It shows accurately how few cars were on the road even in central Moscow. Those who owned a car were like the 1% in the US today. The public transport was very good in all major cities in the USSR and 99% of the population relied on it. They were sometimes crowded but always very cheap and ran regularly.
Somebody i know who used to live in CCCP said they were ok but had one problem: Many had defect exhausts which made the last rows being quite literally gassed with pollution. She told me sometimes it was so worse she got dizzy from the oxides. But when you sit in the front it was all chill.

I have nothing but praise for the mighty USSR. It was not only a glorious society and inspiration for workers worldwide but it indirectly helped my country's workers by forcing the capitalists to make concessions, lest they wanted to meet the same fate as the Russian bourgeoisie.

I had a teacher who was very kind and believed in me at a time when I did not believe in myself. She had gone to Moscow state university and had completed a math degree there. I remember asking her if she had considered joining the space agency when she was in Russia because they were known for having one of the best space agencies in the world and she said "well in a way I was involved with the space agency. I taught math to a lot of engineers who went to go work for them."

It shows accurately how few cars were on the road even in central Moscow. Those who owned a car were like the 1% in the US today. The public transport was very good in all major cities in the USSR and 99% of the population relied on it. They were sometimes crowded but always very cheap and ran regularly.
Somebody i know who used to live in CCCP said they were ok but had one problem: Many had defect exhausts which made the last rows being quite literally gassed with pollution. She told me sometimes it was so worse she got dizzy from the oxides. But when you sit in the front it was all chill.

I have nothing but praise for the mighty USSR. It was not only a glorious society and inspiration for workers worldwide but it indirectly helped my country's workers by forcing the capitalists to make concessions, lest they wanted to meet the same fate as the Russian bourgeoisie.
