I’ve done both routes: BTS-Phaya Thai-ARL and MRT-Makkasan-ARL. Even if it’s more roundabout and longer in terms of time, the BTS route has a shorter walking distance to the ARL compared to the MRT, especially if you have luggages in tow 😊.
Just arrived in Bangkok 1 hour ago. We took a taxi to soi 11 Hotel.
Best choise when youre arriving exhausted and sweaty from a Long Trip
I love when your brother helps you when you say "..Ahhhh .... Uhhhh .... VIDEO!" 😊
Thank you for the nice VDO. The 3 things I like most about traveling in Bangkok are:
1) the Skytrain that offers a beautiful view of Bangkok.
2) the Sky walk that makes walking safe and comfortable for everyone while the sun is hot or it's raining.
3) Escalators and elevators that provide many services.
Hartelijk dank. 👍🙏
Thanks Jeroen! Always good seeing you, and your brother!
Always use the MRT/BTS and ARL too Suvarnabhumi, fast, safe and easy and not expensive too😊, enjoy✌🏼👍🏼🇹🇭✈️ 45 Baht is from Phaya Thai station, outstanding video👍🏼👍🏼
I stay in the Asoke area and use the BTS to ARL to Airport.
Another really useful video. Thanks
Your outro made me smile. Thanks for all your informative videos!
I used to go to Phaya thai then get bts to nana. Bit of a haste with bags. I use a large hold-all on wheels and a small backpack. Then I started to get off at makkasan walk to phetchaburi them mrt to asoke. Same route as you used. I then use the sky walk towards nana. Bit more walking that the other route but easier and quicker even with bags.
Good video explaining the train to the airport. Like the shot getting out of the station with the train.
Well done! Welcome to your brother. Hope he enjoys his time in Thailand

เยี่ยมมากเลยเพื่อน😊😊
Nice to see your brother
Looking forward to your Pink Line opening coverage!
Tq for sharing
Sometimes LRT's in foreign countries can be confusing and intimidating but the ones I took in Kuala Lumpour and Bangkok were so easy and fast. I have never done the BKK to airport run though.
Well done bro
A water after that long 🤪 train trip. Good video
Haha, thank you Jorgen ;-)
Welcome Mr.Jeroen's brother.
12:46 nice overlay
It’s a great route. Done it often just for a change of scenery 😊
Thanks for that. Have thought about using the train but now I can see it's not luggage friendly so, no I won't be
This is the exact method I use but I start at Phahon Yothin as my usual hotel is right by the MRT station.
Mooi jeroen geniet van de tijd samen met je broer
Amazing !! You use both camera and Drone tomake this Video. But sorry for 2.5 PM and have a nice trip .
Girl at ticket box, so cute.👩✈️
ill be on it tonight
45Baht is starting from Payathai station at the other end of this route to Suwannapoom airport that is the whole route cost my friend.
Suvarnabhumi *
Hello to Brother GTM ❤
I guess ฿45 should take the train from Phaya Thai station. Makkasan - Suvarnabhumi is ฿35
Did you ever try a wise card to enter MRT? It supports contactless but it’s debit not credit. I still have balance on my mrt card so I never tried. Is the express line really back?
The transliteration system for Thai words and names was designed such that it is virtually impossible for any foreigner to pronounce them correctly. Suvarnabhumi airport, is pronounced soo-wan-na-poom.
Subharnabhumi means land of heaven
there are 2 ways to convert proper noun from Thai to English.
- The 1st way is to keep its pronunciation (if its come from real thai word ex. Silom, Bang-Rak)
- the 2nd is to keep their meaning ( Ex. Singha, Rama VI road, the word can derived to bali-sansakirt but not relate to Thai pronunciation )
for Suvarnabhumi, means "Land of gold" Thai government choose the 2nd way as to keep its Bali-Sanskrit root word. Bhumi=land, Suvarn=gold
@@sohanmaharjan601Suwan = gold, not heaven
It is the stupidity of our bureau of laureates. Their romanization is OFF. Phuket is in fact pronounced BHUKET-PUKET. Phi Phi is in fact PI PI. And many times they just reverse their own rules back to the previous rules whatsoever. Idiots.
@@sohanmaharjan601 kya bol raha hain bey? suvarna bhumi : golden land. Basic sanskrit/hindi.
Ahhh. Nice to see your and your brother.
The girl holding a graduation robe who ran ahead of you missed the train and had to board the same train with you.😿
I wish they would reinstate the Express Line
❤❤❤
I have to go from Makkasan to Nana. I think the best way is by taxi. Someone know how much is?
From lat krabang to terminal 21 asok it was 40tb on the way back 30tb very strange
So if I get a train from bkk airport to Asok and back to the airport the next day, I don’t have to buy a ticket just use my Visa card? I’m just worried how much is my UK bank gonna charge me for using my card abroad??? Will I get charge a foreign transaction fee
Airport Rail Link (City Line) is the best option for a quick and cost-effective ride from the airport to the heart of the city compared to other commuting options. In less than 30 minutes and for a maximum fare of only 45 baht.
🥰🥰🥰
It's nice when many places are dropping masks for their staffs. Can't understand why Central and Emporium/EmQ/Paragon don't drop masks for their staffs yet. Do you know when they will do so?
its 45B from phaya thai
I prefer the phaya thai transfer that one is chaos
Goodmorning can you please advise how to reach Rama 6 Road Bangkok by airport link.
Thks
Phaya Thai and then bus or walking.
The app viabus is good to find bus-connections.
Wow, are you twins? 😀
Has the express line that goes directly to phaya thai opened again? Any news on that?
Now they're serving only city trains, No express anymore. 🫣
5:45 by ' wifi signal' I assume you mean NFC?
The nfc contactless symbol really looks like the wireless strength display of a wifi device 555
Interesting video! How did you take the video of the train from high above at 12:50, or is that from another unrelated clip? If you had taken a taxi from Asoke to the airport how long would it take on the same Saturday morning?
I was also thinking the same thing. How did you do that, Jeroen? Nice video, by the way!
I ❤ the airport link, but why is so difficult to get a taxi @ makkasan station???
Next time try Ramkhamhaeng station. Taxi or ride sharing cab can access the station very easily from the main road. Just tell them you are waiting in front of Starbucks
Friend. Why not stay on SkyTrain to Phaya Thai then to airport?
MRT is cheaper than sky train .
Je kan wel zien dat het je broes is
does the train going to don mueng as well ?
Unfortunately not yet. But they will construct the expansion to Bangsue and Donmuang airport not earlier than 2029.
Before that you can take MRT to Bangsue station then take SRT red line commuter train to Donmuang Airport instead. MRT Bangsue And SRT Krungthep Apiwat Station
are the same station by the way. Just different operator-different name.
Warning: this path is not suitable for passenger with heavy luggages.
@@sriwannawat appreciated your info..thanks a lot 🙏
Are there additional fees when using the credit card?
Absolutely zero; last summer we were in Bangkok for nearly a month and used our cards exactly like is shown in the video. So....... convenient and nothing extra added
$1
You are strange. You don't like climbing stairs.
When you get an escalate that does the
work for you, you walk up it. 😅😅
👍
High-speed rail to the EEC industrial zone, Rayong, U-Tapao Airport, and Pattaya. The project has been delayed for 4 years because the State Railway of Thailand was unable to hand over the land to construction companies. This is because state enterprises often allow people to illegally encroach on their land. and do not move out if the government pays compensation, Moving infrastructure isn't possible, it's really bad.
Thai government is too kind to its citizen. In China, they just bulldozed those illegal houses, they do not care as they do not have election 😅.
