- Here is a complete walkthrough from start to finish of upgrading your SYNC 2 system to Navigation.
I have edited and sped up parts of the video footage during the updates, in real time it took around 40 mins.
I didn't want to edit out anything so you could all see it as a complete uninterrupted walkthrough and see each step.

I followed your video and it worked on a 2016 f350. I tried following a couple other videos but yours is hands down the best and I actually got navigation to work thanks to you!
Just activated navigation by following your video and it worked :). Many thanks for sharing your knowledge and publishing this video. I bought pre-owned vehicle and dealer told that vehicle never had navigation hence it would be expansive to have this feature. I was able to do it very easily and economically through this procedure. Thank you once again.

Thanks for the video, I was about to spend $800 on eBay for a navigation radio unit from the wrecking yard. But it seems they can all show Navigation with a program update, software change, and the map SD card inserted.
I suspected this was the case with the SD chip map reader already in the glove box. Ford doesn't include extra parts that are completely useless, so it CAN be updated for navigation with the right OBD tools.

Hi just waiting for the elm 27 I'm already on the 3.10 software. Can l put the navipatch and the navigation downloads in or do they have to be done in the same sequence as you did. Thanks Shaun.

Hello great video and the software has updated but after the final step of adding the new wallpaper the Sat Navigation does not come up. Is there a different code for the second block for a Ford Smax 2016 Zetec ??

Already have 3.10 Sync 2 installed. Do I need to reload it or just do the Forscan update and the navipatch update?

Hey Luke. I have 3.10 as well but have a message that says “insert nav sd” I’m using an A7 card. I might but another but want to ask what card your using first. Thanks

Hi, Do I need to get, buy any licence (Ford forums say you need a licence and I'm confused) to enable Nav on sync 2 or is it just installing the software downloads as per your video?
Hi, the forscan software needs the extended licence to access the APIM fuctions and its free on the forum, or you can buy a longer license if you wish for a few pounds.

Hello! I have done everything in order, i had 3,10 on my c-max 2015 already installed, i changed that one number in forscan and then the letters on the top changed to navigation. I have installed the png patch and applyed it, it said navigation on. Then i have reseted sync and after it loaded i put the F10 europe navigation in sd slot. It says insert navigation card and that is it, nothing is loading. Card is not faulty, i have tried to put it in friend's focus 2015 and it is working flawlessly. Do you have any idea what i am doing wrong? I dont understand..thank you

Secondly i was wondering if i can change the voice command from an american accent to an English accent as it now refers 'mobile' as a 'cell'. Mild inconvenience but would be good to know. Cheers 👍

Hi I have 2012 Ford Focus. My Sync module apim was broken and I got used one from same car same year . But the used one doesn’t have backup camera navigation and auto park. So if I update sync software which car vin number I should use to download the file. My own car or used apim- car vin number?
Hi, it doesn't matter because the software is all the same for whichever region you are in, those features will only work again if they are coded into the as built format. Thanks, Mark.

What is on the thumb drive and where do i get it?

problems because voice navigation is not working properly. It mixes yards and
miles with each other, always telling the wrong distances. The information on

Many thanks. I have successful installed the sat nav software. I bought an F8 Nav card instead because I thought it's more current. I recon its F7 used. Can the F8 not work on this 3.10 updated sync2? This is because there is no recognition of even SD card entry on the sync screen.
Hi, yes I am using F8 maps on all the latest installs, it works fine. Try verifying it has files on it by plugging into a PC, there are some dodgy ebay ones out there..

As for the F8 SD card, I just had to switch off the ignition and then switched on again and it was detected. I now have a beautiful SatNav screen. I couldn't thank you much🙏.

Best video out there. I need some guidance. After all the procedures were completed on my car (13 Ford Explorer), the navigation version didn't load, but the top right corner says, "insert NAV SD card." I reset several times but no luck.

I’ve just installed it using this video as guidance! Really good video. The only issue I’m having is when it asks me to insert SD card I plug mine in and it doesn’t acknowledge it or anything and still asks for SD card. Is that a fault with the one I’ve bought off EBay?
Yes probably a faulty copy.. a lot of people are getting cards of Ebay and they are blank too..

Hello I need a bit of expert advice. I’ve downloaded multiple 3.10 downloads but when I try to instal them I only get as far as after it instals the files then a problem appears saying waiting for USB device then goes on to say no USB detected cancelling updates. What could possibly be the problem. I have a 2015 Ford Focus titanium.
List which versions you have tried and pay particular attention to the last letters as these are the region designation and this must be correct. Sounds like you may have corrupt files. We are now working on a new software update and will be selling a complete kit to do this mod.
MAS Audio so I used this link that I came across on the ford owners form ivsu.binaries.ford.com/swparts/Gen2v38build15128updatepackageEULangpack5Rev4.zip?FordOwnersClub&ForumLinks& and it was all going well cause it was installing the files on the drive but then it just says no usb detected when it hasn’t been touched at all.
I've downloaded the 3.10 update but my kuga is saying I've successfully update even though it's currently on 3.08
check the version in the help option and double check what it says after the update.

It's the 14073 part that is the version.. your version is actually older than both 3.08..... and 3.10........ so yes you are fine.

Hello, as far as I'm aware, all sync2 systems are the same, just different regions. So it should work for you no problem.

I have updated to the 3.10 and tried for hours to get the Navigation to work reading and rereading the forscan forums. Downloading multiple files and it still won't work. I also keep getting an error on sync that it has run out of room or isn't compatible even though I use the same files. I don't know how everyone but me has success with this.
You don't follow directions to well.... Took all of 35 minutes to get mine up and running.
Where did you download the information from? Software 3.10 and images necessary for this?
The information I learnt myself, with the help of forums and searches, the software is not available for download as far as I know.. as I searched many broken links previously, the original supplier of the software I have, passed it onto me, in return for a favour, but I was told not to re-distribute it so I cannot help you with that.
