Just put these on my 21 RG . I had Legend Revos on my 19 SG . I’m not going to knock the Revos as they worked perfect with the Axio I also installed in the front of the SG and they didn’t have the cans to compare it to. I went with the Ohlins not only because they are a really good shock but because I could put the cans on and use my 4 point docking station . I couldn’t be happier . What an improvement . I haven’t bottomed out at all and the adjustable re bound allows me to make adjustments on the fly . I also love the look on the fender. Yes these were expensive , but they function as I need them to for the different roads I ride on . More turns you can adjust them quickly , long straight rides , I can adjust to a smoother ride and so on . Enjoy and stay safe
I have mine ordered. I've wanted them for a while. Now they have the mounts that you can still use the docking hardware.
Plus it matches my black bike.and has warranty. Win win
Hope HD puts out an R model like the sport bike companies do. Inverted forks, good brakes, good suspension, sticky tires, good exhaust make it all adjustable. Keep a comfortable seat and the info-tainment system.
THIS!! Give the people what they want HD!
Yes listen up HD Corp! Ram/Fiat listened to ther customers and Hellcats platform is big in the game!
I was thinking the same thing... but I wouldn't be surprised if they do. I would've expected it on the ST. There is obviously a market for it at this point!
I think this is as close to that as we're going to get. It's supposed to be a starting point to a performance bike. Also we all know if they had a bike with all of that mentioned it would be comparable to a CVO in price.
My '20 SGS (114-to-117 Stage-4) I run Legend Revo-A 13" shocks, and Axeo kit up front. My new '21 RGS, looking at Wilbers, Legend, Ohlins, and the new SE branded Ohlins at this time. Undecided but leaning towards the Legend suspension based on personal experience with Legend.
I’ve never ridden the Wilbers but I’ve heard good things. Legend brought a Road Glide to the dealership when I worked there and let me take it out. Definitely impressive.
Big Bear Performance is selling the gold version for same price. Get it there for the bling factor!
Yeah I started looking around and noticed that also. Are the ones Big Bear sells co-branded? Not that I care, we all know Öhlins didn't need SE input and I HIGHLY doubt the SE versions are better in any way. haha
@@throttleblip9854 not co branded. I dont see BBP logo on them, but Kevin seems to be one of Ohlins bigger distributors.
2021 road glide special. Still running stock shocks. Leaning towards either Ohlins or Legends. Legends has a lifetime warranty. Still doing research
I ordered mine on August 4th. They aren't expected to ship until the 7th. I ride long distance and am excited about smoothing out those 8 - 12 hour days!
I'm sold on this Screaming Eagle suspension system, I'll be putting them on my 2022 Road Glide Limited.
put them on my 2021 street glide special, what a great diffrence the bike rides smoothe i havent done any adjustments yet..
I see your fountain of wisdom in the background, Buffalo Trace ! 😎
Nice video man ! I’m running RWDs ( $1K ) on my ‘18 RGS
Good content please do a comparison video on Wilber’s Suspension vs Harley-Ohilns branded suspension systems. From what I’ve seen Wilber’s may have the edge since it’s a complete kit for the same pricing.
Thinking of upgrading my 2021 Street Glide Special suspension. Have you heard of Wilbers LDC suspension?
High speed turns are dangerous on a stock setup, the left rear shock is adjustable and the right rear one is not. Dipping the bike left and right makes it really unstable since the stiffness totally changes between the 2. I have a 2021 flhxs and the front ones suck too but aren't as bad as the rear.
I’m still running stock suspension. Just got the 2021 Road Glide Special 2 months ago and suspension is upgrade I plan for the very end of riding season.
Great info. What about the front suspension? Would appreciate thoughts on that. Thanks
It's definitely best to do both but you'd notice benefits from either. On the front just a good cartridge kit is ally all you need unless you are doing track riding or really aggressive curves in the mountains. I like Öhlins for that as well but have ridden a bike with full Legend suspension and it was amazing.
@@throttleblip9854 I have Progressive on the rear already, they're an improvement. Will check out Legend for the front.
Also look up Wilber’s Suspension, Harley Laidlaw did a preview/test ride with them, great reviews!
Ive had Pro Action on my bike for a year now and cant find the sweet spot on them , giving up and gonna go a different route. Have you heard anything good about Suspension Technologies?
Harley - Davidson Number 1.🌎🏍🇺🇸🦅
#Freedom.🗽❤
LET'S GO!
Still pricey, stock air on 2012 s g,thought about coil over just haven't got that for,....just my 2 cents, thanks update brother ✌️☕️☕️
I’m in the market to upgrade the stock suspension on my bike. Is it normal to upgrade the rear suspension and leave the front stock? Should both the front and rear be done together?
I see it done often. Obviously for the best results you'd do both but you'll still get an improvement from just doing one. Typically guys do the cartridge kits in the front vs replacing the whole fork. Less guys do the front and I'd say thats because you can't "see" it as silly as that sounds.
Check out Wilber’s Suspension, Harley Laidlaws did a video on them.
@@johnmacias01 Thanks John!
The problem with the stock Road Glide and Street Glide shocks is travel length. The stock Road King or Ultra , or police model shocks have about 1” more travel. I got a never used take off shocks and installed them on my 2018 Street Glide and work great. Plus more lean angle. Of course the vertically challenged people won’t like them. Cost me $0
VERY good point man.
Hmmm… maybe an updated “Sport Glide” in the works? 🙏
What’s your advice on front shocks?
So are you giving up touring for performance? Or is it best of both worlds?
Everything I put on my bike includes a “bling” factor including the Ohlins I just purchased for my 2021 FLHXS.
Yay Harley Davidson is now focusing more on performance! But I don’t want them to come up with any revolution max models!
Off topic but any plans on the reviewing the Arctic Blast Street Glide? I know they’re hard to find but there isn’t much content on them right now because of it.
I run progressive suspension on my 2019 Sportster.
I've ridden a few bikes with progressive and it's definitely one of the better options out there.
J’ai installé l’été dernier ohlin 772 S3 … je suis satisfait, la je vais remplacer avant ultra classic 2015
J’ai installé l’été dernier ohlin 772s Je suis satisfait, cette année je remplace l’avant
What do you think about Wilbers?
I've seen a few videos but never had any hands on experience with their stuff. Is that what you run or are considering? I'd be curious to know what you think. Also now I want to ask the techs, some of them have 20 years in the HD industry so I'm sure they have seen some Wilbers setups in their time.
They gonna make this for SOFTAIL models ?
They haven't said. I would hope so. I think this is just an Öhlins shock with the SE logo. I know Öhlins makes a shock for the softail so even if Harley doesn't you could still get that one.
@@throttleblip9854 true that. I just figured for coverage under warranty purposes. Thanks for the response!
@@throttleblip9854 thanks for the lowrider stage 3 video. It helped me make a good informed decision on what to go with. Couldn’t be happier. Now just want suspension & brakes and I’m good to go.
Well if you’re spending $35k+ for a motorcycle then it should have the best suspension standard not the garbage that comes stock..
Agreed. But we both know thats not how anything works. No bike manufacturers put the top of the line anything on a bike. Out of curiosity what bike are you referring to at that price point? I just ask because thats more than any of the touring bikes other than the CVO which should absolutely start coming with these from the factory.
10 week wait after order
Give me the forks!! Please Harley, I need brakes and better front end.
I love GOOOOOLLLLLLDDDDDD
Must not be anything in it for you. People have your number blip
Huh?
WTF does this comment even mean?
🤣 right!?
No way in hell would i pay $1450 for shocks that are co branded. Thats nuts
Trash product DO NOT buy. Go with something else. I’ve gone through two sets, both of them had the cables discolor (rust) within a few months. My bike is garage kept and not left in the elements. Trust me, if you work hard for your cash, you do not want to spend it on these shocks. Oh yeah, and Harley and Ohlins told me to kick rocks…
