Delivering a Permobil M5 with 5 Memory Seat Positions
Are you using 𝐚𝐥𝐥 the #MemoryFunctions on your chair?
1 Chair ☝️, 5 Memory Positions ✋- Let's find out why...
Doing a standing transfer into a power chair can be hard. This is especially true if it has a center-mount leg rest. The footplates make it hard to get back into the chair.
To help this user, we set up 5 ✋Memory Positions. It makes the process much easier 😌.
𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟏: 'Transfer In Position' - No tilt, footplates to the ground.
𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐: 'Independent Reposition Mode' - The chair tilts, then reclines to pull the user's bottom back into the seat.
𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟑: 'Drive Position'.
𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟒: 'Transfer Out Position' - No tilt, footplates to the ground and the seat elevated.

Phoenix i Hybrid Wheelchair - Everything You Need to Know in Under 5 Minutes

Is this the future of #WheelchairTechnology? So glad to sit down next to the man, Andrew from @_phoenixi to talk about his latest innovation in the wheelchair industry. I first saw this device when I did one of my "Wheelchairs of the Future" reviews. Never got the chance to sit in one until now. Let's just say, I'm a big fan 🪭. Why? (As always, not a paid advertisement, just sharing good stuff)...
Bodypoint Dynamic Arm Support in 5 Minutes
Просмотров 43Месяц назад
If you work with clients affected by a stroke, grab a tea 🍵 and sit for 5 minutes 🕐 In working with wheelchair users for nearly a decade, I very rarely see an arm trough used effectively. For clients who are post stroke, I often use a half or full padded tray. This can be swung out the way for transfers and ensures the client's arm is supported, no matter how rotated their shoulder may be. But ...

Adjustable Moulded Seating - Freeform Seating from Symmetric Designs

I am not an expert on moulded seating...but I know a cool product when I see one. Check out the Freeform Seating Backrest. Why don't I do moulding? 🤔 Honestly, it just hasn't been a part of my seating journey. I've always worked with modular systems (like Spex and Dreamline) where I can adjust pieces as needed. Having adjustability allows for: 🟠 Weight changes 🟠 Growth 🟠 Postural corrections/de...
Wheelchairs and Skateparks

Pushing boundaries is fun. I was thrilled to have faced the quarter pipe at #Rehacare. I was legitimately petrified going down this thing. I overcame it thanks to this amazing group that helps wheelchair users enjoy adaptive skating. Rolling in skateparks for wheelchair users offers the same benefits as they do for anyone else. Builds confidence, physical fitness, social inclusion and, of cours...
Air Cushion with built in pump! Star Sentinal by Kalagon
Просмотров 612 месяца назад
A game changer for air cushions Air cushions like ROHO are great 👍. They work like water 💧. Water doesn't bounce back at you - it moves out of the way to mould around your body, constantly, in real time. This is an awesome style of cushion to reduce peak pressure points. But! 🍑 A cushion not used correctly is useless - actually dangerous ⚠️. You can have the best air cushion in the world. |fit ...

Tips for Setting Up Lateral Supports on a Wheelchair From a Wheelchair Expert
Is available in India?
What does everyone else think? Have you worked with progressive conditions before? How do you navigate this scenario? If you agree with the below, comment with your favourite hand gesture emoji below >👌🤙👍🙏. It'll help others see the video who might enjoy it.
I use it everyday. Awesome product
Interesting. I always thought mid wheel could make tighter turns through doorways than front wheel because turning radius is usually mentioned.
I agree, the control is finicky at times. I use my Apple Watch SmartDrive app to see how much power is left. I use the Pushtracker on my iPhone speed and acceleration. Are you using these apps?
Do you even know any wheelchair users? Being able to move a wheelchair by remote control is something many of us want and need to be able to do for so many reasons. There are also a bunch of wheelchairs with this ability now as well as diy versions. Its shocking that you think thats a 'gimmick'!
@@trysormhd9385 Hey mate, I sure do! The purpose of my statement is to say that I think wheelchair innovation is not being focused in the right area. Having worked with wheelchair users for over a decade, it seems like people want to innovate what seems innovative rather than actually listening to wheelchair users. It seems like you are a wheelchair user. Tell me what functional task do you think having a remote control wheelchair would do to help you. I am genuinely interested as to why someone might want this. Interested in hearing your feedback.
Wheel can I but it
Is it available worldwide? If not, when will it be?
These chairs are so cool. For those of us with sore shoulders from pushing for 38 years, that power assist would be amazing. How much does the wheelchair cost?
Not sure yet! Hasn't been released over here in Australia. I would say it would be comparable to most titanium wheelchairs w/ a power assist (like a Smartdrive)
I've got a fairy delivery coming up soon. Stand by
How fun is the kid at the end? Dance partyyy
Not available in US! It’s a big fat tease! Looks awesome.
Why is most of the video and super fast speed so you can’t understand literally cannot understand what he’s saying? That’s really really stupid. I don’t know what y’all were thinking.
You said it hill but didn't show anything going up hill just like other videos say does this and that but don't also price or even how long it takes to charge or far it goes
@@Kingkong-jg2is Ah true. It's not my product. I'm just doing a review. Check out Phoenix Instinct page. They've got heaps of videos for you to check out
What do you think of this product from Symmetric Designs? Might be a time consuming job to adjust because you'd have to undo nearly all of the links but, that's why they have seating specialists.
What do you think of wheelchair users in the skateparks?
What do you think of this product? Will it open up more users to utilise air cushions?
What are you hoping for me to show for this year? What is the industry needing?
I've been using the dial with the smart drive for the last few months and it's so finicky I can turn the dial on and all the way up and it does not do anything then I can do it again and it's full speed at one click on and again and it's back to being normal speeds for where the dial is so it's a great product in theory but not fully flushed out maybe in a few generations they will have everything figured out and have better controls
But! Is this technology dated? Will other innovations like #NeuroLink advance faster than this?
I can't finns the next video on leg rest angle. Did you ever make it? Thanks so much for doing these very (fun) informative videos!
@@MammaLina89 No problem! ruclips.net/video/lfsVzImqh4o/видео.htmlsi=b7pwcjfoawhmuPRl Ah thanks for the comments. Let me know if there are other videos that would be helpful to you!
This is such a great video!!! Thanks!
I agree with everything you said. It looks gimmicky, not functional.
If only they put that time and effort into things people truly need! Like a lightweight joystick wheelchair that can tilt and go off-road (the dream!)
What do you think? Does it have more application that I am missing? Is this the future of wheelchairs?
😃
What about rear wheel drive?
Drive with the webspace between your thumb and index finger using fine movements. You have more control at the base of the joystick vs. the tip
Thank you for your tips. Wish I had seen this 4 hours ago when I got my jazzy air. I’ve already k picked a brick of the leg of the couch and dented the dishwasher.
It's crazy ugly though. Still I guess it's an improvement on the carbon black, that thing was a joke
Certainly looks unique. I'd imagine some people would appreciate the stand out look and no edge design
I love how you did a wheelchair doll as a review for a 'how to measure a wheelchair' review. By the way, it's just my opinion your very short videos are your downfall for fewer subscribers. Tik Tok is the forum for very short videos...not You Tube. Just my thoughts though...again, great video. Oh, it's true what you said about arm rests...but I'm in a Rogue 2 and they combine arm rests with side guards (they seriously cheaped out). By the way, larger wheels are the way to go. You go further with each push and it's way easier on the elbows and shoulders. Power assist wheels are even better (the 25" ones) and I hope they're a norm on future chairs. I'm also glad quad knobs seem to be making a comeback because people need to get more exercise.
Agreed! It's hard to balance the two. Just a side hobby so it's either I do long unedited ones or short and snappy. One day I'll move to longer form content!
@@justinboulos1 it was very creative of you....
What's your favourite standing wheelchair? Let me know why
i can't afford the space on my alevator so i dont have one who can stand
Wally Wheeler.
Bonjour~Wheelieworx, love it,that is perfect video-work. be well. 👌
I need a name for him. What do you think? Whoever has the best name will get a video shout out for their business or project they're doing!
I have to go with my prions experience because my OT has no idea how to measure correctly. She first suggested 16 by 16, as the vender measure my old cushion roughly when I sit in my old donated chair. Later on she suggested 14.5 by 14.5 as my old hair without the cushion. I kept telling her I sit deep in the chair so my butt is actually partly behind the seat. I can see the 16 inch width is too wide and cannot support my twist pelvis and spine.. Eventually I remember there was a chair I hadfit me pretty good and it was 15 by15, and insisted on that size. Turned out I am right.
It sounds like you really advocated for yourself and your comfort, which is so important when it comes to mobility equipment! It's unfortunate that your OT didn't quite get the measurements right initially, but it's great that you were able to remember what worked well for you in the past and insist on that size. Your experience and feedback are invaluable in finding the right fit for your needs in the future!
You know yourself best!
Do you prefer calipers, measuring tape, or both?
To be honest, a tape measure is fine. If you have callipers - great. If not, it doesn't really matter because we're basing our measurements off the trial equipment. If someone is sitting on a 16"W x 16"D cushion and I can see it is an inch too long or too short, I just base my measurement off that. I wouldn't even pull out the tape measure
Says someone replied to me, but I don't see anything.
Very cute. I have a blue toy poodle who would do the same.
What are your thoughts on this delivery?
Fantastic, brother! Keep it up!
Oh yes, yes, yes! I need this in my life. Just a question, do you have experience with mobility plus wheelchairs?
No personal experience with them. They seem like well-made chairs though. Did you have specific questions on them?

Thank you! Good ideas. Have you seen the videos justifying some of the power seat functions?
Nicely done - and take is a new term for me. In the states many people say "dump", I prefer seat slope. You've added to my vocabulary!
Which ATP exam are you referrring to? I would love to help
@@tamarakittelson Dump still gets used a lot here. I hear "Bucket" being used in the US sometimes but never here. "Slope" makes sense. I think "Rake" is just another word we can use to confuse people! haha

I chose because of my short legs, the lowest monotube is too high for me
Interesting. When it comes to TiLite, it seems you can get 1" lower on the T-frame (dual frames). I never realised that
@@justinboulos1 yes, and my vendor can even make it lower by the paediatric setting. I am only 4”9 so an inch make big difference.
