  • Time travel back to the 1920s once again for another beach vacation at seaside resorts around the world. 1920s culture and flapper fashion brought to life. AI colorized with added sound and remastered 4K 60fps
Silent footage colorized and restored using ai algorithms and manual techniques to 4K 60fps with added sound. Step back a century and meet real flappers of the roaring 20s. Resplendent in their bobbed hairstyles, colorful swimsuits and dresses.
0:01: Excerpt: Group of Girls heading off for a short holiday in two automobiles to Atlantic City at the height of the roaring twenties. The cloche hats and light summer frocks were typical of the late 1920s.
0:16: A 1920s swimsuit fashion show in Buffalo New York in 1929. A group of young women model colorful beach pajamas, cover-ups, headscarves and one-piece swimsuits with geometric patterns and contrasting colors. A girl in plaid holds a parasol, which was another popular 1920s beach accessory. The hairstyles, with their soft waves and bobs, reflect the changing beauty standards of the Roaring Twenties.
0:37: A group of Hollywood actors enjoy themselves at Palm Beach Florida. This is a restored edit of an old home movie filmed by Ira Gershwin ( brother of George Gerswin) . A girl wearing a classic Jantzen style swimsuit also appears.
0:58: Biarritz, France circa 1927. Scenic view of the shore. Relaxing in a cafe bar. People sunbathing along the Grand Plage. Colorful tents on the beach. Crowds walking on the promenade and swimming in the famous Biarritz surf.
    Film Restoration Process by Glamourdaze
The Film was enhanced using state-of-the-art Neural networks.
I take early fragments of silent 16fps footage and restore them to life by a combination of manual frame by frame colorization as well as the use of deep exemplar-based video colorization techniques. The footage is upscaled and the frames interpolated to a higher frame rate ( in most cases 60 frames per second.) Finally I produce a soundtrack which helps build a new immersive experience for the viewer.
Together, these processes revive old fragments of footage, offering audiences a more
vivid and engaging glimpse of lives long since lived in the distant past.

The post's notes say these were silent films and the sound's been added later.
In any case the first talkies weren't till the late 1920s and needed special equipment and sound stages, so it's a good bet it would have been very difficult to capture ambient sounds outdoors.

Everything looks more 'real' and 'modern' in colour. But in black & white it looks so arcane? I was reading Quentin Crisp's book 'How To Go To The Movies' and he says of Marlene Dietrich[p.75]: "All of those glimpses of depravity are only acceptable because they happened to heroines living in the distant dimension of monochrome". I think there is an observation of black & white there and how it makes things remote and unreal. Great videos here. Fascinating. ; )

"Civilization". It brought freedom for the masses and that is very good! But it brought such a deterioration of common decency as well. And people went to church back then, hearing commandments to live by. Not that they all adhered so well, but up till the sixties you didn't even lock your house door at night. Your bicycle was still where you parked it too, even without a lock on it. Now we have invented 70+ 'genders', each to their own derailed and totally oversexualized mind. People didn't want to get saved anymore, and so now they are lost to every wayward way of thinking and feeling. Green hair, fingernails that stick out a total inch. Mostly underdressed. Just crazy lost.

Have any of these people ever heard of casual wear? Too conservative. I'm so happy times have changed for the better.😂

No, you can't. But you just want to bitch about something. Says a lot about you and nothing about those others.

I always used to view the 20s fashion for ladies as an odd, disheveled phase compared to the 1800s or the latter 1900s, only recently have I truly come to appreciate just how lovely and empowering that moment in fashion must have been. No doubt an anxious time for people afraid of ladies beyond the ankles 🦵👠👗

You know about inaccuracies about the 1920s and that is all of you don't know how 1920s silhouette evolved from the prior silhouettes then you will obviously consider the 1920s the odd one out, also i remember seeing an old medieval manuscript or women doing chores with knee length dresses. There are so many inaccuracies about the 1920s and you are worsening it.

The Roaring 20's has never been bettered in fashion terms.
Those elegant young ladies of the day looked simply stunning and so feminine in there below waste tops, dresses and cloche hats. People dressed for the occasion and always looked smart, unlike the trackie's and trainers' worn generally today. Such a shame that standards have fallen to the level they have these days with 'anything goes.'

so the world has developed before, and then stopped developing again, and now not much is changing anymore, there is no progress except for smart phone artificial intelligence cnc machines in general, oil used to be in better condition, research and scientific studies were of higher quality and sincere.
