I almost cried when i saw the cottage, truly authentic and those walls could tell some real tales of the occupiers over the centuries. We are truly blessed in the UK to have such history and the beautiful buildings our ancestors left us.
Beautiful old building. Nicely filmed, too. It might have been nice to chat a bit about who lived there before it was a Post Office. Thank goodness for the National Trust ( it might be an idea to explain a bit about who they are for folks overseas. Thank you!
I am in love with the upstairs bedroom! It’s just so cozy and magical. I couldn’t believe those steps to get upstairs! It’s amazing to me that this little property is as twice as old as my country. Also, I loved the music you paired with this video. Unrelated to the house, but what a beautiful and cozy jacket you’re wearing!
Visited this last September and it was truly amazing to see. The history is fantastic for this building and that originally when it was a farmhouse it was single storey. The roof must be so heavy too cause the stone tiles must be at least 3inches thick. The furniture in there is lovely too, in keeping with a period it once went through. Thanks for the explore xx
I bet those bedrooms were freezing, especially in winter! Funny how it’s survived for 600 years, was a Post Office for only 11 of them, but it’s only known as the Old Post Office.
I know it’s so weird isn’t it haha. I suppose it’s the latest thing it was until it became a museum. Yep it was freezing in there in 2024 let alone 1824 😂
This looks like exactly my idea of a perfect house. Other than the fact that the swayback roof makes me feel a bit worried! Such a perfect garden and even a water well with a bucket-pulley. The samplers on the walls and the white quilt are fantastic. Thank you so much!
You’re so welcome Pamela! The roof has been like that for hundreds of years I believe so I think it’ll be okay if you get the chance to move in 😉💚. It’s gorgeous isn’t it? Xxx

Thank you ☺️. Good idea. It was so windy I couldn’t really talk 😂🤣. But will be sure to add something in maybe as a voice over in future.

Isn’t that crazy to think a house is older than a country omg! I can’t believe that when it’s said out loud haha.
Thank you so much 🥹🥰😘

Couldn't agree more! I’m so pleased you’ve visited and enjoyed it as much as we did. It’s like a fairytale cottage isn’t it? X
I am so excited to show you all round! I hope you enjoy the tour of this very old English cottage!

You are so welcome!
Thank you yes I did enjoy. Very interesting. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it xx
No doubt those walls are filled with stories. Any writer would relish access to such a place. My house across the channel is only 400 years young...
Looks like a fun tour!
You can watch it to find out if it is one! Haha
❤❤❤
Wish there could of been some pictures of the Kitchen and Pantry.
There isn’t one
Saw this many years ago.
Yay
