For the newbies i always recommend a proper peat based soil like Promix HP found at most any state now for 30ish,
    vegBloomHD for 25,
    and Recharge microbe for 25.
....biweekly heavy feedings (or a daily drip) / also aided heavily with watered down compost tea for a IPM foliar spray in veg.
Very cheap and covers everything simply with good rain or purified R.O. water, and a decent digital pH pen to 6.0 to 6.5..youre set.

Nice talk I think when she says she used GH early on in her growing and didn’t get the same terp profiles as she gets now I would contribute a fair amount of that to how far LED’s have come. There’s definitely a difference in terms of aroma colors and terps under these new quantum boards etc compared to HPS and MH

Plants are flowering beautifully here in Michigan. Again, good stuff. New sub! Always check PH (with quality pen) mine 6.2-6.8. Rain & some Tap water. PPM 350 up to 650-700. I'm learning to watch plants.
Still figuring out what they are telling me lol.
I run 4 dwc, but recirculate. 3 drippers on each to keep a good water flow. Last run was great, I used air stones, I'm trying without this time.
I use gh. Also hydrogaurd. I tried recharge, but it clogs up drippers.
    Hydrogaurd worked great, white roots.
700ppm in flower, 500 in veg.
Basicly half strength and a lil vitamin b i think, not superthrive, but another. Oh, silica, ... that's it.
I do use koolbloom for 4 weeks into flower.

I'm a 3 year experience grower and I've dabbled in bottled nutrients and organic as well and for any new growers I have a end all be all strategy. I use only two soil amendments in combination with mycholrizal fungi and trichoderma bacteria blend take your pick. In veg I use Espoma Garden Tone and terp tea by roots organic. You feed the soil not the plant roots like bottles. You do not have to pre mix your soil months in advance. However from seed you have about one month before the first topping and the first transplant. So I start the seed in a one gallon pot of organic cheap soil mixed with 1/4 cup of Espoma garden tone and of course mycholrizal fungi and trichoderma bacteria blend. Espoma garden tone is perfectly blended for cannabis growth. It's a 3-4-4 much like gia green 4-4-4 except it's cheap and available at Lowes or home depot. Espoma garden tone contains a blend of bacteria that are cannabis plant specific at digestion of the organic matter, bone and chicken feather meal. Combined with alfalfa meal and kelp powder extracts. In addition it contains sulfur, magnesium, manganese, iron, zinc and silica. For new growers 3-4-4 is NPK nitrogen phosphorus and potassium. These are all major nutrients that all plants need. However cannabis doesn't typically need much nitrogen in conjunction with phosphorus and potassium so 3-4-4 is a perfect blend along with the bacteria which breaks down the organic fertilizer only as the plant needs it. Likewise as you would expect since it has this bacteria in it. So long as you water with a good ph of 6.8 your good and like se said in general if you have a way to catch the rain water coming off your roof and let that water be exposed to the sunlight for 24hrs in advance before you bring it into your grow space. There should be no need to check ph once you have found your nesh in that regard. Meaning you've tested your water source many times before and you find a fool proof method like catching rain water that works for you.
So from seed in a one gallon pot with 1/4 cup of espoma garden tone for the first 3 weeks to a month. During this time I prepare a 7 gallon grow bag with potting soil mix with a little cow manure, earth worm castings , 1/3 cup of espoma garden tone and 1 tablespoon of mycholrizal fungi and trichoderma bacteria blend. I prepare this soil as soon as I have emergence/ the seed breaks the soil surface and opens. This gives the soil bag and amendment combination time to pre digest. Trust me following this recipe you will not have a hot soil or burn your plants ever again. So waiting at least 3 weeks to a month at best before transplanting. Then placing into the prepared 7 gallon grow bag. The plants will spend at least one more month in 7 gallon grow bag before flower and all you do is water when dry. That's it and that's all.
Lastly going into flower you want to wait until you see several hairs and what will become a crown of them before you add any more amendments. The only amendment I use is a new one from Roots Organic ; terp tea is what it is called and it's a 3-7-5 for full flower. I add only 1/3 cup to each grow bag and mix in a pinch of mycholrizal with it. At this time it's best to remove all the lower growth 1/3 of the bottom of the plants or every node that has a shadow. Doing this week one or two of flower your plants will have already begun to prepare to create those larf buds and have stored energy to produce them. by taking them off all that energy gets put into the light above and makes huge colas. And that's it likes she said you should know your deficiencies because. Some phenotypes are heavy feeders but using these to soil amendments you're removing all the guess work on whether or not you've given your plants enough. Trust me you have given them everything they need and it's far better that you know that you have and treat any problem if one plant or another happens to be lacking. Rather than giving your plants too much creating a toxicity and nutrient lockout which is incredibly hard to come out of. but by using this regiment your plants will be beautiful green and healthy and every one of them will stand up to the light like they should and if they get a little hungry. then that is exactly what you want because a happy plant is a hungry plant.

@@trippsmclovin yes it really quite is exceptional in flower that's terp tea by roots organic. It's a new alternative to the more famous gia green 2-8-4 but much better being that is ground into a powder. Plus I truly only use espoma garden tone for the entire grow/veg period. That with a little mycholrizal maybe great white really goes a long way. Like all the way with every micro nutrient available in just one bag at a ratio of 3-4-4 your plants all of them receive exactly what they need and just enough they are not over feed or unprepared when you happen to get that nitrogen sensitive phenotype as well. I have used it for my last 3 grows. Which I initially started with bottled nutrients from advanced nutrients. Which work great but that's just it. It's a lot of work checking ph and ppm. Over and over and what you give to 3 plants come to find won't work for 2 out of 6 and the final plant is so nitrogen sensitive that its become locked out and once its burnt it's hard to come back. Because bottles feed the roots directly. Organic feeds the microbes which feed the roots, But only as they need the food. So as long as your water source is tested and verified in a good range. Water when dry adding only mycholrizal and worm castings to boost the active microbes in the soil and your done. Plus when flush comes as long as you make your last feed of amendment one month prior too the harvest time your good. Which I like to add ice to the grow bag around the root ball or stem itself every other day for the last two weeks. It works wonders since some phenotypes may be hybridized and not fade out like the rest. While adding ice triggers the plants it preparing for fall frost. So they change colors, fade out from their former chlorophyll selves, and best of all they pump out more tricomes. The only defense your plant has. Which in my opinion ice in the pot is the only true and natural way to increase tricomes. Drilling holes in stalks and stems using UVB light may work. But its not completely natural. However wouldn't you want to enjoy the smoke of a plant that you loved it's whole life. Then as you thank it for giving its life on this day of harvest so that the two of you can be one in your lungs and in your very mind. I'm no hippie but think about it. No really think about all the bag bud we used to buy off the street. They call it gas because it was made with the same wicked hands who intended to get only our money for profit and power. Yet not you have in this very joint a special most beautiful and uniquely inspired joint made by you with all the love you gave it as it gave its life to join you in your most peaceful moment enjoying nature and the life you are given. So much better than all that gas based in lead and brought to you with bass in mind and in the music they listen too.

I'm also using her style of grow with the Autopots. No complaints, it's like the best both worlds.
I've been using FF for the past year and think it's pretty good. Way cheaper than all these others. I think I only use their 3 line-up plus a couple others and Cal/Mag. Advance Nutrients suggests 6 different nutrient bottle but Bloom Yellow Bottle the smallest suggestion Bloom Yellow Bottle recommends are 14 different bottles of nutrients. I still think FoxFarm is a much cheaper way to go. But I really want to grow organic. I'm using the Advanced Nutrients for the first time with some issues. One is man does it stink! Like dead roadkill. Also, I can't keep the pH down. Had it set to 6.5 and it keeps bouncing back up. Went up to 7.7 this morning. Maybe the whole shelf of BYB at the hydroponics store is the best way to go. Sorry for the novel

Im done with bottles and only use dry amendments now ,I found when you have multiple plants at multiple stages mixing bottles is to much work to meet individual plant needs . Dry amendments you put what you want where you want and water in with alll the same water it is alot more simple
