Use mine on an F5 x Swimbait Universe 8' stick rated 2 to 7 ounces and it's been flawless, thrown baits up to 11 ounces on it with other sticks, stuck a few 8+ pound largies all around great big swimbait reel
looking at getting this reel, trying to do some inshore fishing for stripes and blues in the bay on the yak, also wouldnt mind using it for musky in fresh water. what rod would you recommend for something like that.
Thanks for the comment. For the price, this reel is not worth it. I returned it when I took it a part with cracks hairline inside the plastic part that held the screws. I’d recommend buying something like 13fishing A3 or Daiwa lexa 300 instead. They are super smooth reels and strong enough drags to pull blues and stripers. They cast well if you are comfortable with baitcast reels. As for rod, Aliexpress sells really good jigging rods that I recommend called Pure Lure for $50-100 or if you want some higher end name brands, check out JDMtackleheaven or other JDM sites. For affordable name brands, I recommend abu Garcia salty stage kr-x Jigging rods
Abu round and low profile are the only bait-cast reels I’ll own now. With the exception of two Daiwa cc Lexa HD 400’s but when they break AGAIN it will be a couple more beast reels. I have 2 T2 Toro S models and Two Beast models. The 41 and this 61. I use mine for catfish and Stripers. You just can’t beat the Durability of the Abu reels. I used round C-4 reels for decades on salmon and catfish. I never thought these reels could be bettered ! Ps I also have a couple Nacl 61’s which are my faves but only because of the bait clickers. Please Abu ! Bring back the bait clicker !!!!!!
I’m 61 and have been brand loyal my whole life. That said. New owners of these companies don’t care about a quality product any longer. They only care about cash influx. Freaking shame !

You have to check out the 13 fishing A3. It’s super smooth and it has baitbclicker

Did this reel come with the power handles
Yep, it came with a power handle. I returned it though because some parts of the plastic was cracked and falling aprt
