This is likely THE most requested video topic for years now that I am finally getting to. That, and I needed another reason to be called a poser. :P. But I don't believe in guilty pleasures and I'm a music lover through-and-through! I wanted to talk about some of my favorite artists and bands spanning all across the musical landscape. Who are some of yours and do you share any of mine here?! Be sure to let me know down below!!!!!!! But for now, cheers, rock on, stay heavy and have yourselves a fantastic rest of your day or night, depending on when you see this!!!!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Big Faouzia fan here.
@@ms.chuckfu1088 Hell yeah! Have yet to find another artist rival how unique her vocal techniques are!
@TheMetalTempestYT If you haven't seen her recent performances on Chinese TV Singer 2024, check her out. ("What a Woman", "Desert Rose")
I saw Faouzia in concert in late 2022, and her singing has gotten so much better.
This is a very LGBTQ list

My favourite artists:
Ice Cube
Eminem
Dr Dre
NWA
WC
Cypress Hill
while i don't think they're necessarily the best person, sewerslvt is my favorite electronic artist
I actually really like them as well---are there some sort of allegations or controversy? Haven't heard about that!
@TheMetalTempestYT the main thing is grooming allegations, their's other stuff like their name being a reference to junko furuta, which some ppl find disrespectful, and them admitting to enjoying loli art. i do take the grooming allegations with a pinch of salt, though, bc they came from kiwi farms
Im a big Nicole Dallanganger fan. Some of my other favorites
Leonard Cohen
Swans
Nick cave
Fields of the mephilim
Dead can dance
Pink Floyd
Dax Riggs
Deadboy and the elephant men
John Mayer, Hasil Adkins, Johnny Cash, Jamey Johnson, Joji, Cypress Hill/B-Real, Poppy/That Poppy, Darius Rucker, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Grimes, and Remi Wolf. I know some of these are rock/metal adjacent, but I think that’s a pretty complete list.
Hikaru Utada also uses they/them pronouns nowadays
Oh my i wasn't aware of that that's so awesome! I haven't kept up much with them on like a personal level so that's neat to hear.
Here are a few non-rock artists I personally enjoy.
Daft Punk

Gigi D'Agostino
Eminem
Macroblank
Skrillex
Coolio (farewell to him 🫡)
"Weird Al" Yankovic
Justice

JID
I could actually go on forever lol.
Since being 14 I've probably never heard or seen anything more mesmerizing than Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights" - the spooky girl in red from the videoclip dancing in the forest has always symbolized for me the magic of music
I adore Kate Bush and I'm stoked she's been getting more love recently!
Nice List! A few non metal artists I like:
Oneohtrix Point Never
At The Drive In
Fugazi
King Gizzard (non metal)
Tim Hecker
Frank Zappa
The Garden
Nick Drake
Animal Collective
The Mars Volta
King Crimson
Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga are fire imo.
Great list. I'm gonna have to give some of these artists a listen. Dorian Electra's music has had a stranglehold on me for years.
LMAO, so glad to hear I'm not the only Dorian stan in the building! Hope you enjoying the new recommendations!!!!!!!
Neat list! HTDC is a really solid ambient artist, and their music helped me sleep a few times lol
A lot of my favorite non-metal popular artists tend to be somewhat old-school in nature (mainly because I grew up with those artists lol), so that includes Peter Gabriel, Sting, Paul Simon, Nick Drake, Pink Floyd, Stevie Wonder, stuff like that in general.
When it comes to more modern non-metal, post-rock (e.g., Godspeed You Black Emperor, MONO, Explosions in the Sky, etc.) is one of my favorite genres (even if I am a bit tired of some of its most prominent cliches), and I love some ambient and dream pop as well (e.g., Tim Hecker, Max Richter, Hinako Omori, Grouper, etc.).
Definitely would have some of these if I did a rock-oriented one. Godspeed is absolutely phenomenal and Pink Floyd have been a staple for me for a very, very long time.
Surprisingly most of my favorite releases this year have been non metal releases.
That's dope! Which have stuck out to you?!
@@TheMetalTempestYT the new Joy valence and Brae album "no hands" as well as charli xcx "brat". If you want a recommendation of an artist I think you might like, try out the new stomach book. Fantastic post emo mixed with noise pop
For me it's mostly prog and/or post rock bands, and the weirder side of hip-hop and sometimes weird electronic and weird ambient.
got some nice recs out of this, especially for the pop ones like glen check, sounds like my kind of pop
great vid as always
Hell yeah, glen check's a great vibe and I always love shouting them out. glad you enjoyed it and hope you have fun with the new stuff to check out!

I like dayglow. I dont know alot of music but i just like the entirety of his fuzzybrain album
For me the genre’s outside of metal, rock, and punk that I like are 40’s to 80’s country, 40’s to 70’s blues, and 60’s to 80’s pop, I’m wanting to get into rap but I’m really don’t want to listen to the misogynistic rap
I will admit I've heard of two you listed haven't listed to any. For me there's always Sinatra, Bob Dylan, I listen to Jane Monheit a great jazz singer, Renee Fleming /opera, The Medieval Baebes, Joanne Shaw Taylor/blues another blues Samantha Fish, and a few pop artists: Agnes Carlsson, Ava Max, and Allie X. THere's more of course but I'm not going to write a book.
I really enjoy orchestral arranger Rush Garcia. His work is absolutely fantastic and I would say is my number one most favourite music artist of any genre. My taste outside of metal is mostly electronica and orchestral. Two Steps From Hell is another really good symphonic artist, and I've been getting into hip hop recently. Really enjoy Ren, Dax, NF, and Eminem there. In the pop scene (Twenty One Pilots Imagine Dragons are not rock and I stand by that), I really enjoy Liamoo, Ed Sheeran, Twenty One Pilots, and Imagine Dragons. A lot of their music has a second layer to their songwriting. Modern country is really the only genre I don't like. Jazz cover artist Insaneintherainmusic has recently started out in some original music, and I've been enjoying it, and nothing beats BlutEngel in the electronic scene. Will definitely be checking out some of these artists. Thanks for the recommendations!
Yey, Depeche Mode. Listen to them since 2007
My list would go
Billie Eielish
Maezi.666
Anton Lavey (A bit controversial)
Strawberry Switchblade
Danny Brown
Insane Clown Posse (In my top 15)
SZA
Tyler The Creator
The Cure (Hope This Counts)
The Caretaker
Opal Vessel
Girli
Jake Edwards
Svdden Death
Sidewalks & Skeletons
Diamanda Galas
Juice WRLD (We share one)
Nurse With Wound
Willie Nelson
I can't think of any more I'm crazy about
You have some dope ass picks here. Willie's such a great shout-out. The Cure definitely counts haha. Tyler/SZA/Danny are all people that could've definitely been on this list but I'm not super experienced with their stuff to comment too hard on them all around. :] great picks!!!!!!! :D
Danny Brown rep always appreciated
Also, seeing ICP on this list was a Surprise 🤣 I should probably relisted to riddle box soon
@@Haildarklordvader I love them alot, even the new stuff. Except the missing link albums. Those suck
I have to listen to Kate Bush😅
For me I only got one: Aurora
