  • In this 202nd installment, Jimmy breaks out one of his 1st IYV guitars from 2020 when “The Ghost Of Christmas Past” shows up on Amazon for the 1st time in a long, LONG time…the IYV IBM-200 guitar from Inyen Vina Guitars. This guitar, rare, and often not seen showed up on Amazon this week, if only briefly before it “sold out” yet again….congrats to those who grabbed one!

      Hi BoltRM…at least I “think” they exist…could very well be that Amazon located some of them in a warehouse someplace, cause I was under the impression that they were no longer making the model like mine. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Much thanks…🎸👍

    If I ever see an affordable lefty version, I will spring into action! Mind you, IYV cancustom make any guitar, so.... Nope. I have to sell 2 to get 1. That's my deal with myself. Good fun, Jimmy!

    I'm still waiting for the relic IYV cherry burst LP to drop, the reason is the weight of these LPs,they were 6-7lbs and have a maple neck, they too are hard to come by,about a year ago they were threatening to drop a cool offset with a f-hole,but it never made it to market, come on IYV drop some goodies. 😊👍

    The mysteries of shopping IYV on Amazon, helps to have OCD 🤣 I’m a big fan of IYV and have both solid and semi-hollow, they have always been well made. I looked for the IBM200, no luck yet 😏, but I just recently got the ISMR200 and the IRK300 which when I ordered them said temporarily out of stock- the ISMR took about two months, the the IRK was about two weeks. The IBM for the price!! All of that hardware and labor, under $200, absolutely amazing! Thanks for bringing this one out for a show and tell, great job on showing all the different combo’s, and as always, some tasty licks 🤠

      Well, I check quite often to see what’s up and what’s not…I had not seen the BM for ages…the real trip is that someone said he got the model like mine, when clearly this has not been around for years, and the pic on Amazon clearly shows the “newer” version like the HB BM-75 without the zero fret and fretboard markings…it’s truly weird and the more I think about it the more I think they were old stock that either IVY found and sent, or Amazon found in a warehouse somewhere and put up for sale…😎

      It really is rare to not get what’s ordered, I’ve only had it happen once with a different brand, I ordered a semi hollow piezo only, for about $130 and got a really nice Les Paul style, so I ordered the same thing again lol, and this time got what I ordered 🤓 Got my juice box and apple slices, going to be parked in front of Amazon with my fingers crossed ha ha!@@JimmyStewart1

    Jimmy, only the version you have has the wide thick neck. All the otger version have a typical 43mm modern C neck. Least the ones I had were. I have 3 versions of this model, the Original "Lawsuit" version, 24" 24 zero fret modern C small solid body with Gonzo Nose" upper horn and 24" 24 fret no zero fret modern C small solid body with Gonzo Nose" upper horn. There are a few more versions that I have seen people post as well, like the aHarley Benton version s.
    For anyone interested, I have 2 unbranded and one branded "Lawsuit" versions I am willing to sell.

      Hi James…yeah, the neck on mine is great as I prefer a bit of beef…😎
      I know of the two IYV versions, but not of the 3rd, but that doesn’t surprise me either…appreciate your stopping in and sharing. 🎸👍

    • @sparxhbk

      I prefer the neck on that guitar as well. So much I ordered 2 of the DC JRs with that neck profile and a zero fret. I fell cramped on the. Smaller 43mm necks.
      Id be interesting to find out what version they shipped out this time. I didn't really care for the smaller body with the "Gonzo Nose". I really didn't like the way it felt when I was playing it. The "Lawsuit" version like you have kinda feels like playing a cross between a les Paul and a 335 to me. That's why I custom asked IYV to make them for me. It took a lot of convincing to get them to agree to make them for me. They insisted that they would not put the IYV logo on them. I do have one that has an IYV logo on the headstock that I luckily got when I ordered one off Amazon. Others were getting the smaller body wi the smaller neck at that time. I just assumed I got a Lawsuit version that was hiding in a warehouse somewhere. Glad I got it because it was exactly what I was looking for in a guitar neck. It's like an acoustic neck. I learn to play on an acoustic guitar. I didn't get an electric guitar till almost 5 years after I started playing. I have always felt guitar necks were too small, even the "Baseball" necks. So when I put my hand around theat " Lawsuit" version I was very happy.

      Yep!! The neck feels “similar” to my 54 LP neck. Love it…🎸👍

    Hey Jimmy, got a question for you - thinking about a firefly Tele. How is guitars garden to deal with? Where do the guitars ship from, how long does shipping take? I have emailed them and have received no response yet- any info on that? I figured as much as you have dealt with them you could give me some answers. Thanks Jimmy!

    • @JimmyStewart1
      @JimmyStewart1  8 месяцев назад

      Hi Carl….Firebird music is legit, and there official website is www.guitarsgarden.com
      So the deal is, they build models in small batches and sell via their website. They ship from California. The guitars are sent directly via the factory in China to a distribution warehouse in CA. Depending on where you are located in the lower 48 will effect shipping time to some extent. Closer to West Coast, usually the quicker to receive…about 10 days right now from placing order to receipt on the East Coast. They are a small company, with small amount of employees and all located in China, so time differences, language differences and other issues can certainly effect communications. Hope that helps a bit…appreciate your stopping in…🎸👍
