@@TranscendFurnitureGallery😊EXCELLENTLY DONE‼️..... I live in an apt building and I see furniture in the trash always😒 I wish that I could save it, but I don't have the space, time, and enough knowledge or experience too yet🤔??? But I wish many amazing flips to you for making the most of your talents and your love for people and the planet‼️🫂 🌟It's GOLDEN🌟....I also wanted to say I know that your knowledge of what's authentic verses what's not and where it's made means a lot. But for the many who don't know much and or don't care much; do not because they probably aren't looking at their furniture for even half their lifetime🤷‍♀️ I say that to say the real gem is in the hands, heart, and mind of the crafter and those who appreciate their workmanship😉Remember that when you are spending time, loving, and building off of scraps and throw aways to recreate something AMAZING like you are🌻

That piece (as bad as it was in the beginning) turned out absolutely beautiful. Your art work on the front made all the difference in the world. The color you chose was a perfect. I cannot imagine WHY this would not be a money maker when you look at the before and after. Also you made a really good point..it has lasted for 54 years and with the work you did reattaching all the pieces..it just might last for another 54 years. Great job, I enjoyed watching your work.

Someone else suggested you sign this beautiful piece of art; I agree. I would love to see you get some tiny metal signs made with something like, "Restored and refinished by (your signature)" so you can put them on every piece you do. Someday that little metal tag will increase the value of a piece many times over what it would be otherwise because your work is already known for its quality. Thank you for sharing these wonderful transformations with us.

I ususally prefer more asmr-style furninture restoration videos with minimal talking, but you're so engaging and interesting you drew me right in! And then, the final piece looks amazing! It's incredible how lovely you made it, you clearly have an excellent eye and some incredible skills.
I also really liked your point about how the piece, despite being cheaply made, was clearly sturdy enough as it had already lasted over 50 years. There's generally such an emphasis on solid wood that the practicality of 'lesser' materials had completely escaped me. Thank you for bringing that perspective into my life! Subscribed :)

Holy moly, Angie, you were at miracle status with this one! Here in the Southern US we call that stuff particle board because if it gets even a little wet, it turns to particles. In other words C-R-A-P! Your rehab of this, though, makes it look high end. And your artwork gives it an almost 3D depth look from the front view. I wouldn’t go too cheap on the price. It’s gorgeous!

Another amazing transformation. I agree completely with your position on preserving these pieces and not just letting them take up more space in a landfill. Another point: this cheap "low end" piece from 54 years ago was likely made better and more solidly than many mid range pieces today. Our society is much more throwaway in its mindset than it was 54 years ago. Back then, more people hung on to and took care of their things. With so much viewed as short term and disposable today, things aren't manufactured with the same care and longevity in mind.

I love that you are prepared to follow through on making over a piece even if it isn't in the best condition, it's definitely an issue globally but we're finding in Australia that way too much stuff is being thrown out and there are lots of programs and companies working on recycling/repurposing things that would just go to landfill. I love to repurpose or just update pieces that would get chucked out, now I just have to do a few more markets to try and sell some of my finished pieces that are filling up my sheds!! The photo of all the tossed out furniture in a pile was heartbreaking - such unnecessary waste... And I'd be curious to know how much of a profit you did make on this piece, given that it's a bespoke, one-off, unique bit of artwork. Not a keen fan of painted furniture in general, but it was obvious this was the only option, and beautifully executed.

Angie, it's hard to believe it's been almost two yrs ago since you did this piece and it is still one of my very favorites!! Of course I love when you restore a piece with stains, tinting, natural, when you combine natural and painting, etc. But seeing a fully painted piece with your amazing freehand drawing is gorgeous too! There was just always something about this piece that I would love to have in my own home! Glad it poppend up in my feed to watch again! 😊

You did an amazing job with this piece. Why not charge for your work like any other project? Like you said, this is over 50 years old and it’s lasted this long. Very nicely done. I would have painted the hardware gold just to have a better contrast, but the dresser itself is gorgeous.👍🏼

You took a piece of crap and turned it into a { not subjective at all! } work of ART, that anyone would be proud to have in their home! The paint colour was not typical and the free hand flower was beautiful and unusual... So glad I found your channel, new sub!!!

The flower you did freehand is stunning. It made the dresser a work of art. I agree with you that more furniture needs to be reclaimed, Keep up the awesome work.

I've wanted to try my hand at updating an old piece of furniture for a while now (over two years!) and binge watching your videos the last few days has given me the kick in the butt I needed to go to the thrift store and pick up a piece to start with! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and creativity with us!
