@sergeantbigmac thanks for your input. I personally can't wear 100% cotton anything because of how curvy I am. The range of motion for those clothing is horrible for me, and they rip easily. Madewell is where it’s at girl!! Their denim is amazing. I justify the cost because they are made so incredibly well and hold up for years even with regular everyday wearing. Go for it!!
Can we just appreciate that these jeans started out fulfilling the American dream and giving comfortable leg wear to hardworking blue collared men and they still do today but now they have branched out to be fashionable beautiful piece of Americana
i have a pair of madewell jeans and i love them!!! i’m a curvy girl and they fit me perfectly around the waist and hips. yes they are expensive, but the great quality makes up for it! madewell also does free repairs if your pair of jeans does break, and they also recycle old pairs of jeans. if you bring old pairs of jeans and other denim items, they’ll give you a discount on jeans you buy in the store! so yeah, madewell’s awesome.
Honestly, this is why I stopped wearing jeans😢, was so difficult to find a pair that actually fit my frame well annnnd being so pricey on top of that. Now im a dresses and long skirt girlie
That’s an okay price for the quality, material and fit. I just bought similarly priced pants online and they came with a crooked waistband seem making it all bunched up like really wtf and some companies are selling 100% polyester crap for similar pricing it’s bonkers out here shopping yall!
Thrifted a pair of madewell, it's got a lot of elastic in the fabric so it isn't as durable as I'd hope. And the cutting just didn't hug my hips and slides down (high waisted pair). I can't say I'm a fan. Looks good if I just wear it and don't move at all....
PLEASE draw up a pattern of your original 70s jeans- you can use that template to make loadsa jeans and yku look fantastic in them, you won't regret it!
Yes madewell is so far the only brand I’ve found that fits my waist to hip difference. Sale and/or bringing in an old pair of jeans to trade and they come out worth it to me. Real vintage could def be more cost effective but you have to get lucky. They are much thicker than the cheaper jeans I was buying before so I’m getting a lot more wear out of them before my thighs wear through the crotch.

In fact, I managed almost the entire skinny jeans years, by just wearing my old looser proper denim jeans.

if you're not that active and/or don't leave the house a lot or change out of them when you get back home and so only wear them a couple hours while out and about you can easily wear a single pair of jeans for a week sometimes two weeks before you end up needing to even wash them for the first time and these seem made really well so you can like wash them dozens or hundreds of times with no fade or damage they look like investment piece quality jeans made to last for at least 2 years probably 5-10 years so yeah cost per wear would be pennies or less probably.
