Wait a minute..🤔.. Bank 2 refers to cylinder #2 side... Which is typically the passenger side. Plus failed to mention that a faulty or plugged converter could also cause this code.
Bank 1 is whichever bank contains cylinder 1 and bank 2 (if there is one) is the opposite bank. Some engines have cylinder 1/bank 1 on the right some have it on the left. Depends on the engine.
I thought the same thing. I ended up changing the O2 sensor on the passenger side but the explorer, bank 2 is on the driver side. So, ended up changing both. Always learning something new.
yea im my car right now has both p0156 and p0161 both relating to o2 sensor in i believe bank 2. ontop of it reading a p0420 code which relates to the catalytic and p0301 which is cylinder 1 misfire. replaced the spark plugs and wires. plugs twice now and only cylinder 1 is misfiring out of the 6. going to change my downstream o2 sensors but i am almost certain that it's the catalytic converter causing this. more then likely my catalytic converter is plugged car is a 98 and wasn't kept in the greatest condition. also guessing that the misfire if not caused by either o2 sensor/catalytic being plugged is probably from clogged fuel injector possibly.
I have code on a wj jeep! Changed b2 s2 but code came bk! Mechanic thinks it's the b1 s2 that's faulty but not sure! Can old jeeps give a wrong code reading?
If you went by this video, you changed the wrong side. Bank 2 refers to cylinder #2 side Wich is typically the passenger side. This video would have your exhaust coming out of the front bumper. Lol.
I got this same code and my car started jerking on me barely made it home wouldnt accellerate and the service engine soon light started blinking on me hopefully i didnt do too much damage to my car
i have the same come p0161 and the bank2 i need know of some one people tell me where is the location of the sensor because some people say is in the front of the ingine compartiment
Loved the rough running engine part lol, bravo bravo.
Thank you Very much! Hope you enjoyed it.
hahaha fr
Got an email about the code with this video, pretty cool.
Lol this was great love the humor in this . Rough running engine was perfect
This is an amazing video for beginners. Explained well WITH PICTURES!!!
Glad you think so!
No help at all. Where’s the “quick fix”!?
He literally explained what it is, the problem is you aren't mechanically inclined enough to understand how quick it is
@@datsun7023I’m a visual learner 😂

Your link doesn't show up. On TV Roku. Many of us use TV for RUclips only. The only time i don't see is when I am traveling. And leaving messages.

Did not learn how to "FIX" anything from this video
I had an error code or P0058 replaced bank 2 sensor and now I have a P0161 code.
Me too, was hoping for an answer here. Did you figure it out?
@@bendall248 it's the sensor on the passenger side second one from front to back.
This cleared my code.

Thanks but you have the cylinder banks backwards!
I cut them off cause my cats were already off😂
