As we rightfully demand for accountability from our leadership, we should also be honest enough with ourselves and look in the mirror. The thieves are our parents, brothers, sisters, uncleS neighbours, friends.... we know them, yet we never question where the money comes from as long we benefiting from it. WE ARE ALL GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION
Kindly say it out loud for the people at the back ‼️
Very true. Most of these guests talking eloquently about the plight of Kenyans and how wastage should be cubbed have already benefitted handsomely from the failed system.
Ukweli wa maneno
Kenya needs to listen to this program if we hope to have a working country.
Find out what President Kagame and Rwanda have done to make their the envy of the West.
In Singapur people STOP at the red light and follow the rules & law. Their President and Family dont STOP the roads to let them pass. To make that work dont need any money. Start building the foundation, not empty talks but doing different!
This definitely needs to be dealt with. How I wish Njeru would do a well written introspection into his experiences and give us a from his perspective a proper guideline on how best this can be managed.
This would give us a proper outline of what Zakayo or his replacement must do.
I think as a country, we are not living within our means...maoni yangu ni mishahara na allowances especially ya state officers zipunguzwe maradufu!!
The ruling class are not.
Mwananchi wa kawaida inabidi
The new catchphrase by the president is “ watch this space” .. . Aka tutafanya, tutajenga, tutaona, just kicking the can down the road. I like this panel and the guests, very eye opening. Keep it up.
💯💯
Eric & the Situation Room squad.. please be getting us guests like this! Sound , knowledgeable & articulate!
Lets all of us and i mean All of us change.Change the way we live, basic means .
Ipoa should have a office in every police station they will be more effective than waiting for complaints in one central place.
Macharia is a true corporate leader both in deed and in spirit, selfless and not exploiting office for a twisted personal gain at the expense of the poor majority of poor taxpayers
The police does not follow the regulations on discharging of the guns.
I have a personal encounter with and well I pray for such an experience never happens again.
Some policemen are trigger happy and they don’t care at all. It’s like they are not human
The same fellow was fighting src for judges car allowance as jsc chairperson
Read your constitution and understand who serves as Chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission
THis was a high voltage conversation. Most people ignored the conversation because Njeru is not their everyday politicians like Didmus Baraza with empty talks, packed with hatred.
It's nauseating thinking about the level of on tour face corruption that happens in this country.
❤Yes, set the tone from the top. Well said Macharia 💪👍
President Ruto's question on how to bridge the gap without taxing and borrowing has well been articulated by this gentleman 😊😊
Enough said. We have a privilege system built on patronage and excessive, unnecessary expenses. A broke, debt-ridden country like Kenya cannot afford to continue like this.
I am convinced wasteful expenditure and corruption is costing the country some Shs 1 trillion+ yearly
He has been vice chair of JSC.. do we talk of how much corruption have been in the judiciary??? People are used to sanitising themselves
Talking of waste while judiciary has a budget for cars and have been having it, per diems.... what did he do when he was vice chair of JSC!!!! Tired of this shit of people being holy when they leave office
What has been wet by the rain cannot be wet but the fog- if you have gone through big tribulations small problems cannot bother you!
1.Ban international travels by all the three arms of government and the purpose of travel be carried out by our Embassy personnel!
2.Goverment meetings be carried out in government boardrooms!
3.Gocernment officers foot the bills of their personal assistants ! Government officers are supposed to be competent and where they are not competent you pay for it!
I missed this session, I really wanted to ask about legitimacy of appointing family members to public offices.
Well well. Have we ever had IPOA working???? People are used to sanitising themselves when they leave office..I cannot remember a time we had a good behaving police
Police who are undercover with civilian clothes should have a police badge to identify themselves. If plain clothes police are in operation they should arrest after identifying their police badge but should not be in any altercation that they do not have a chance to identify themselves. A police commander assigned on ground should not allow an identified unit to operate without a direct authority and identification with the police commander on ground
Just to add on the proverb....you can not undo what has happened..... it has happened has happened
I don't understand how politicians cost of using expressway is paid by our taxes
Wow i am very happy the wakili is hitting the truth on the head. Per Diems that has led this opulence, arrogance and despicing the public.
Eric, Du and CT you are doing a great work.
Went the DP was here in Germany last year I told him directly the issue of Per Diems and i immediately made enemies. The reason i was candid with him is because he started the narrative of telling each other the truth.
Hiyo hot seat yenu will like to sit on it.
One day.
All the best you are the voice of reason na tuko wengi✌🏿
Pure honesty....and this will be on records
You can't believe that they are hiking their packages and a referral hospital like MURANG'A, inpatients are having to share beds. 😢
Total contempt of taxpayers.
Macharia is a gentleman. A lawyer worth his salt.
They waste the taxpayers tax shillings because they do not feel the pinch of real work and paying tax! Chasing per diems is a big integrity issue! Let them use the Board Rooms and stop going to Naivasha and Mombasa to eat Pilau!!!
Remove the per diems from their remuneration and reduce their salaries so that we know the ones who vie for those positions are true service people!
Remove most benefits and match them like the other wananchis.
Tumechoka🙇🏾♀️🥱😉✊🏾🇰🇪
The president of Switzerland in Bern is driving to job by bycicle.
that's not true
Mr. Njeru did well in IPOA. I got assistance from the institution that was invaluable. It was destroyed there after, systematically and deliberately. Today police oversight is non existent.
My only criticism of IPOA under Njeru was the fact that they employed or coopted policemen to do their investigations that created a big mess. The policemen sabotaged investigations, they went to the extent of intimidating complainants.
Hii per diem iende!
Spice tv/Radio - you are doing a comedable job of highlighting and punching holes on areas that the Gvt is running messy
The tone certainly needs to b set from the very top. If leaders do not abide by the rule of law, what sense is there for the citizens to do so? It is a culture that needs total revision
Rules for thee but not for me simply encapsulates the behavior of our government officials
Mr Njeru is a man of principle. A true patriot not this parrots we have in power now.
Pretty
Wow
Pure honesty, Kenya has enough for everyone if things are done right.
Such an excellent and informative interview
The old politicians we have they have to go all of them .what i saw on the protest is unacceptable. We nees accountability
