Flew to florida with Virgin Upper Class 2 weeks ago from Heathrow. Staff were absolutely brilliant, very attentive, polite & friendly. Drinks offering & choice was good with better quality choices & staff come around very regularly/most of the flight asking if you needed a drink/top up. The food was really nice going out & very filling. Ice cream was nice too about 2 hours after main meal. About 2 hrs before landing we were offered a selection of sandwiches & a cream tea of 2 types of warm scones, 2 small pots of different jam & clotted cream. I was still full after meal so declined but my husband & daughter accepted & said it was lovely. Flying back from Florida, again Upper Class, good but not as good as flight out. Staff were lovely again but not as attentive or efficient & very slow at giving food out. Also food is not as nice flying from stateside as it is from the Uk. As its a night flight, they also give a card with breakfast choices so you fill them in with your choices for the morning & served about 2 hours before landing. I had fruit juice, cornflakes & cooked breakfast but sadly only had 2 mouthfuls of cooked breakfast as it was shockingly bad😢. My husband had the bacon roll with tomato sauce & said it was absolutely lovely, so maybe i just made a bad choice. We were asked if we wanted a sleep suit but i declined & was told to just let them know if i changed my mind. I didn't use my bed facility with the quilt, but my husband & daughter did & said it was really comfortable. All in all i have to say it was a great experience & i have nothing but praise for all Virgin flight attendants, as in my eyes, they are the best around, nothing is too much trouble for them. You would go a long way to beat them. Can't wait to do it all again when we go in 2 years' time as Virgin is the only way to fly to Florida, no matter what class you are in.
Food is always awful on flights originating in the US. Crew are quite tired on returning flights because crew rest between flights is kept to a minimum. Most 2 night breaks have been reduced to one night.
Great video, I simply LOVE Virgin! Just curious, why did you think you would get pajamas and breakfast on a westbound flight from London to LAX? Those options are not offered on daytime flights, only night flights. If you take the eastbound overnight flight and you will get all of that in Upper Class. The pajamas are quite nice as well.
Thanks for watching I thought that over 10 hrs there’s pajamas. Even Qatar airlines give pajamas 7 hr flight but it was night though. I am collecting pajamas from airlines.
Instead of the small plates prior to landing, they should have at least served a British style afternoon tea service with sandwiches, cakes, scones w/ clotted cream/jam etc.
We were offered a choice of either small plates or afternoon tea 2 weeks ago flying to Florida. I was still full from the main meal so declined but both my husband & daughter had the afternoon tea & said it was delicious.
In my opinion the food, served during this flight by Virgin Atlantic, seems quite poor; the lentil soup is simple vegetarian food and the chicken wings seemed more burnt than roasted.....mahhh

@andrewvautier6714 generally speaking yes even Singapore air originating from LAX is not good but really good coming from Singapore.

Thanks for watching. Yeah food was not great during our trip as well.
Pink light sophisticated??? It’s absolutely naff !!!
So you totally ignored the safety video to examine the amenity kit! Not a clever thing to admit.
