a grand Lange 1 and sold it. My favorite watch I’ve ever owned but unfortunately it’s a dress watch and doesn’t look at home with casual outfits. No matter how hard I tried. Wish it had more versatility but it just doesn’t.
1. It’s a dress watch. Period. 2. A good “everyday watch” should have at least 100m of water resistance, lumed hands and indices, steel bracelet or rubber/sailcloth strap.
you're describing more a sport watch than an every day watch imo. IMO dress watches elevate more outfits than sport watches and are better every day watches.
@@vilimkrajinovic8804 an everyday watch should be versatile enough to be worn for most occasions, environments, and climate conditions. Most dress watches only have 30mm water resistance and alligator/calf strap, which limit their uses.

@@seaweed719 Different stroke for different folks. People who are working from office might see dress watch as "every day watch". That would be stupid for construction worker or car mechanics. My watches (all dress) are my every day watch. I work in front of my computer. For swimming, strength training, sleeping, etc-I wear Apple Watch.
Aqua terra, 38.5mm, quartz white face on steel, 150m water resistant. It dresses up and down, stops me from wearing dive and dress watches, or automatics. Get the one with steel markers (pre-owned), not plain lume stickers...they had to dumb it down because it was too good vs the automatic.
That’s a fair point. Well the reality is I take a long time before purchasing a piece because I want to make sure I really love it and will wear it a lot. with the Lange 1 I do look at it occasionally and consider it however there are other watches on my scope currently. Maybe in the future some day.

Can’t do a manual wind for an everyday
With 72h of power reserve you're good to go. I'd have no hesitation of wearing the Lange 1 on an everyday basis.

If you love it so much why don’t you buy it. It’s only money and it’s getting worth less every year.
