"Every work of art is a child of its time" - so true, so relevant in understanding the context of contemporary art. We lived in a very confused society, one where no one is able to make up their mind. Well, everything's subjective, according to postmodernism. Hence, our (post)modern art is one which reflects our outlook on life, and you can see it through a lot of these concept artists of today. Mr Kandinsky, you uttered a line so very simple yet ultimately true. Bravo.
Kandinsky and Miro - revisit these two often to get rid of "musts" in making art and enjoying shape and colour for its own sense - thanks for this vid x
Mihail ROLEA
The paintings in his later life are my favorite modern abstractionism works. His streamlined forms and shapes are an evolution from the coarse counterparts in cubism. His bold mixes of colors probably have come up with all possible hues in the universe. The combination of colors and slim lines and shapes make the paintings so vivid and very pleasant to our eyes. (BTW, the music is from Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata)
What a wonderful line of pictures! But unfortunately they are all distorted in the vertical. And he died in 1944, not 1964. would it be possible to fix both?
