As someone who did macrame for many years, I love the Larks Head knot. To me, tatting looks like continuous larks head knots. I learned the tatting Larks Head join years ago and I'm so thrilled to see you showing tatters how to use it. Thank you for this lovely video. 🙂👍👏
Thank you. I made Jan Stawasz' Monster Doily with Larks Head joins... and I copped a LOT of 'attitude' from others for doing so... what's the point, so much effort etc. Well; the point was - it was a special 70th birthday gift for my awesome Mum, I'm a perfectionist, it was my doily, and I wanted to! I'm glad you enjoyed the video 🙂
I do like this join, as fiddly as it is. Although once you get going it's just as quick as a regular join. I have used this join throughout the Monster doily - 18 rounds! 😆 So glad you're liking the videos
Definitely enjoyed the video,Monique!!😍🙋♀️ Am i right ,that unlike cwj, it is not a blipless join ? ...as i see a color blip on backside of my lhj ....hope that it is not my join mistake 🤔...

No, you will see colour blip on the back
@@NooBearAus OK.thanks
When do we use this?? Looks like a split chain would do the same thing.
A split chain won't work when you're wanting to join two rings. It's a great join for when you're working with two different colours.
