This is the sport or the traditional game form of taekkyeon, where straight kicking and hand moves are not allowed, nor is it allowed to grab your opponent for more than a second. The battle form is quite different.
Try Taekwondo for the kicking and Judo for the clinch fighting/throws. Or an MMA gym and just focus on improving your kicks and throws. All of these may be easier to find
@@sergio-tn7gv competition taekwondo has been ruined by all the international rules. Taekwondo matches before the 2000's is different than what it's become today where frequent quick kicks and long reaches win points and matches. Today's taekwondo matches especially in the olympics are like boxing matches where only jabs are used to gain quick points. It's too one dimensional. Taekkyeon matches in comparison are much more interesting to watch.
I would love to learn Taekgyeon to include with my Kung Fu. I think it would be beneficial for close ranged fighting not mma which is a long ranged fighting format.
different from sumo 😅. You can throw them up front or by flipping them. The throw form is similar to Korean “ssireum” or Korean traditional wrestling. And kicks here are flexible and can come in almost all degrees depending on your skill.

Awesome from an ITF black belt. I recognise all the kicks..except that cartwheel kick. I don't think Gen Choi included that one in ITF TKD.

If this style of martial arts were my area I practice it.

It's traditional. Nowadays martial artists use more unique hybrid type of martial arts.
@@SKar690 exactly most modern MA use a mixture of different TMA
Nice. I thought taekkyon was almost extinct. It looks more intense than olympic taekwondo

Either a kick to the head or a throw wins
