I work in British outsourced company unit in Delhi, I can see AI is slowly penetrating our work and so far 20% work has already been automated and rest is under testing phase.

@@CandidCast how is that good? A lot of us esp south Asians we learn a particular skill n try to master it for years and spend so much money and energy learning that and if AI takes it now. What do we do next?

AI is no different than a calculator, Google Search or a Computer.
AI helps in automation. It can handle certain simple tasks and maybe certain tasks that maybe slightly unusual.
But AI can't replace a human. The big companies are trying to integrate AI in their system to reduce work force and save money.
It maybe useful at some level. But AI needs more monitoring. It may not solve certain issues or screw up.
The goal by a lot of companies is to experiment with new technology. I doubt it will be beneficial.
When people think of AI then they feel like its supermans plannets Kryptons new technology.
The max I see is if 10 people would have been hired to do the job now 5 or 6 would do it in a department.
AI remove in efficiency and 70% are in solving that inefficiency, have you worked on some process or system, it contain so much bureaucracy which gives the job. In short AI will eliminate people hose skill is obsolete. Technically they are taking job now it time to tax heavily robot, so country can run welfare schemes

Definitely with AI penetrating further and further in the workforce, thanks to the generocity of IT folks, many of these IT Indian 'gurus' will be on the street and soon heading back to Glorious India, especially from the US of America.
Kay baat hai... meaning in future people get free money from government...and robots do everyday works...so people eventually become more lazy and take on more drugs...so it means full on vat lagne wali hai in future for sure
