- Cyberpunk 2077 3 Years Later. Is the game finally worth playing? After playing the Cyberpunk 2.0 update, this is my honest take. Since the release of the Phantom Liberty DLC and the 2.0 update, this game has become more popular again. But is it really worth playing? Let's find out. #cyberpunk2077 #gaming

I would love to see your thoughts in the comments 👇👀
Your opinions are terrible and I don’t think anyone should look at you as a source of good takes.
I call bullshit... Cyberpunk was great at 1.6 what they did with 2.0 was give people dead island far cry bs gameplay elements while taking away players who were actively playing cyberpunk advances... Everything people have posted videos about in cyber punk was already in the game. Just cause a buncha weirdos want everything to be fuccin GTA real RPG gamers get screwed. Theirs no more crafting no armor for the clothes no modding it... People talk about builds they're not building shit... you get three to four skills to use modify 8 in total people are making builds.… I had a build in cyberpunk I crafted my armor I modded the slots on weapons and clothing. And I specifically built my character my way... It wasn't cheating it was fair wat we have now is a waste of games for asshole who wanna play psychopath... with bullet sponge enemies.... I liked headshotting instant kills having strong pistols cuz I like John wu I like having my own net runner build that could do hella damage one shot drones not this garbage system they added for fuxx boyz

worried about the standard, dude we are already there lmao
You jus hating on a game that has already proven its good
The biggest surprise about Cyberpunk is how shocked people were about the game being a mess. A game doesn’t get delayed that many times unless something is seriously wrong with it. Maybe people thought CD Projekt Red could do no wrong because of how much they loved The Witcher 3 but that’s a game that didn’t have a perfect launch either.
It’s why games shouldn’t be announced until they are close to finished but Cyberpunk 2077 was first announced before The Witcher 3 was even released.
Snowball affect, the coomer witcher 3 fanbase bought into everything they sold, it created a snowball affect during the marketting where these guys attracted more people, and because people are sheeps they go with the herd. After some market manipulation and massive promise, cdpr had its consumers panting at them like a bunch of dogs.
@@cipher8400 why you calling them "coomers"
do you know what that means mate?
Cause CDPR had a good reputation like rockstar had back in 2013...
@@tyr573 '...good reputation...'?! Off of ONE game! And then they threw Keanu in for PR purposes and the whole world lost its shite?!
No way can you compare them to Rockstar?!
The game should have been delayed more
They will stop releasing them in a state like this game was when players stop pre-ordering them. Simple.
So never...
Incorrect. Look at Driver 3 20 YEARS AGO. Not pre-ordering games DOES NOT SOLVE IT! What solves the issue of bad quality are the people who make it, not the people who buy or abstain from buying the product.
Pre ordered the AC game 😎
to be fair they did allow to refund the game for a good amount of time after it launched. my problem with it is that they lied about making your choices matter and the advanced ai, and it still does not have that and probably never will. That means that this may open the door for other companies to lie about their games too.
They did not refund on steam, it was an empty claim and steam just said no.
Only started allowing refunds after a huge amount of blacklash from publishers and consoles, Hell the game was literally Bricking PS4's at launch. Unless you got it off steam, which steam already had default refund policy. Anything with under two hours of play time can be refunded in full.
@@nikushim6665 "Game" was so broken it ran in back after CTD, racking up time without user knowing. They said refunds w/o qualification and did not tell the store fronts. Sony said FU to CDPR, Steam said ask CDPR. CDPR said no, multiple times in my case. So yes: They lied to every steam user about refunds.
It's been 3 years with 5 separate requests and I still never got my refund for it on playstation lol
Start lying about their games? Must not have heard about the Fable series 😂
And this is one of the main reasons the 'cracking' community is thriving?!
Currently 25% of all games are pirated and the number keeps going up.
I don't necessarily agree with that community but then again I certainly don't agree with the simps who pay full price for a half-arsed game?!
I mean damn! Even CD Projekt's own shareholders turned around and sued them but all the simps continue to swing on those nutz?!

your concerns at 2:45 sadly are already the standard sadly. so many games come out are mid or buggy and get “fixed” in a years time or so, no mans sky and fallout 76 come to mind off the top
This game couldve been so much more. It was a good ride sure but fuck, all i ever thought about washiw the game couldve been so much more. Even down to the structure of the main um... ahem, plot. Its so sad becauseim in love with this genre and from a studio like cdpr, we shouldve got so much more.
literally every 10 minutes in this game im like "oh it would've been cool if they added _________" there are very few moments where i find myself thinking the game is unique or cool. i tried running through as much of this game as possible until realizing that's all the game is lol

@@Anthony-kp7sftf else you want? What the game has now is perfect…
Dude, I do enjoy the game, I'm just saying it could have been so much better than the finished product we ended up with ya know? If we all ignored how something could be better, nothing would improve, everything would slowly worsen. Hell, it was so wrong how they initially released the game. for a lot of people it was unplayable! People payed a minimum of 70 for that game at launch, pandagonerogue.140!
@@pandagonerogue.140what kinda bs is that you can’t tell someone to wait for number 2… we are talking about the first game ….WHAT????
How do you get to 60% when steam says 87% recommends?
Early reviewers said the game is 10/10 and "blew their mind" - even though they played just a separate demo CDPR provided them. I guess Steam reviewers just really liked the intro like them, and didn't care about the 80% looking like a Bethesda game :D Speaking of Bethesda - Fallout 76 now also has 75% positive reviews on Steam. I absolutely hate what they did to netrunning. Netrunners are one of, if not the coolest profession in Cyberpunk 2020 and Red. But you don't play as a netrunner in Cyberpunk 2077. There's no jacking into Cyberspace, at least not for you. You're just a solo with quickhacks, no matter what the game tells you. Netrunning should be almost an entirely different game within a game, with its own environments, enemies, quests, and gameplay loop. Every time I see someone in a netrunning chair in this game, it pisses me off, because in a better game, that would've been me. CDPR knew what netrunners were supposed to be, they just decided not to let you play one, then lied about it to sell more copies. They even showed a better version of netrunning in their 2019 vertical slice demo, yet people still seem to have forgotten that.
If you need to specc into something and specialise in it, you cannot be a netrunner and a solo at the same time. So either they would've had to do 2 completely different routes for every other mission or you would've been needed to be able to do both, which is pretty nonsensical, seeing that usually heists are pulled off by a crew of specialised members instead of single people just doing everything. I feel the approach they used is pretty solid.
@@asdfasdf-mn8iu If they didn't want to do netrunning justice, they shouldn't have made it an option. If they want to make a linear game, fine. But don't feed us the illusion of choice and call it variety.
@@jaffarebellion292 thats the absolute most retarded way of thinking about netrunning. Holy shit just because you dont get to jack in like Spider Murphy or T-Bug? Tbf cyberpunk is better than starfield. For once starfield wont get big updates and the size of the map dosen't matter since its not loading the whole thing just look at the NPCs and details and you'll see that cyberpunk takes the W 💀
And the weapons and combat in cyberpunk are just so much better.

Strange. I don't encounter any of these problems you list. Maybe because I started playing in 2024. This is one of the best games I've ever played tbh. I have however played Starfield too, being a huge ex - bethesda fan, and I honestly had to check so this wasn't dropped on the first of April before I wrote this.
The fact that you think Starfield is better than Cyberpunk 2077 should award you a medal of unique taste of some sort.
Whenever these complaints come up, I can already tell that they didn’t bother playing the game after its updates. Dude literally bitched about glitches (they suck but are inevitable) and talked about starfield 💀

AI stop on the freeway is a bug? Which world do you live in? In England, there are quite alot of “bug” like that on the small, flooded road!
Yeah these roads in the game aren't flooded and not everyone is from whatever shithole part of England you live in.
Have you been living under a rock the past 10 years? Loool this is the new standard of gaming release. People buy the early access pre release crap for their in game item or early access. If people stopped buying prerelease then developers would be held to a higher standard. I’ve stopped buying prerelease years ago.
honestly the biggest thing that i didnt like that never got patched is the story, its so rushed and nothing you do in it really matters outside of your ending(which also all fucking suck)

Rushing through the main story isn’t going to get you anywhere, this isn’t a speedrun
I hate that there isn’t a true “happy” ending everything is more or less “meh something’s gotta die”

Ur telling me in 2023 its still a thing to buy a rgh xbox 360
Bought the game on release, refunded it and never playing it again. And no it doesn't cost half the money, it costs $60 on Steam right now.
u spend half the video bitching about how the game was released 3 years ago... and talking about starfield for some reason
He couldn’t make a point if he stood on it
He was critiquing people who compare Star field now to the most recently patched version of Cyberpunk 2077 rather than comparing the two games based on launch only. So it was a fair claim.
I came to this video to see how it is NOW, and all he's doing so far is complaining about how it was THEN. I'm glad I saw this comment, so I don't waste my time watching the rest of it
But still you shills are subbed and "bitching" about his review.
Yes, how are you not outraged that it took 3 fucking years to fix this train wreck of a game??? (And it's not even fixed) they took nearly an entire dev cycle to add almost nothing to the game.
And he brought up starfield because tons of people are comparing cyberpunk today to starfields launch. Which is insanely hypocritical.
Just because you failed to understand his points doesn't mean he didn't have valid points to begin with
What this video mean to AAA game dev is that plan a release date then delay it for three years
I pre-ordered it and started enjoy the content around the summer of 2022.
People speaking out? You know I was hoping for that type of action in fallout 76 and now it’s still ass.
Now I get your concern but who cares. If you still care, maybe don’t buy a AAA game. Cyberpunk was a game I played day one but seeing it evolve was pretty good. And the anime, Edgerunners, really made it special.
Starfield will be a game I will never play. Not because of the hate that it’s commonly getting. I won’t play it because it looks similar to a game I’ve played before fallout 76. Maybe mods will save it but will it?
So why aren't we comparing the World building the characters the actual atmosphere because those were always the way it was from the start
Because its easier to hate on a game if you only focus on the negatives. These reviewers and channels know that Cyberpunk has a good story and gameplay but alas, commenting on the negatives will get clicks.
When the game released, personally it was rare to find a reviewer who praised the game for its story and overall vision and scope. It was all just about the technical failure the game was.
@@mihir2077but that stuff is negative too. It also does not matter where you come from, they said it would matter. It's piss
Yeah i feel your pain Dude. A certain game i used to love came out as an empty shell basically. They added very small bits every 3 months. When it became fleshed out they decided,"Oh i know! Let's change the game engine." So it went right back to square one, with the added 'bonus' that all the new lighting effects and fancy physics render it unplayable on my old pc tower! Even after they told us it should be playable if we can play the old version! 😂

I don't see why recent reviews need to take into account the launch more than they already do. its about recommending the game in its current state to people who haven't played it. Also as a community we have been down the road of extreme hype and preorders to disaster launch many times but the moment a new trailer drops we all board the train again. I agree that we shouldnt let companies get away with releasing unfinished games but i think we are and i dont see any evidence that gamers will stop preordering and building hype. i honestly think by the time cdpr releases their next game people will forget about cyberpunk launch. This is a very interesting video, because the title says you believe the game is bad, yet you don't provide any examples other than several instances of broken AI and other minor glitches. I was one of the people who finally picked up the game in late 2023 and also encountered similar issues that are somewhat distracting, but nothing as immersion-breaking as any Bethesda game. I can only assume you still have the experience of the original launch clouding your memory of the game, which I don't blame you for.
Your main topic seems to be about how it's taken this long to finally get the game up to a decent and playable standard, which is a valid opinion. My optimism suggests that CD Projekt Red itself has learned its lesson about releasing broken games at launch, but I can't say the same for the rest of the industry. Almost every goddamn Triple-A release these days has something wrong with it. It seems to only be the smaller games that fully work when they're released. We have to remember to stop pre-ordering games digitally when we can find a better deal online literally within a week after launch - which gives us time to decide whether it's even worth the buy or not. But, because there are hundreds of millions of gamers out there each with different spending habits and understandings of the games they're purchasing, I don't see this as a problem that can be solved any time soon.
Cyberpunk is (right now) absolutely one of the best games I've ever played, but I will always remember the situation and discourse regarding its pre-release marketing and initial launch in the back of my mind. I can only hope future developers remember it too, but only time will tell.
The game is boring as fuck, it presents a bland looking city that's 90% of the time in the shadow, samey looking braindead npcs and bad combat, with enemies being bullet sponges. The story is overly long and with way too much filler. It's worse than GTA v and it came out like a decade later. Plus the asses look mid and you can't even see them besides when you're riding a bike. Utterly pathetic

No matter the love I have to Cyberpunk, I can admit that I’m the shill , but one thing that boggles my mind and drag me up to face the dirt of reality.
This Cyberpunk 2.0 along with the Phantom Liberty should be the WHOLE main game upon release, and another dlcs as they prefer to, things coulda far better, sure that many people will complain, but at least it’s finished product, but two years ago what we got is a full price of AAA game with unfinished and rushed product, I don’t blame the bugs tho, it happens in every game even the finest like RD2 but the audacity to sell the other part of product is unreal, everyone who Pre-order or buy it since 1.6 should get it for FREE!!! as apology, the only luck I have is when I smell something ain’t right then refund it before my time hit 2 hours and buy it again for the half price. It’s like you buy a box of lego, build it, but it came unfinished. If you ask me which company I would rather give my money to in the future it will be CDPR, because they fucked up but the game itself wasn't terribly designed. I honestly don't think I'll buy another bethesda game at release and I was buying them at release since 2011. Starfield I got for free with new gpu and I was still dissapointed.
Also a lot of the bugs you show I’ve never experienced ever especially the empty roads or cars stopping in freeways and I would notice that cuz I don’t fast travel in that game at all lmao I doubt that’s a common glitch
Dude people like you are absolute bird brains. MOST BUGS IN MOST GAMES are not universally experienced by every player lmao. The game was so broken that I got a notification on PS4 which told me that, since I had preordered the game (according to something wrong in PS network I guess), tbe release date was delayed to December.
But I never preordered it lol. I knew it was gonna be a God damn mess. Anyone with a functioning brain could've seen it coming months before launch.
Anyway a few days later I got another notification that said there was a mistake and they realized I didn't buy the game so the preorder was cancelled.
I wouldn't have played it even if somehow I had gotten it for free lol. Of course now it's better: it's easy to improve on pure garbage.
Still looks like it's half baked. It would require at least 3 more years to complete it by adding several features that were promised and not delivered and fixing the very foundations of a game that can't be "fixed" by just piling up patches upon patches and adding more and more.
Immense wasted potential.

A true sucker here. I paid full price for Diablo4.
I tried playing it on Xbox recently and it was a mess. It started to glitch immediately, prompts not appearing, getting stuck on load screens, not saving causing me to have to replay the opening three times. Cyberpunk still needs a lot of work.

It is the standard for gaming now. Just look at all the scam games coming out the past years. A lot more.
And that is a bad thing...
If we don’t demand quality then games are going to get worse and worse over time. Why would developers try after all if they know you people are just gonna buy it anyways?
I was able to finish the game finally after owning it for months and at no point did I feel that addiction that I felt while playing other open world rpgs. Biggest complaints is I felt pretty disconnected from night city and the game felt like a Farcry add on
Cyberpunk 2077 with all the updates is way better than starfield. Without them, I'd say they're comparable.
It's far from even being a normal game.
The city itself is still the best part of Cyberpunk and even that feels like they could’ve done more with it

I just bought this after seeing all the great reviews... within an hour I saw cops disappear before my eyes, Jackie walking through a row of lockers and blowing them apart, and there was some weird overlay hud thing that wouldn't go away...Even ignoring that, I had a hard time being immersed in the story when this game is so cool it doesn't bother to introduce you to their tech savvy terminology, slang and abbreviations they keep throwing around. All I know is we smuggled an iguana, we want something from a Japanese guy's cooler, and Rick Ross wants a robot. The rest went right over my head.
Is it playable on ps4 I was one of those suckers who preordered it to. Played it a few days and deleted it and haven’t picked it up again. Now my question is, if I download it again (disc version) is it better to play it as is or update it first?
well sadly you don't get the 2.0. update with the vehicle chases and other improvement, but even the 1.6 (latest oldgen update) made the game run decently (still drops sometimes) and mostly without glitches, i played through the game on my old laptop (spec wise around the ps4 pro) and enjoyed it so much! the game is amazing but was flawed at the start with bugs and unfinished features, but if i were you i woud give it another chance
@handsup4055 the story and core gameplay of the game are amazing. the atmospjere is also great :)
You can't get the new update on PS4 which is not fair to people who bought it on release.
Played from day one, one of it's biggest critics! 2.0 has made the base game better, I have actually enjoyed my playthrough this time. I really enjoyed Phantom Liberty too. PL is definitely the road I feel the game should've gone down from the get go!
Despite being a small fraction of the map, Dogtown is by far the most interesting area and genuinely feels unique, whereas other areas, only really superficially so.
I'm gonna put taking so long down to the fact that they basically did a complete overhaul and rework of quite a few of the main systems and the fact they actually did some fucking testing to make sure it all worked!
I totally agree though, the Ai, particularly the vehicle Ai are still unbelievably braindead! I still see a shit ton of bugs!
I will give CDPR some credit for at least not just abandoning 2077 like most other studios would and actually try and fix some shit even if it did take a long time.
And yet all of us on last gen got the middle finger and “your fault bro, we were very clear it was never going to be last gen”. Right, clear back in 2019 you were clear about that huh, yeah because I bought this game knowing I’d need additional paid dlc to make it playable /s. To be fair to CDPR employees who built the game, they did not want to release it. It was the higher ups trying to cash in that caused the bad launch. They could have left it as it was and never fixed anything. The expansion is great and all the reworks to gameplay and performance are worth it.

I played it on a pretty powerful PC so my issues were always minimal. Ultimately my problem with this game can't be fixed by patches, the game itself is just... kind of boring? It's basically GTA with a neon coat of paint on and endless, and I mean endless cutscenes that serve no narrative purpose.
It's also funny that CDPR is making a "Critique" of corporate ownership, while the same "Critique" is done in a product that has become a showcase for Nvidia's corporate tech.... a company worth more than the economic output of Spain... a developed 1st world nation... but I digress.
Its more of a tech demo is anything else

Had to fast skip cutscenes all teh way through, why is it that video game companies think endless dialogue is fun, it's not that innovative or interesting now. Some story to strat the game off and once in a while bit it's just too much. Had a character give me his life story as we looked out on our next caper ( like tem minutes, why do I care about his childhood) and had to sit throguh myself playing a rock concert that was unskippable. Why would ti do that to me. The combat is not that good either, anyway enjoyeed the first half of the game finished the game without realizing it was the end wen't back and finished a few of the sidequests I missed and realized I missed nothing. This game had a great start and just got boring into the end. If this game just put more effort into the adeventure and action then dialgue and story it woudl have been better, games don't value our time anymore.
I cannot comprehend why are you playing a ROLE-PLAYING game when you don’t like dialogue. The game is trying to tell a story. And if you have the attention span of a fish and cannot just listen to the damn story you are playing, don’t play it.
I hate the cars breaking for no reason, in what universe is this game a 9 out of 10 lmaaaaaoooo
Honestly Cyberpunk was such a huge disappointment to me because it felt so shallow.
Yeah there is things you can do with the combat that can be fun, but it’s not really worth it because the AI is so dumb.
Driving is awful in this game in terms of controls.
Most of the rpg mechanics were painfully dull, and the dialogue is cringe.
Like you are barely given any meaningful choices in dialogue since it basically boils down to V “says something sarcastic” you get a speech check that sometimes does something completely different or it turns into a i win button, or it’s just yes.
The brain dance segments sucked.
Even the cybernetic skills are boring and hardly do anything interesting “oh boy I can hack into a computer to play loud noises to distract a guard”
I played in back in 2020 and played it recently after the update and it’s bizzare how much it’s loved yet something like Starfield is reviled. (Granted Starfield wasn’t amazing either to be fair)
Like your backgrounds in cyberpunk (Corpro, street, etc) barely matter because the same shit mostly happens, Jackie dies, Keanu tries to take over your body, etc.
Hell you only get a single house that you barely get to do anything in.
The dlc was amazing, the game itself is very fun, but i often find myself feeling lonely in such a small world after a while, the world feels empty to me
It just seems like your opinion is solely based on the fact that it released poorly years ago to justify that its still bad right now.
I bought this years ago and it was a all time great game coated in game break experiences.
Nowadays the glitches people point out are very petty and theyre pointing them out cause they wanted to see something glitch out.
Never the less, games can be still be considered great after its cleaned up but it should never have released like it did.
To be fair, starfields fps mechanics feels very cheap in comparison to the “day one” feel of cyberpunk.
All i do is play fps games and looter shooters and starfield is a great game that needs more work but it does feel cheaper than splitgate which is a free to play game.
