Elvis did not ever lock Priscilla up at Graceland.
It's been stated that she had a car (which he bought for her as a surprise graduation gift) and unlimited money to go out anywhere and do anything she wished.
She even modeled as a first job which Elvis was set against, but she was not kept at home, lol....

Elvis had good and bad traits just like a lot of people, he was a complicated and flawed man with a lot of baggage but not the bad guy as some try to portray him. Priscilla actually stated that Elvis forcefully made love to her in her book but later said in an interview she regretted her choice of words and that it was an overstatement but that he was insensitive to her as a woman by that time, plus the heavy drug use and cheating. But she also said good things about him too and they remained close even after their divorce even holding hands as they walked out of court at their divorce hearing. He even supported her and helped her purchase her boutique. As for Linda, she also said good things about him too but she left him for the same reason as Priscilla. He was a better entertainer than he was a husband or partner but I don't overlook his good qualities like being very generous to others including strangers and kindness to his fans.

Seriously? The man has been dead since 1977. His EX-wife Priscilla is trying to ride on the coattails of the Baz film about Elvis by coming out with a movie on Elvis named after her. I'm really starting to think that she is a narcissist. She also was estranged for at least 8 years from her daughter that she had with Elvis, Lisa Marie. Lisa Marie was upset about the Priscilla film and was threatening to come out publicly against it because she thought that it put her father in a bad light. Priscilla didn't care because she's all about the $$$$$$$$ and attention on her. Priscilla has been riding the Elvis gravy train for decades and yet she always says something to put him in a bad light. Elvis is not here to give his side of the story. Stop trashing Elvis!

Elvis was raised to respect women but he was in the candy store. Most of us would do the same thing. Not surprisingly every relationship with women ended the same way.because every one had to be all about HIM. There just wasn’t anything in it for any woman which is what Priscilla found out. He only lived for 42 years from touring & recording & making movies & he was a ladies man. But he couldn't sustain any relationship with any woman it seems. In the end they all left him. I remember watching Elvis on the tv one evening. He was at a concert he was doing, and as he moved about on stage it was easy to see that he was not only over weight, but also that he was physically ill. I couldn't watch, so I got up and turned the tv off. A few months later the news stated that The King was dead. My last memory of him is of a grossly overweight man, sweating profusely on the stage and mopping his brow and face with a towel that was permanently kept around his neck. His face was more grey than flesh tone and he was honestly slurring his lyrics to his songs. He stumbled around the stage for five minutes, then he walked off the stage, and then after a couple of minutes he returned to the stage. Poor guy looked so, so rough. I think he needed to go to a rehab center. He was so obviously ill. But no one argued with Elvis, unless they wanted to lose their job. He was so, so young when he died. Poor poor guy. What a messed up life he lived. God grant him everlasting peace.

And I know Gladys was very protective of her only child I guess when u see your child born sleeping u kinda get attached to the living one hell I don’t know what do call that a mothers love or something! 🙄 and the comment she made about sitting on her lap in the memoir she never says if he did it just says she would make comments to him like that I’m sure Elvis would tell her he was to big for that. I really think she should just go home and spend time with her so called wonderful son who after Lisa passed has suddenly learned to talk . I have seen that clip, if I remember right he started singing what a friend we have in Jesus. Was a bit odd considering the crude remark he had just made. I have also listened to interviews with the Memphis Mafia, Priscilla and even Elvis. Along with reading a few books. They all brought up similar information and it seems very clear if one is honest the man had some issues. He had many good qualities and was extremely talented but far from perfect.

For a channel with the word "fact" in their name, so much of this is not factual: I almost laughed when you got to the end and tried to make it seem like Ginger was the disrespectful greedy former partner. Priscilla turned that into an art form after Elvis' death to the tune of 50 million dollars and she just helped make a movie that painted him as grooming abuser through actual lies, exaggeration, and of course, erasing all of the parts of the story that make her look bad.
Elvis did not groom Priscilla as you or the recent movie claims. Priscilla had so much autonomy and control over her own look she changed it to look more like Ann Margret when she feared she was losing Elvis to his co-star and there is photographic proof. There's also a lot of people who speak about Elvis being pressured into the marriage by Priscilla, The Colonel, and Priscilla's father and less than a year into the marriage, Elvis tried to pursue a separation from Priscilla which again he was talked out of by the same three parties.
The reason he wanted the separation was due to Priscilla's first affair that began right after Lisa Marie's birth and the affair that eventually led to their divorce was with a man that Elvis thought was his friend but that man was also married, he lefts his wife and kids for Priscilla so that wasn't Priscilla finally coming to her senses.
Elvis met Linda Thompson a few short months later and fell head over heels in love with her. The two were incredibly happy for a very long time. Elvis even broke his fidelity record for her. Linda is one of the sweetest women and has nothing but wonderful things to say about Elvis.
As for the drugs and weight issues you so easily chalk up his death to... you know nothing.
    Again, get your facts straight.

Shame on you. Elvis was poor, but his dad did work. As a matter of fact, the Presley's had to move out of subsidized housing because their income was over the limit to reside there. The Presley's also had many other family members living with them when they needed help. Elvis was closer with his mom because Vernon was in jail for 2 years for writing a bad check, claiming he was owed the money by a former employer. The amount of the check was under $10.
As far as Natalie Wood is concerned, she was sleeping with men old enough to be her grandfather while trying to get into the movies which, by the way , was encouraged by her mother who always wanted to be an actress. Elvis was a Southern gentleman and had respect for women and himself. Also, he was afraid of catching a sexual disease. So stop talkinging about things you know nothing about.

Although I like some of Elvis music, I am not a huge fan of his. Additionally, I can't stand older men who take advantage of girls. But I see his relationship with Priscilla as not being gross. He was in his early 20s - 10 years her senior. We see nowadays much greater age gaps. Back then, this was not an uncommon situation at all. I am much younger, more current times, and I was 17 when my first boyfriend was 22. Was that wrong? I don't think so myself. He got my parents' approval. Also, Elvis never touched Priscilla until he married her. I think that is respectful, something that men nowadays would never do. As for his saying he could influence and mold her to be the woman he wanted, well, I know of men right now who believe that women should be how men want them to be. Nothing changed. Priscilla seems like she has always been a very independent woman, so I don't think Elvis had much of a negative effect on her. Any man would be pissed to find out he got cheated on. Many men go crazy for lesser reasons. None of it is okay. If Elvis cheated with multiple women, 2 wrongs don't make a right. Priscilla went behind his back and cheated - not usually something that a meek, submissive, controlled wife would do. I am sure Elvis was no saint, but he had the right intentions, for example, he wanted to serve in the military as a common man though he didn't have to. He was a great performer who brought black American music to the forefront, he was an artistic icon, and from what I have heard through the years, he helped many people, was a generous and compassionate man. He had 2 serious tragedies in his life, a trauma from infancy from losing his twin, and later losing his mother whom he loved dearly - why do people judge his relationship with his mother? His was a very complicated life. No one can be all and have it all. May he rest in peace with his ancestors, and his child, and gradchild. Tragic family.

Elvis was not ashamed of sitting on momma's lap in front of any superstar model nor women because what Nattily Wood wanted to investigate is how he lived and with who ! When a man is sure of his love for anyone and anything ,he will easily show it with confidence !
Elvis trusted in Nattily but she felt more important than Elvis ! Nat did not like Elvis for his looks but for his music was all ! She was in love with someone else ,because of meeting so many men since her childhood ! When you want your momma to buy you a bicycle but instead buys you a guitar its because she saw a singing talent in Elvis ! He sung in the Church and Gladys knew it ! Thanks to his momma's love for him ,Elvis developed songs and were recorded in a radio studio and was broadcasted ! Elvis Presley did not need any approval by anyone ,man or female for his actions ! Get this into your head and you may also succeed ! But childish manners and misunderstanding the life of a humble young person may lead you to failure ! IJNIP,Amen !🙏🙏🙏⭐🎶🎵🎤🎸🎼🎹❤🇺🇸💰📻📺

There are many in-depth books about the why's and wherefores regarding Elvis Presley's demons -why he needed chemical augmentation, how it was enabled and condoned.
Colonel Tom Parker wlas his savior and Nemesis. We may never have heard of Elvis Presley If not for Parker. On the other side, Parker prevented Elvis from playing overseas or trying anything new that wasn't a proven money maker. Parker was not a US citizen I don't even think he was a legal resident. He had no paperwork and was terrified if he went overseas with Elvis he wouldn't be allowed back in the United States.
Instead, he locked Elvis onto the grueling treadmill of extended contracts, performing two or three shows a night. I cannot emphasize from my own experience in a league nowhere approaching the shadow of what Elvis was in the extent to which this sucks the life force out of you. Even the famous pianist Glen Gould attested to how debilitating the repetitive nature of touring performances is.
You might wish to note that the President Richard Nixon deputized Elvis as an honorary agent of the DEA. It was not considered drug addiction if your drugs were prescribed by a doctor. When there is that much money available it's not a problem to find the physician who will write the scripts. When you were Elvis Presley it would be very difficult for a pharmacist to refuse to fill one.
Everyone knew what was going on and were often the lackies who went to pick the stuff up. It didn't matter so long as they could get their pet monkey to perform and get their cut of the money .... Which in the case of Colonel Tom Parker, was exorbitant and by today's standards would be labeled usury.
Drug 'em and work 'em till they drop. It's a very common story in the entertainment business. I speak from experience after a 6-month stint in palliative care. I was only expected to last two weeks but I'm contrary by nature. HOWEVER ... I fulfilled my contract. XoXo

Accounts of the man Elvis, depict a freaky, insecure, abusive, baby man. His magic took place on stage. He was no great wit: no Ali, no Lennon. His legacy will continue in the music: the messed up realities of a sad life from poverty to unexpected, untold wealth, inspire sadness: his music could inspire joy, hope and a fresher sexual expression... a great performance - Elvis the showman has not left the building.

He was born in severe poverty, had insane mama/mama issues, amassed great wealth/fame/power at a very early age, and was, wait for it,.....most likely gay. If society had been remotely ready for his truth back then, he might not have felt the depression/anxiety/pressure to give in to his terribly unhealthy addictions. I hope he found peace. He was an amazing talent and superstar who helped change the world of music. Yet, bottom line, he was another mortal, imperfect, human being. He did his best and his life ended way too soon. RIP, Elvis. ♥
