Back when BMW’s we’re still the Ultimate Driving Machine. This was the last “pure” generation. Others would argue it ended with the E46, some even with the E36. I would still own an E90. The end of the naturally aspirated straight 6 was the end of an era in the 3 series.
I own this car, 05 and here's a little personal review for anyone interested. The car is just spot on to be in and to drive. Its more comfy than you think it is. Its super nice to cruise around and you could go all day and never press throttle more than 10% and never reach more than 1800rpm. But theres always something so inviting to just feel it a bit, to go half throttle, to reach 3000rpm,boot it out of the corner,reach 4000 or 5, just like this little drive shows here. It has so many little niggles, it uses a bit of oil which is normal for it and after two years owning it even still a few things poped up, although i think its almost in perfect condition now and should hold itself there for a long while now too. Its just no other car just feels so right. Its always so inviting to go for a drive or go somewhere. Its at such ease, eventhough I always try to preserve it, if i need to pass 3 cars and a truck I can just boot it and be done with it in 1/8th of a mile. I just wish to have it perfect and hold it there for 3-5 more years. Im hard pressed to find a good replacement when the time comes.
You keep teasing my heart with this 325i. Back in 2006 or there abouts, BMW had an annual event called The Ultimate Drive, and the closest dealer to me was a Herb Chambers there in Boston, on BU's campus I believe. For that year, they had the whole line of cars available to be driven, even an oddball Alpina. I enjoyed all of their cars, especially the Z4 but the 325i they had on offer won my heart. Stepping out of my own car, the 325i felt solid. It was a nice place to be and dead simple. Leatherette, automatic, just basic. I've never forgotten that car and I think it's always affected my feelings on car choice. Yes, it'd be nice to have all of the power in the world, with all of the new technology and features. But, there's something so inviting on just having the uncomplicated essentials.
I juss bought this car for $700 as is. 200k miles, all it needs is two rear tires & a crank position sensor. I’m excited to own a BMW. Everybody said it’s a money pit lol but I’m up for the challenge lol
Everyone's going back on here remember the time when BMW used to have normal looking Grills. And BMW's actually look like BMW's cars full for the hot bros and babes...not big grill shite for the tik tokers
@@Lucky8s yeah but Germans make you pay an arm and a leg for options that come standard in Japanese and Korean cars for example, people who buy any base model German car over a fully equipped Japanese/Korean car is only chasing the badge, nothing else
@@gbaby6774 I've owned 3 gens of 5 series and think they went way downhill with the F series cars circa 2011. Blindfolded I would have guessed it a Lexus bc almost zero steering feedback with the electric power system.. I sold that 2013 after one year and still have my 2010
@@gbaby6774 the M2 is awesome in every way except for still steering feedback compared to say the 1M. Sounds like it might not be a problem in the new m2 CS

Probably the most underrated BMW 3 series ever released. E9X is always known for either a 328i or 335i, yet this one doesn’t get enough fuss.
