So cool! I stress my plants out constantly. I've learned I have to to keep them small because I'm disabled. They're much easier to tend to. Maybe they don't get as big but so what.
All about the quality imo. Yield is nice, you need enough to make it worth the wait but quality has always been my main focus. If you focus on the quality yield will usually follow.
I’m in Grow Strong Industries first Grow Strong cup grow off!!! I’ve been gardening for a long time & I’m telling there new series of lights are amazing!!! I’m using a lot of there stuff for the first time & I must say I’m very impressed about the x80 veg bars!!! But please everyone is welcome to come check out the Grow Off!!’ Thank you to You Mr.Growit & specially a big thank you to grow strong industries for holding this grow off
If your in soil and you build your own amendments etc then I've found what works really well is prep your containers and give them a couple weeks to three for the biology to stabilise .then plant into them.
Plants and humans aren't so different in the how react to stress. Just the right amount stress in the right situations and we become stronger 💪 and more resilient. Too much stress and the opposite occurs with sometimes fatal results... Thank you Chris and Nick for another fantastic episode!!!
The drought stress / dryback stuff is just the info I'm looking for, thanks man. Chris j7st asked the question I'm thinking 'which week of flower?' I love this show and FTS too, long may they reign. Ok, imma go listen to the answer now. Peace out, Growmies.
What a great episode!! Very good “knowledge bombs” lol and my local hydro guru told me to keep my mushroom bag low with the plants and put a fan or two to blow the co2 thru the canopy then it will actually go up to the exhaust fan. Thanks for the content!!
The guest said something that threw me off. He talked about the terpines and flavor profiles that you can achieve organically being unbelievable yet he says he goes another way because his clients want higher yields and quality, but I thought flavor profile and unbelievable. terpines were what we meant by quality.
I found getting hit by frost makes a huge difference in the smell of my plants. But it has to be the right strains in right place to not get bud rot or powdery mildew.
I have this giant 60W 6500k blue fluorescent light that I use the last 2 weeks of flower, noticable difference everytime. also slightly underwatering almost to the point of wilt are 2 examples of stress that works for me. ✌

Same experience. Pulled 5 oz off 1 plant under 100 true watt led. No training and she went ape shit! It was supposed to be an autoflower from ILGM. It showed sex but I had to flip her. She didn't herm to not bad at all.
imo wind stress causes more evaporation which accelerates photosynthesis. simply more surface area with humidity in the air. Since evaporation is key for photosynthesis to occur, if the air is stale, it will transport evaporation slower and less effectively.
Chris and Nick a big thanx for a really good 2 know episode. This is a subjekt that is very important but doesn't get as much attention sometimes! As a grower i lift my hats for you guys, and i want to wish you a supa dupa summa summertime ❤️💚💛 From Sweden 🇸🇪 to you guys 👊👊❤️💚💛

any thoughts on very carefully spraying chitosan oligosaccharide onto the lollypopped stem at the base every week through flower to make the plant produce more secondary metabolites?
Kind LED has really stepped up their game. Other manufacturers should take notice. Now that LED chips have pretty much reached their plateau in efficiency it’s not enough to offer the same 3000k 5000k 660 red cookie cutter and stay competitive.
Nick, I was about to purchase a kind led 750 I was impressed with the even distribution of ppfd across the canopy but the issue is on the ppfd map (which as a LED geek I live/die by) it doesn’t indicate how big each square is; I know it says in fine print what size is tent you measured output in, but the actual squares showing measurement aren’t disclosed
I don't want to be that guy but I'm pretty busy. If I had to be running around checking all my different plants levels and rates all the time I wouldn't find it fun. It would make it too much like real work. The EXACT thing I'm trying to escape keep up the good work guys.
Thanks for the video. I have owned a Gorilla grow tent for three years and other than the zippers screwing up causing me to have to retro fit the doors with Velcro strips I love it.
Early on I was really bummed about fox tailing in grow tent. But Then I grew an outdoor plant in the ground. It naturally fox tailed in heat wave and it was best tasting flower. No longer see it as a flop some genetics have better reaction to heat than others. Love how the plants work with US and our unintentional stresses.
ALL PLANTS. WOW MAN HAVE YOU SEEN ALL THE DIFFERENT PASSIONFLOWERS THERE ARE .CAME ACROSS THEM RECENTLY AND I'M REALLY CONSIDERING GROWING NO I'M GOING TO GROW SOME THEM BEAITIFUL PASSIONFLOWERS. I THOUGHT THERE WAS JUST A COUPLE THAT LOOKED THE SAME BUT WOW THEY'RE SO BEAUTIFUL MAN AND YOU GET A FRUIT FROM THEM.
I’ve had planted fish tanks in the past and I used a co2 fire extinguisher to inject co2 into the water for plant health and growth. I’m wondering if I would be able to do the same thing in my tent? Is this a thing or?
I've noticed that if you start a young plant out easy, it's easy to run. If you start a plant out hard, you have to be able to push it. That's where people mess up.. less is more. Most new lights need to be ran 50 percent until full veg. Then only to 70 until week 2ish, 3. Imo

If a new grower can plant cannabis outdoors the cost can be zero ...just time and local inputs can make meds of higher quality than dispensaries have ..just start growing with soil and local no cost amendments under the sun...lack of money should not stop people from growing if they want to...
Your microbes will continue to survive even with very low moisture levels in your medium. Your plants will long have died before the microbial life dies off in the medium. Drybacks are still very useful when growing with organics, but hydrophobic soil quickly becomes an issue. Finding a way to rehydrate your soil to near 100% moisture content after any dry back event is very important.
@@gtavtheavengergunnerlegend3340 I would never recommend watering from the bottom, your roots will end up concentrating in circles at the bottom of the pot instead of filling your medium evenly and watering from both the top and bottom is a great way to over water your plants. Never do this. After a dry back event, just reintroduce the moisture to the soil slowly, in small amounts over the day until you achieve complete saturation. You can use quillaja but its extremely expensive in comparison to Yucca Extract, they both do the same thing. Neither are required though, just watering in slowly, over a couple hours, from the top is for best way to rehydrate your soil after a dry back event.
The last 4 days let them dry out. They think they're dying and the trichomes fatten up. The 2 biggest tips I can give after 10 years...do not over water, do not go crazy with the nitrogen. 99 percent of new growers grossly over apply nitrogen, which is locking out lots of other nutrients, while you think you have a deficiency, its actually a over application of one or more macro nutrients that's creating a lock out. And if you're a new grower and u start out with ppm numbers as high as his, you'll fry your plants. Go about half his strength on EC or you'll regret it. Your leaves will turn dark green and start clawing and the plant will become stunted.
Not true man, it's scientifically proven that trichomes take a lot longer than 4 days to develop. This community really needs to stop spreading these false bro science theories. Doing way more harm than good and misleading new growers. Same with the 48 hrs of darkness BS and many other ridiculous bro science theories out there. Also, keeping your plants relatively watered up until harvest allows the plant to have a higher moisture content which will aid in a slower dry which results in better quality.
@@johnnyb4869 it fattens the trichomes up. That's all. This is a grow tip from a couple of growers in northern California that produce monster cannabis plants outdoors. Seasoned vets...it works. Also here's another trichome tip...harvest around 2 hours before the sun comes up, plants are more defensive at night and the trichomes under full sun will shrink. So if you want the full size of the trichome harvest around 4-5 am and you will have a fatter trichome. I also have a degree in biology and cross reference everything. Nothing I spout off is "bro science" I myself have 10 years of experience.
C02 burner? The humidity will spike like crazy. You are so behind in the times. Get a bale of hay and inoculate it with mushroom spores. You get mushrooms and a natural c02 source.

Seriously the frostist plants I've grown on the reg have been the ones where I felt like I had too much fan action. Thank for reminding me on that.

Venting air inn and venting out the room constantly just under negative pressure works really good.
So true and so beneficial, adjusting light output downwards!
I agree on the wind stress. Low humidity in flower can stress and drive tricome production I've noticed too.
Yeah I go for 40 to 50 percent during flower
I'm at 60% hum in flower and they're crazy frosty...not sure about that theory lol
