  • Elevating legrests have a primary benefit of battling edema, that pesky swelling that can occur in your legs. Elevating legrests help fluid circulation by giving your legs a boost, literally... Ha! Elevating them slightly above heart level encourages fluids to head back to where they belong. 🎶The love lifts up where we belonggg 🎶
And speaking of "above heart level," these legrests also take on orthostatic hypotension, that lightheadedness (what a word) some wheelchair users get. Again helping blood get to where it needs to be.
And lastly, they can also be really helpful for clients who require a legrest with an open knee angle. Power Legrests let you support them for most of the day but give the option to tuck them in for tight spaces.
So, there you have it - a trio of benefits from the wheelie wonderful world of elevating legrests.
Would love to hear everyone else's experience, have you ever have Elevating Legrests funded for another reason?
