Alexander Conley Because it is a book written by a real prisoner of the second world war about coping mechanisms, why war is worse than you think, it has historical signifigance?
Alexander Conley Kurt Vonnegut was actually held in a slaughter house during the destruction of Dresden and worked in a malt syrup factory. This was his way of telling his story without having to tell his own perspective.
I know it's been three years, and I'm not trying to be inflammatory, but you should make sure you know how to pronounce foreign words in future readings. Gluck should be pronounced a bit like Gloock. Not a heavy "oo" sound, but definitely not like cluck. It's not bad once or twice, but as many times as it's said here, it got to me. It's like if you pronounced "hola" with the "h" present. Once or twice is weird but bearable. 10+ times would be grating.
I've never read (or heard) a book so entertaining yet so boring
