Dude... Seeing Jang's review video just snapped me back aaaaggghh! About the video: I own a Schumacher KC. It is my first racing buggy and I'll be honest I was a basher. Now 1 year of running the car made me realise two things: firstly yes, a beginner and Schumachers are not a good match because these don't like breakages and require a lot of care. Secondly if you take care about them they reward you! The first buggy I raced was a TeamC TC02C, learned this and that for a month then picked up the KC and after a year I can compete in the midfield where I race. It takes effort but if you put the work into them and learn it's tricks it can be one of the most calm buggies on carpet! Sadly I was not able to try out the LD or the LD2 and I'm not much into 4wd buggies but judging by others they work like a charm where I race. Easily beating Xrays and Yokomos (but again it takes effort to get here) Another thing I'd mention is the steering. The Cougars have that for days! On dirt they don't work at all, they are not designed for it (though the KD kinda is but not really worth picking it up imo)
The Schumacher pro cat cat xls absolutely dominate on dirt tracks, there is nothing like them. Kyosho have amazing 1/10 w their new optima mid, turbo optima and optima. The ultima is an amazing car also for 2wd.
I remember first getting into racing RC's being the bmax4. At the time locally in Sydney, local chassis from memory were the 44.2, TLR and Durango and a few Yok's. The Yok was edgy, not the most durable and the biggest flaw imo was the moving motor mount over time. Drove the 15 xb4, and was better, nearly to the point, too easy and boring! Still running a yok bd8 for TC. No need to ugprade!
Team associated seems like the whole package, I was out of the hobby since the 1990's and coming back I wanted something different but I cant find any reason not to go with team associated, living in the USA
Just an fyi. My 9 year old built the Schumacher Cat L1 EVO by himself. So I would say he’s either really great at building or Schumacher cars aren’t as hard to build as you mention. Great video for the beginner to get a better idea of what to get for their first rc car. You should look into the Agama A319 and follow their prototype design in 8th scale. Looks like it’s gonna be a game changer.
You should be in the broadcating industry! Thanks for the excellent video, keep them coming!
Yes I agree, Jeng from URC was very good at making videos. URC is how I got back into RC. I believe Jeng is doing lego build/review videos.
Excellent content. Can you, if not already done, cover the entire history of Kyosho? Please and thank you. Easy sub!!
Ultimate rc was one of the best rc channels ever!
RIP TLR 22T 4.0 and SCTE 3.0. Both lines got discontinued this year with no replacements
🎉

What's the track for the Schumacher section?
Nice overview of the brands! That Xray looks fast! 😄 Can't believe I sold it... 😔
Another great video. Keep them coming. You the man!
Great comparison and very value informations. Thanks for sharing👍
Nice overview indeed. If I were to race I think Associated would be my choice. Parts support is very important.
I enjoyed the have been around a while part , My gold Tub Rc10 was made wayyyy back in 1987 LOL
if in the us tlr is just as available with better build quality imo. but for 2wd buggy you cant go wrong with ae
Its sad that Kyosho pulled the plug on the 10th scales , they were really good
Another informative and entertaining video. During the Schumacher section, where is the from? That indoor track looks amazing!
I think that track is somewhere in the EU. Check out Orlowski's channel here to see if you if you can find it ruclips.net/user/MichalOrlowskiRacing
great video!

Kyosho discontinued their tenth scale line not too long ago
I'm getting back into the hobby after a very long hiatus. Sad to see that 1/10 nitro stadium trucks are gone...
Sample Text! (nice video though)
would you say the tlr 22 dc roller would be a good way to get into racing
Yes I'd say it's a very good option

One moment

My very 1st car was was a gold pan RC10 in 1998 and then I switched to a JRX2
No Tamiya? They are good to start with on a budget at the club level. A 2wd Sand Viper or a 4wd Terra Scorcher would be good to start with.
What about prego?
Bless you
@@RoachRC aww now you got me blushing ☺
