That's what we always try to do. We love Buckwood. Love love love it. Tho we didn't feel a whole lotta love back after this video... lol. So, thank you for this validation. 😉
Was at Camp Buckwood last summer to film over in Bloomington on my bike. Stayed 4 days in the cabin by the Lake. Loved my heated outdoor shower! This was in the heat of July. Lots to do around the area especially Nashville, IN. Great town with basic shopping. IU Campus and Bloomington only 30 minutes away. And the new Bunk house was a good time. Come to the southwest gents and do some reviews!
Im wanna know. Male only or not. Clothing optional or not. Those are the questions we are interested in get it in the beginning if not the thumbnail and what state should be in the thumbnail
Never have been to gay campground. My husband and I are looking some kind of new vacation to do during COVID. Love watching your videos to get ideas of what to do, we usually Cruise .
When you're talking about the "vibe" of the campground, you might say whether it's clothing optional and any restrictions on that. Also one of the biggest differences in gay "resort" places, including campgrounds is what is sometimes called the "sexual temperature," meaning how "cruisey" it is.
@@FullTimeGays could you offer some kind of written statement hosted off of RUclips or something? This kind of information would be extremely helpful to me and others!
I'm not sure what your level of knowledge is about RVs, but there are several kinds. You have pop-up trailers, travel trailers, which are pulled on a ball behind your vehicle, fifth wheels, which are pulled by a pin box that sits in the bed of your truck, and then motorhomes, which are motorized (think big busses). I'd start your search with a youtube video that goes over each kind of RV and then do a search for "how to choose a ". Hope this helps! Best of luck you!
It's a piece of cake with smaller rigs we imagine... and doable with bigger ones if you're careful. Not a reason *not* to go for the vast majority of campers.
Yes! We are going to do a comprehensive gay campground cost analysis. We also would like to interview you, Him, amd Rigo... amd we'd love to do a "behind the scenes" type of video on what goes into running a campground, or at least what goes into putting on an event weekend. Perhaps we can chat.
Funny. Had I been in a car trying/waiting to get by while watching/seeing you film your partner/driver, while we all waited, instead of helping!! A quiet hissy hit would have been thrown quietly in my car.
Hi Full Time Gays, what do you do for two weeks besides only working? how or why do you pick to stay at certain campgrounds. What hours are you available for curve side pick up :)
Ha! We wondered how many comments we would get on that shirt! We work regular business hours, so when we're not working we're out socializing, getting footage for our video, or if it's particularly slow during the week, for example, we just do typical evening things like watch TV or read a book (well, David does, Eddie doesn't like reading books). In addition, these videos take a LONG time to edit. David does that bit, and prior to launching the channel never did anything relating to video editing, so there's been a hugely steep (and time consuming) learning curve. On average, it is taking him 1-2 hours of editing for every 1 minute of finished video. Most of that is from learning new tricks... as he tries to "up his game" in each video over the previous one. The way we pick campgrounds is largely how this channel got started. David does most of the planning. In calling campgrounds, he found himself asking variations of the 4 criteria we rate on. Internet and Big Rig Friendliness are total deal breakers for us since we have to get there and have to be able to work. Each trip usually begins with a goal, such as making it to Michigan to visit family. Next summer it will be to cover all of the New England states, so getting to Maine is an objective. Then it's a matter of finding gay campgrounds within (ideally) a one day drive from the previous one somewhat along our route towards or from our objective .The toughest part is ensuring availability, as one kink in the plan has a domino effect on all the others. This trip, for example, we were supposed to start at SIRenity Farms, then Buckwood, then MI, then Freedom Valley (in other words, a clockwise circle). Freedom Valley was booked for Labor Day and so were the two places before and after. Our solution? We reversed the trip. Now week 4 (Labor Day) fell to Sugar Creek, which DID have availability. The downside is that we found ourselves further up north later into the season, so the weather was colder in Oct than if we were down to the Southeast, but that was fun, too... esp the fall colors. Hope this answers your questions :)
Omg I didn't think about tilt when it comes to a 5th wheel. We're thinning about testing our travel trailer in on a 5th wheel, so thanks for that info. Btw, just subscribed 😁 Of you guys are ever in the northeastern Oklahoma area check out our LGBYQ camping group. We have our spring campout coming up in May. I'll be posting a video about that trip. You boys be good. Gonna go be nosey on your channel now. :Nic
Hey y'all! Been following you for a bit, love your content and congrats on your new epic golf cart! An LGBTQ campout sounds awesome! Not sure if we'll be on the road again by then, but send us the info, if you can. We'll definitely check it out. And yes, tilt is absolutely a concern. I know when you're driving your semi, you don't have to typically worry about that because you're almost always on flat roads, but yes! And, thanks for the follow!
I went to Buckwood last summer. And I loved it! Who knew southern Indiana was so hilly and beautiful. The roads there are certainly tricky, even for someone in a car. But, once you find it, it is a great place, and very cool and pretty setting. I love that the tenting areas are so woodsy, and lots of trails to explore. Plus their hot tub is huge and open 24/7. The only downside was the distance to shopping. But, everything else was great. It was pretty much sold out when I was there, so there were tons of guys, and lots of bearded furries. As it was bear weekend. Some really gorgeous men. If it was not so far away, I would probably be there every weekend. If the campground added a store. Like other camps have. It would be perfect.
It really is a beautiful park! We weren't very popular there after the review posted but we really do like it there. They do have a mini store where the office is... tho I don't really recall what they sell.
I'm not sure what these cliques are that you are talking about. I was at Buckwood both weekends you were there and I never once saw the two of you out and about trying to meet people.
Thanks for the feedback. We actually said WE had a great time, and met lots of people. I'm sorry you didnt see us out and about, because we were - every weekend night. 😁. We explained our rationale for the high score we gave on the vibe, but as we say, it is subjective... and you're certainly welcome to disagree! ❤
Yeah, we love it there. We offered what we felt was an honest critique of the entrance and let's just say that many folks there did not take it well. Kind of a shame.
I think it’s great that you guys are doing this. Very helpful when you are trying to determine places to visit! Bravo!
Thank you so much for saying that, Jon! It is so good to know that there are folks that find value in it!
This is the only the 2nd of your videos that I have watched. You guys are amazing. Thanks for doing these campground reviews.
Thank you so much!!
@@FullTimeGays One small suggestion: Provide information about the shower house. Some are so great (The Woods); some are yucky.
I go to Buckwood once a month for a few days every year. Love the place. I believe these guys gave a very good and fair evaluation.

So enjoyed power watching all your episodes! Look forward to more, and more, and more ;)
Thanks so much!! Hope to have a new video posted later this week. 😎
Just bought my first RV 3 weeks ago and planning my first trip. Your videos are very helpful. Thanks
Congratulations on your first RV and thank you for the kind words. Happy camping! :)

Great idea, but very tricky territory with RUclips rules and regulations. Talking or even insinuating certain "delicate" topics could get us flagged.

Thanks, Rob! We'd never seen it before!
Where did you get your mobile home? Do you suggest purchasing yours? Can you recommend a RUclips video I can watch that compares mobile homes?

Great review as always. Looked like a young crowd there. Travel safe
Thank you!!
There is always a good age range at Buckwood. They just kept showing the same four people over and over.
@@fryede hahaha! If by "over and over", you meant one time, I agree 100! 🤣. Seriously though, agree with Darrell... wide variety of age groups!!

Tell us about the chicken coop!!!
It was closed last year haha. Fort Dix was open though. 🤔🤭
@@FullTimeGays I’m going to need more information. lol
Yes, I want to hear about the chicken coop too! Is that like Ruby's Cathedral at The River's Edge in Georgia?
The chicken coop is gone. It has been replaced with a new "play area" known as the woodshed.
